Yūra (由良, Yūra) was a jōnin from Sunagakure. He was also sleeper agent of Sasori.

Background

As a Sunagakure ninja, he served as a trusted member of the Kazekage advisory council of Suna for four years.

Personality

Yūra was said to be an industrious and loyal person.^[1] From the little that was seen of him, this was true as he advocated new strategies and plans all geared towards improving the village. With regards to his loyalty, though two-sided, he was fiercely loyal to Sunagakure and after being awakened as a sleeper agent, showed great loyalty towards Sasori as well.

Appearance

Yūra was a tall man with black hair and a bang over his right eye, a goatee and dark eyes. Usually he was seen wearing beige robe with black trousers and sandals. On missions, he wore a standard Suna shinobi attire.

Part II

Kazekage Rescue Arc

He was also assigned to command the defence of Suna at the time Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage, was kidnapped. He was in charge of guarding the gate when Sasori lifted the technique that was blocking memories of him, Yūra killed all the guards to allow Sasori's partner, Deidara, into the village. Yūra was later used by Pain as a sacrifice for the Shapeshifting Technique, becoming a replica of Itachi Uchiha. This replica was killed by Naruto with the Big Ball Rasengan. His corpse was later devoured by Zetsu.

• In the Disney XD English dub of the anime, his face upon death isn't shown.
