Re: Plies

The bulleted lines don't stick out much. ~SnapperTo 05:35, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

You could do something with Naruto Uzumaki/Filler Arc. ~SnapperTo 17:26, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
Move it to Naruto: Original arcs? Then you'd treat it like all the other arc articles. ~SnapperTo 17:57, October 13, 2009 (UTC)

Since the paths are using the jutsu template, that's the only way to get their jutsu to show up in their infobox. ~SnapperTo 05:18, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Date columns should ideally be wide enough so that there's no line break. Other than that I have no preference. ~SnapperTo

I don't expect line breaks to be completely eliminated. Line-breaking dates just seems like an easy fix. ~SnapperTo 19:29, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Because the databook categorizes them as a traveler? ~SnapperTo 19:10, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Technically it didn't need to be deleted; there are lots of useless redirects around the wiki. ~SnapperTo 20:11, December 30, 2009 (UTC)

It's as of whenever they last appeared. If they were in a flashback, it's how old they were in the flashback. If they're dead, it's how old they were when they died. ~SnapperTo 21:54, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Oh. Sorry. So you've just been making sure the template works properly or something? ~SnapperTo 19:28, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

I was skipping over characters that had one or more of those problems. ~SnapperTo 19:40, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
I'll wait to see if Dantman has any comments before continuing. With the relatives problem, would it be simpler to just ditch semantics? I'm not sure what the benefit of sorting would be if everything is already present in the respective characters' infoboxes. ~SnapperTo 19:52, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
I was about to switch Shino's infobox, but Shibi wasn't showing up. I then switched Shibi's infobox but that didn't solve anything. ¿? ~SnapperTo 23:35, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
Oh! That's what I get for skipping over stuff that I assume goes over my head. ~SnapperTo 23:39, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
The null edits need to be made using the form, which I didn't do the first time. In any event, characters with/who are parents are going on my "to burn in hell" list. ~SnapperTo 23:57, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
I assume by name property you mean the english parameter? ~SnapperTo 20:09, January 19, 2010 (UTC)
Then maybe it's just being finicky with me. On the bright side, we're almost done with characters with relatives. ~SnapperTo 20:16, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

No. I couldn't find any actual translations of the first data book, so that's just my description of what she was doing. I assumed that she was naked in the manga, but she is not. So, a pool I guess? ~SnapperTo 00:23, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks :3 ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 20:15, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

The databooks give it as Academy graduation age. Switching it to Genin promotion age would technically not be wrong, but</fragment> ~SnapperTo 06:49, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

Image Request

I uploaded the building - File:The Building for The Academy Teaching Exam.JPG. But don't know in which section at Ninja Academy to put it. At Ninja Academy it is not mention anything about Teaching Exam and I thing that it should be made new section or an new article. In the same episode there are few more names whose past this exam and we should write them. About the building we can describe what is inside based on what we saw in the episode. So I think a new article is more appropriate for this situation.--Donatelo (talk) 08:54, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

OK. But what should be the name? Academy Teaching? Teaching Academy? This is complicated. In Chunin is said "Some of them, like Iruka Umino and Mizuki, function as teachers" so it may be better to put a new rank - Teacher - and there it should be explain what is teacher, how you become teacher, what are you doing like teacher(for example - I saw that Iruka i Mizuki wear chunin cloths when they took the academy teaching exam - so you can become teacher after you become chunin). And the names of the teachers - Umino Iruka, Mizuki, Midori Kusaha, Fuumi Yutaka, Suzume Namida or something like that - these names are shown at the board in episode 145. And Mizuki is not shown to pass this exam or he is in the bottom - candidate. So it is complicated. :) About the rank - I don't know if this is rank, but can't be anything else. Or may be this is part of the Chunin rank and all of this should be written in Chunin but teaching exam is not chunin exam. So many possibilities. :)--Donatelo (talk) 18:54, November 21, 2009 (UTC)
I added the two pictures you requested. Don't know how I missed them and didn't see them. What about "The Building for The Academy Teaching Exam"? I still have the picture. When you decide what to do with the article tell me to put it.--Donatelo (talk) 14:30, December 6, 2009 (UTC)
I added the pictures you requested. From now on I will add PNG pictures, not JPEG. I didn't know that I can do PNG file, I just made up screenshots and they were JPEG, but know I learn something new. And PNG is more colorful then JPEG. And I found in the options where to change that and I changed it. :)--Donatelo (talk) 17:29, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

One question. What should be the resolution of an image? A mean, my laptop is 1280x800, but then the image is stretch. Is there some kind of ratio? Should I make the pictures 1068x800? What is the minimal length for 800? I know it depends on the original size of the film. I am starting to confuse you. :)--Donatelo (talk) 17:15, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Jinchūriki Transformations

