TheUltimate3

How do you get protections removed or place them? I am dealing with TheUltimate3 who placed the Seven-Tailed Horned Beetle under protection just because undid his edit to remove the anime image. I do not think it is fair that since only he doesn't like the anime image for him to block it. Since you are an admin I figured to turn to you. I hope you can help me with this. Banan14kab 02:14, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

Two things

  1. ) I have no problem with the anime image. In fact, I have a feeling a short but epic battle of words will erupt between ShounenSuki and myself over this, with him on the Pro-Manga side and me by virtue of our past glorious debates, on the Pro-Anime side.
  2. ) Sorry ShounenSuki for posting this comment on your Talk Page.--TheUltimate3 ~Keeper of Lore~ 02:18, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

And feel free to ignore this question but is there a reason to your decision to edit less? Not having you to fight with on a somewhat regularly basis will be most disappointing.--TheUltimate3 ~Keeper of Lore~ 01:06, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

I was wondering that too ever since you posted that message, but I didn't know how to approach you about it. Is something going on, Suki-senpai?--NinjaSheik 01:13, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

Don't worry, don't worry, nothing's 'going on' and I'll be around enough to bash heads with you, TheUltimate3 ^^ I'm nearing the end of the school year, with my exams coming up in May. Next year will be my last and will include me having to take a work placement and doing one of the toughest exams available in the Netherlands — one including me having to now the general history, culture, and societal workings of the UK, the US, the Netherlands, and the EU in general.
I simply can't spend as much time here as I want any more, so I decided to cut down on those parts I enjoy the least. As much as it pains me to do. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 11:58, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

Madara's prey

Helo vidley famous and internet popularity shonensuki...So in chapter 536 madara need's someone to fit for gedo mazo statue. So some informations says it is sasuke. Now we don't know for sure so maybe its that blonde kirigakure ninja (it's 1 to 100 chance) or maybe someone else...What do you mena? But you could look from this point of vew if you like, maybe kishimoto doesn't want to hurt naruto and bee. He killed third hokage, jiraya but when he came to tsunade and wanted to close the ring of sanins he rielized that if he kill tsunade than there will be nobody enough powerful to deal with truble.Akatsuki are S rang and bad guys jiraya tsunade hirunzen were S class good guys.So if he kill all the most powerful good guys than nobody enough powerful will be left to fight madara who is maybe a super s class. He killed almost everybody who were conected to third hokage jiraya(maybe he is not dead maybe he summoned toad who took him to safe and did as real ninja hididng healing his vounds and waiting to atack top vilain), asuma, orochimaru(maybe he is not dead). Now this is everything teory. Recent batch of icons

Many thanks again. You got really creative with the pulse one. Just a question: it could be a rendering issue with the browser, but in the dawn one, in the sun radical, is the second (I think it's the second) stroke a bit too short? Shouldn't it go a bit beyond the line instead of just touching it? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:19, April 26, 2011 (UTC)

The Shouton issue

Hi suki-san. You maybe know about my concerns that Shouton has nothing to do with elements at all. I said there was a scene in the anime where Rinji is exlaining that. And now I finally found it. So, could you please check episode 111 of the Shippuuden anime at minute 6:15 onwards and translate what Rinji's saying? In the German version he says something like "Crystals can only be formed by assembling identical particels in an evenly pattern, right? I can prevent Crystals from being formed by making the air vibrate with my bats." But I never trusted those German idiots, they can't translate the easiest shit. So yould you please translate the Japanese original for me and also write your oppinion about it on my discussion, if you find time to do it? :) Seelentau 愛 09:42, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for answering me on that. If you have the time, could you explain to me how Kana are transcribed in Romaji? When do I have to use capital letters and when not? And where do I have to put spaces in Kana and Romaji? Until now I used the German grammar for such things, but I think there are some differents, right? Seelentau 愛 16:50, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

Jōnin Apartment Buliding

Hey, Suki-senpai, sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you've been this buliding in any of the databooks before. The buliding appeared at 5:29 in this episode, and I've also seen in in the third Naruto movie before, so my curiosity was pique. I was wondering if I could get enough info on it to make a page. It seems this where most of the ninja stays, like Guy-sensei, Kurenai-sensei, and Kakashi-senesei.

Idiom jutsu name

I'm going through the Japanese wikipedia articles hunting for game jutsu names, and I came across a jutsu that seems to be based on an idiomatic expression. It's a technique used by Ino, "忍法四面楚華". From what I could dig up, it's a pun on "四面楚歌". I have no idea how to translate convey the meaning of the idiom into a technique name. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:41, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

All the additions and moving around I made today was done with kanji I got from character pages in their Japanese wikipedia articles. I trust the Japanese to know what they write. I'm trying to find a video or screenshot for Ino's technique to see how the technique looks like. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:54, May 1, 2011 (UTC)

