Re: Semantic MediaWikia and Semantic Forms

SMW and SF are fairly complected extensions. A simple explanation from me won't be enough. You should look over the manuals on and mw:Extension:Semantic Forms, and look at Template:Infobox/Jutsu and Form:Jutsu. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Oct 12, 2009 @ 05:23 (UTC)

I don't create raw handcrafted infoboxes anymore. I created iBox to make infobox creation easy, clean, and elegant so I would never have to touch horrible infobox code again. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Oct 13, 2009 @ 03:04 (UTC)

Re: Kanji

"Kanji" is just the name of the parameter. It might be more appropriate to title it "Japanese", but whatever. Almost none of the character's names are ever spelled in kanji, so there's no reason to use it. ~SnapperTo 23:33, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Your comments here and other places (Not going to look) tells me you have a problem with the management here. The linked discussion leads me to believe you have a problem specifically with me. While that doesn't bother me in the slightest (every place needs that one guy to hate. For good or ill.) I am curious on why. To be more specific, what is your issue with the management, and what is your issues with me? Thank you for your time.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 00:18, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

Trying to get my Tailed Beast Ball Rasengan page deleted

What's the problem? We see it is different from an ordinary Rasengan, and it uses an entirely different method of creation. --NaruHina fan (talk) 20:30, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

The first problem with what you said is thinking that just because you created it, it's yours. If it's not under your namespace, it belongs to the community. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 00:01, December 7, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Namespace

No idea at all. I think it has to do with coding, or else requesting the central wiki to create the namespace. Simant is the one who maintains our infoboxes. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:12, July 9, 2011 (UTC)

Ask wikia staff to create it. SimAnt 20:20, July 9, 2011 (UTC)

Hi. It has been brought to my attention that people in the Naruto Fanon wiki have been using my ideas for element combinations. On principle, I do not oppose that. However, that are a few points I would like to discuss. From the four links that were pointed out for me in my talk page, three of them being about a Release, I see that only one of them gave me any sort of credit or recognition for the idea. I can't enforce any sort of rule or make others abide to a credit practice, but I would appreciate it if pages which use ideas taken from page were to give me proper acknowledgement. I'm certain that there are others who have linked back to me, but I'm not optimistic enough to believe all that use my ideas are like that. By my ideas, I mean any resulting combination taken from my table. In one of the link in the kekkei tōta page, I see that even though whoever used Forest Release changed what is, and even them gave me credit. I really appreciate that, it's very thoughtful. Of course, should anyone have had an idea for a combination before I added it to the page, let's say Sound Release for the sake of example, I can't really take credit for that, unless they changed it to what I listed as the combination for sound (Wind and Yin) after I listed it, should have they taken the reasoning of how they work from my page. Again, if whoever thought of Sound Release (should anyone over there having thought of Sound Release) also thought something similar, that's not my credit, though I think a chat with the person could be interesting, some great ideas were suggested to me by people I discuss these things in the talk page. I have no doubt ShounenSuki would also appreciate if whatever images he created, which I'm quite certain the Naruto Fanon wiki makes use of as well, were to be credited to him as well. I'm coming to you because I saw that you're a sysop over there, so you have some say over how things work, and it was really lucky that you and I have talked before. Re: Image Request

I'd love to make those icons for you. Any wishes on how they should look? —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 09:45, March 31, 2012 (UTC)

I agree with you. Have you got Twitter or Skype ? --Speysider Talk Page | My Image Uploads | Tabber Code | My Wiki | Channel 19:17, August 29, 2012 (UTC)

User infobox

I highly recommend you not to make a user infobox using the template from the character infoboxes. Unless I'm quite mistaken, the extensions we use to populate character/jutsu/episode/chapter infoboxes will recognise that infobox as a new character, and will you as if you were a character to them. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:50, September 14, 2012 (UTC)

If you still want to make an infobox for your user page, I suggest making something like White Flash or UltimateSupreme have done. By using "raw" code that is indeed used in the infoboxes, they've made infoboxes for themselves that don't register in the extensions. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:57, September 14, 2012 (UTC)

Never expected you to be on this kinda thing. I only thought that fan fiction was the only thing that you did. Anyways, how're ya doing lately with your fan fiction. I saw that Raian has fused with Yamamoto in order to get a fire type version of Jujiraiku. Good luck with dat. Masaru-kun (talk) 01:39, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

