This is an ability that was first used by Kaguya Ōtsutsuki in manifesting the Ten-Tails. Upon being sealed by her two sons, she formulated a plan that would result in her eventual resurrection. This led to the creation of the sentient-being Black Zetsu who, as an extension of her will, would enact this plan. Like its creator, Black Zetsu was also able to use this technique to influence the thoughts of others,[1] or forcibly make them do his bidding by channeling his will through them.[2]
Madara was able to use a variation of this technique that could instead be channelled through objects. He was not only able to remotely manipulate the actions of his targets, but also manipulate objects imbued with his will using telekinesis.[3]
