Re: Hi there

The bulk is pretty much what I theorized about in the table. As I say in the top of the page, everything in that page is speculation, and not to be taken as canon. I'm not saying that it does exist, I'm just saying that it's something I can see making sense for a combination of fire and yang natures. With the revelation of Yang Release being responsible for breathing life into things, I understood the yang nature as "putting energy" into things, to energize them. Applying that to the fire nature, I thought that radiation was a decent proposition of something that could burn and be hot, but more so than fire. First of all, when keeping a talk like this, there's no need to make a new topic every time, it's easier to keep track of things if you just reuse the topic that's already there. Second, you need to sign your posts. Just put in four tildes in the end of your post (a tilde is ~). Radiation is strictly speaking a very wavelength. Light, heat and radio waves are essentially the same thing, but with different wavelengths, so it definitely exists as a physical thing. In the Naruto universe, there is some knowledge about that, because they have radios, as we saw way back in the Kazekage Rescue arc. From the top of my head, I'm not 100% sure if this happened, but I think Lee may have had an x-ray after his fight with Gaara, or when Tsunade examined him before saying he should quit being a ninja. X-rays are done with radiation. Radiation just exists because there are things that emit it, like the sun and the starts. Just because it may have yet to be "discovered", it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The icons were made by ShounenSuki, as explained in the credits section of the page. If there is another reference to something which involves radiation, I don't remember it. What I mean about waves is the physics concept. The light we see is a wave, which varies in a certain wavelength interval. Radiation is the same, but in a different interval. More on that here. I said there could be an X-ray, I don't remember if it was there for sure. I can't give you a link if I don't know if it's really there. Regardless, there are references to some technology in the Naruto world, so it's likely they know something about it. And like I said before, just because they might not know about it, it doesn't mean it's not there. The sun and the stars discharge great amounts of energy, some of which is radiation. They have sun and starts, ergo they have radiation. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:27, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
Not quite. Radiation is an electromagnetic wave, sound is a mechanical wave. Sound is a variation of pressure that propagates through the air until it dissipates, being absorbed by things in its way, or else being "drowned out" by other sounds. All my ideas and the explanation for them are in my table, which you already saw. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:06, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

I have never actually thought about making techniques based on those, I'm not an RPG kind of person. The most basic protection against radiation would be lead. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:10, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

No. Lead is something very specific. All the info I can give you is available at wikipedia, you can dig it up yourself. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:27, March 26, 2011 (UTC)

You can call an element "pizza" if you want, it's just going to sound and feel bad. There's a Lava Release technique which kinda acts like cement already. I'm not sure if it's possible to create an icon for cement, as I believe that's not a natively Japanese word, so there might not be an actual kanji for it. Re: Moon release?

I was suggested the idea by ShounenSuki, the explanation is available in the reasoning section of the theory table containing Moon Release. When I was considering that there were possible stronger counterparts between elements (before Yin Release and Yang Release were revealed). When Yin and Yang became Releases as well, I was told that Sun and Moon would be interesting ideas, because in Japanese, they're also commonly known as "Big Yang" (the sun) and "Big Yin" (the moon). I never really though of what they'd do, since we don't what exactly basic Yin Release and Yang Release do separately. I wouldn't say Sun Release does what you suggested, neither do I think Moon Release would do act similarly. I think they'd do whatever Yin and Yang do, but orders of magnitude more powerful. For example, Yin Release was said to create form. Maybe Moon Release manipulates form in pretty complex ways, kinda like Izanagi, but less powerful and with more varied effects.
