While in Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, Naruto uses chakra arms to greatly expand his Wind Release: Rasenshuriken to the point where its size exceeds that of a large summon such as Gamakichi. Much like the smaller variant, Naruto is able throw this technique a considerable distance. When combined with Sasuke Uchiha's Blaze Release: Susanoo Kagutsuchi, it resulted in a swirling mass of black flames.[2]
In the anime, Naruto created an Ultra-Big Ball Rasenshuriken roughly the same size as Jiraiya's Ultra Big Ball Rasengan, which was powerful enough to break through a giant barrier.
Trivia
- On the Studio Pierrot website for episode 305, the "Wind Release" part of the name is dropped.[1]
- When this technique was adapted into the manga, there were a few differences between the two uses: in the manga, Naruto used four hands to form the technique and not three. The nucleus-blade ratio of the Rasenshuriken itself was also proportioned differently.[3]