Also, I've heard that one of your old Yonko buddies is back on the scene. I think his name is User:Narutokurosaki547. You must be estatic. All you need is User:Echo Uchiha and things will get interesting, per say. Masaru-kun (talk) 01:50, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

Naturally. I'm busy with college as well, so I don't have as much time with this stuff. To tell you the truth, I'm trying to refrain from this stuff because I might do something stupid, so I only come on to read stories and different articles made. Anywhore, maybe you can ask him for help with your fan fiction while he's here. It's not too bad to ask is it? I'm sure he'll be happy to help out an old buddy ^_^ Masaru-kun (talk) 01:58, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

One thing. I'm not trying to be "that guy" but a lot of users have been complaining about two certain pages on the Naruto Fanon site. Here's the two links:

Problem Page 2

Just thought that's something to bring to your attention. I don't know what it is but users complaining it's godmod. Take care of it when you have the time. Ciao for now ^_^ Masaru-kun (talk) 03:08, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

His intelligence is 1 in the databook. --Uchiha Suraku (talk) 20:16, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

Yup, and that's all I need. If you compare him to a tree, he might be smart, but if you're talking about the Narutoverse in general, he has arguably the lowest IQ in the series. 0.5 is the lowest possible score he could have as 0 would mean lacking the ability to breathe.

Your little points about him mastering a standard Fireball technique and whatever other "amazing" feats he accomplished hold no value. As for being in one databook, that's because he was only shown for 5 chapters, but the entry he has represents the stats during the Third Shinobi World War, thus he is classified as quite stupid. --Uchiha Suraku (talk) 21:35, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

You should probably rename your username to JTC for Jumping to Conclusions. Did I ever once say that Tobi wasn't Obito? I simply said I couldn't comprehend the idea, but just because I can't make sense of it doesn't mean it isn't true/I don't believe that Tobi is a form of Obito. Clearly Obito does play a factor in Tobi, but it doesn't mean that's all that entails.

The fact that you don't question Tobi's history is ludicrous. You seem like a reader who takes every shred of information thrown at them without analyzing it and understanding it. I call you people Black and White readers, since those are the only two colors you are able to see. Naruto is a fictional piece comprised of endless possibilities, and to limit your perspective by saying Tobi's identity is simply Obito and nothing more is atrocious. You evidently have not thoroughly inspected all of Tobi's words and actions. We can continue this discussion once you have done so. But yes, for now, I will live in my world of open mindedness while you wallow in your fantasy of limited beliefs. --Uchiha Suraku (talk) 00:16, September 18, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Important question

Sorry for the (very) late reply, things kinda crazy over here with college just coming off of a strike. Regarding your questions, yes, I do think it's possible for you to become an administrator at some point. As far as I know, there really isn't a standardised process one has to go to become an administrator. Promotion to administrator kinda happens in a as-needed basis. I don't recall my edit count when I was promoted, but I do recall that it was during a time of much more frequent vandalism. I used to leave several messages in Jacce's talk page, requesting vandal users and IPs to be blocked. I know nothing about the promotion of other users, and I think I'm the most recently promoted administrator, but I can't guarantee that. I think I already had rollback rights though, that is usually a good indicator, and in the other wiki where I edit regularly, being a rollback user is a requisite to become administrator. The only event regarding user promotion in this wiki I recall was a while back when vandalism began rising again, but we didn't have many rollback users, and since most rollback users and administrators live in certain timezones, there was a rather large window of time during which reverting of vandalism was a bit more laborious for regular users. I think that Dantman, this wiki's bureaucrat arranged so sysops can also grant rollback rights, though I don't recall if he also made it possible for we to grant sysop rights, I'd have to look that up. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 02:23, September 20, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Sysop

Generally there isn't really a process, it's just a function of what the wiki needs. We don't give anyone a flag just to give it to them, it's not a status symbol. But if a user is marking spam with {{Delete}} frequently, or frequently poking an admin to block a spammer, or needs to edit protected templates regularly, etc... and they seem to be responsible. Then we give a flag so they can go ahead and do the stuff they were already doing, without needing to poke someone else each and every time. ~ Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (Local TalkAnimanga Talk) 15:25, October 14, 2012 (UTC)