I don't think those need to be present in the jutsu section, they aren't really jutsu. How about something below it, separated by a line like {{#ifexist:{{PAGENAME}}'s Jinchūriki Forms|[[{{PAGENAME}}'s Jinchūriki Forms|Jinchūriki Forms]]}} to automatically link to it, no semantics. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Dec 31, 2009 @ 08:03 (UTC)

Re: Fūinjutsu

Those markings seem to be based on a mixture of cursive kanji and Brāhmī-based scripts like Devanāgarī, giving an impression of ancient spells as used by the Onmyōji and Buddhist priests of old.

I don't think they are anything more than decoration, though. However, I do know that the Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique had some legible text, at least. It uses the same nine-syllable that gave the Databooks their name: 臨兵闘者皆陣裂在前 (Rinpyōtōshakaijinretsuzaizen). --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 13:14, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Rasengan

What is wrong with you people and logic? When Naruto does a Rasengan without a clone, he needs to show it without a clone? And you're not a mod, Simant. Naruto's chakra control has greatly improved since part 1. He should be able to do a One Handed Rasengan easily. Why can't you logically comprehend that? —This unsigned comment was made by SuperSaiyaMan‎ (talkcontribs) .

Chakra nature

You know these infoboxes you're making for characters? The chakra nature property isn't working, they're not being listed as having a chakra nature after you remove the ninja icon template. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:11, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

  • Everyone. Take Gozu for example. He has Earth Release, but in the facts box below the article, the one we can use filters from, chakra natures don't appear. Tenzo is still listed as having it because the title icons template is still there, but when I preview the page without it, it happens to him, he's listed as having Wood Release kekkei genkai, but not Water and Earth Release chakra natures. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:16, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
    • It shows up now, but under a different property name. Before, it was jutsu type, after you made the change, Tenzo would show Has Chakra Nature and Jutsu type properties. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 00:20, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

New infobox and ANBU

I like the new character infobox, but I was wondering if it was possible to put the ANBU rank back in the rank box? There is only one person for whom this poses a problem and that is Kakashi, since the ANBU rank is generally considered the highest, but he is best known as a jōnin and it would be odd to not list him as such. This problem could easily be solved by allowing two ranks to be listed.

Putting ANBU with ranks again would solve problems like Yamato being listed as a chūnin. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 23:28, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Removing the chūnin rank from Yamato's infobox would seemingly leave him without a rank. Also, it wouldn't solve the problem of ANBU being a rank and not being treated as one, which is plainly wrong. I recall having had a discussion with Dantman about this and if I'm not mistaken, he proposed the double rank solution... --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 23:44, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I just re-read the conversation with Dantman and it seemed there were some minor issues. Apparently it would screw up certain queries or something.
You can read it for yourself here and here. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 23:54, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
I have absolutely no idea how that stuff works, but the problem isn't just with the ANBU rank. there is also the issue of samurai ranks, the medical teams, and civilians, all of which ideally should have a place within the infobox. Although civilian could be placed under classification, that solution would be rather inappropriate for samurai ranks and medical team members. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 00:11, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
I don't see why he shouldn't approve. Putting ANBU under classification was only done to solve an organisational problem. if that problem can be solved while still treating ANBU as a rank, that is only an improvement. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 00:35, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
If you don't mind me asking, how is it going with moving the ANBU rank from the classification to the rank row? --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 12:45, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Blood Type

Sounds fine. Looking at the infobox I don't even understand what it means, a trivia item can expand and explain. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jan 19, 2010 @ 17:35 (UTC)

Just to explain, Rh is just another blood type, like the ABO system. 99% of Asians are Rh+ (84% of Europeans is Rh+, as well). If an Rh- woman is pregnant with an Rh+ child, this can lead to hæmolytic disease of the newborn, where the mother's antibodies attack the fœtus' blood cells. However, being Rh- isn't dangerous, as far as I'm aware.
The Rh factor also isn't considered in the theory that blood type and personality are connected. So maybe Kishimoto-sensei just wanted Hayate to be special in some way, or maybe he thought it was a Rh- child that was at risk, instead of an Rh+ child. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 23:50, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

Infobox possible bug

In some character infoboxes, the line which separates a field's name and its content, such as kekkei genkai and debut, it stops at the gray area just under the image, but it appears again in the gray area above the image. It doesn't happen with all characters, so I don't know what triggers it, but I do know that it's not a browser thing, there's no difference whether it's done with Firefox, Chrome or Opera.
