Staff haven't told me they finished de-whitelisting .gif yet. That said, I wouldn't mind repurposing that abusefilter if it works. Instead of blacklisting a filetype blacklist generic names. It's been disabled pretty much since Wikia introduced it. The RTE actively screwed up our content. Someone would make a trivial edit with the RTE, all of a sudden formatting might be broken, the order of semantic attributes in relation to categories would change, etc...

WYSIWYG is fundamentally broken in MediaWiki right now. That fact was true in the FCKEditor days, the old RTE days, the current RTE days, and will hold true until Wikimedia's VisualEditor work finally deals with the fundamental issues.

Looking at the current state of Wikia's RTE UI. Enabling it would be a very, very, very bad idea. There used to be Animepedia (anime.wikia) and Animanga Wiki (animanga.wikia). Animepedia was part of my old ACG project. It housed the shared templates, scripts, styles, policy pages, etc... And back when Wikia restricted wiki creation and required notable topics it was going to be a central wiki that also allowed dedicated mini-wiki for anime that were too small for their own wiki. But that later purpose died off and save for all the shared stuff the wiki had no purpose. Animanga Wiki is the successor. A hub wiki bringing all the animanga wiki together.

So anime.wikia was basically dead. Staff said lots of people mistakenly ended up on anime.wikia and animanga was a term not everyone might know. So they wanted to point anime.wikia to animanga.wikia. But when they got around to doing that they skipped over my recommendations to move anime.wikia to something like anime-legacy.wikia and redirect certain things like the shared resources to anime-legacy. Yeah I know. Once upon a time there was a requests.wikia. You made a request for a wiki. And along with it you explained it's topic, notability, etc... and staff made sure that only wikis with notable topics that could span more than a couple pages were created. And that only one wiki on a topic was created.

So, part of Animanga's purpose back then was to act as host to mini-wikis on small series. Since the ACG's ultimate goal was to cover EVERY anime series in existence. Because in the Image Policy, there's written

And of course game images for game stuff. However please do not upload a game image for use on a page about something that is also in the anime or manga.

Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolutions is not described anywhere else than GameCube.

Show changes since

In the Wikia skin, the default location of the "show changes since" is located in the bottom of the recent changes page, which is quite counter-productive in my opinion. I was at the Harry Potter wikia, and noticed than in addition to several other links, theirs "show changes since" appears in the recent changes options box. Think you can talk with their code-maintaining members and figure out a way for us to do the same? I at least when I'm going through the RC page, I go bottom up to check the edits in the order they happen, and to have to either scroll down or press the "end" key to reach the bottom and be able to click that link, it's rather time-wasting, and adds up to a while at the end of the day. Property:Jutsu in image

Hi Ultimate and how are you? I wonder how this property works and any image uses this property, it doesn't appear in the image article like Property:Character in image, why?