A few questions

1)If Hirunzen was ninja god how came he didn't knew any another sealing jutsu beside minatos dead demon seal? 2)Why kishi created sakura cult of girls in manga and anime (70% of girls are like sakura hot headed ino, sakura, tsunade, kushina etc etc...)? 3)Why naruto chasing sasuke if sasuke is so selfish,I mean sasuke doesn't care about anybody or anything? 4)Did naruto in part two of manga forgot about his dream of becoming a hokage? 5)Why kishi breaking some of his rules(he said no mighty and powerful samurai and no projectiles) I just want to see what you think not some factual things...YamatoTakeru (talk) 12:50, May 2, 2011 (UTC) Man you really study it and bought that kishi manga story. It doesn't have allways to be by rules that someone wrote, also girls like tsunde or whatever their name is are getting on my nerve, and why would someone leave all his friend for idiot who is stupid not to see that his great great grandpa is using him to make him and entire humaity slaves...Naruto manga is at some point very logical but at some point it is very very unlogical.Only reason I read naruto an was watching it on TV is because today you don't have anything better to watch especialy in my country, you could watch sopa opras with stupid girls who are in love in some idiot etc etc and so on with my stupid life and I know this isn't a forum but I don't care as another people don't care about me. And newest popularity pool said it about girls ,,who is more popular in Japan, and naruto is about to end (know that breaking policy and all naruto fans hearts)...YamatoTakeru (talk) 22:11, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

Correct name

Yo Suki-san. Could you please confirm this for me: Since the Kanji are ナルト疾風伝, the correct translation is Naruto Shippuuden. Am I right? Then why are you writing Naruto: Shippuuden? For example here. Seelentau 愛 18:35, May 4, 2011 (UTC)

But isn't the -ナルト- just Furigana? Seelentau 愛 19:20, May 4, 2011 (UTC)
In that case, wouldn't the series translated name be Naruto -Naruto- or so? Also, on the logo it looks like Furigana :/ And another favor for you to do, if you have the time: Many people here in Germany don't know if the RS sealed the Juubi's body INSIDE the moon or sealed the body on the sky, thus making the body ITSELF the moon. Could you translate the part where Madara talked about that, please? Aaaaand another question: Does the term Doujutsu describe the anomalies occurring in the eyes or the Jutsu used with those eyes? Or maybe both? And are the names of the anomalies (Sharingan etc.) describing the Kekkei Genkai itself or the resultant anomalie or again, maybe both? I know those are a lot of questions, but I'm sure you can answer them :) Seelentau 愛 00:06, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I know the doubled Naruto would be stupid^^
As for the Juubi issue: What if both are right? What if the RS formed a Chibaku Tensei and sealed the Juubi's body inside? And afterwards he send the Chibaku Tensei flying, making it the moon. But that wouldn't explain why the moon's still there, since the Chibaku Tensei should crumble when the user is out of chakra or even dead. Also, Nagato's story is just a myth, right? And Madara was right with what he said about the Sennin. Maybe Nagato was just fooled by some folklore.
Can you give a source for the Doujutsu issue? I know that the databooks say so, but I always thought it means they are used with a Doujutsu and aren't Doujutsu themselves. I used the word anomaly because I wanted to avoid the word Doujutsu, since I was asking for that prior to the second question. What I meant was: Is Sharingan the name of the eye only or also the name of the Kekkei Genkai that is creating the anomaly of the human's eye? Another example: Is Youton only the name of the released nature chakra or also the name of the Kekkei Genkai which allows the user to mix fire and earth? Seelentau 愛 01:13, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
But if you use our logic in the Naruto universe, there should've been a moon even before the RS started to live and act. Well, I think this is too full of speculation for being a good topic to discuss, anyways.
They are called Doujutsu in the description, but are listed as Ninjutsu and Kekkei Genkai. Why? They're neither Ninjutsu (for they are Doujutsu) nor Kekkei Genkai (for Sharingan is the KG), but Doujutsu. I'm confused... Seelentau 愛 01:49, May 5, 2011 (UTC)
To sum up: Jutsu used with an eye are 1. Ninjutsu/Genjutsu 2. Doujutsu 3. Kekkei Genkai 4. possible release. The eye itself is 1. Doujutsu and 2. Kekkei Genkai, but its name also describes the underlying genetical anomaly. Am I correct or missing something? Seelentau 愛 11:12, May 5, 2011 (UTC)

Translations

Hi Suki, me again. Could you provide me with a link to your translations of Weekly Shōnen Jump 2 Dai Herobook: Naruto Hiden: Shō no Sho Official Character Databook Mini? I never heard of this Databook before and I'm curious to read it. Also, do you know where I can find scans/translations of Kai no Sho? As always, thank you in advance :) Oh, and another short question, if you don't mind: If the Furigana of a name are written as Katakana (for example カリン), the name itself has no meaning, even if written as Kanji (like 香燐), right? Seelentau 愛 13:36, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

uuuh... I'm a bit confused now. What I was aiming for is: Since the Furigana show the way to read a Kanji and thus giving it a meaning, the Kanji doesn't get any meaning if the Furigana are written as Katakana, since names in Katakana don't have meanings. At least that's what I always thought: Kanji only have a meaning, if the Furigana are Hiragana. I'm obviously wrong with that thought, huh? :/ Seelentau 愛 23:38, May 7, 2011 (UTC)
I think the Earth Release: Sandwich Technique is a good example for explaining the Kana issue, if you have the time, of course. I know you're busy with school stuff atm, so take your time. :) Seelentau 愛 00:38, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
Okay, another example: Gaara is written as ガアラ and 我愛羅. Gaara isn't a foreign name, so how's the issue now? The word Gaara has no meaning, it doesn't even exist in the Japanese language afaik. But the Kanji have a meaning. So why isn't Kishimoto writing the Furigana as Hiragana to show the Kanji's reading and thus their meaning? Why Katakana? Also, why Sando and not Sand, since it comes from Sandwich? And why's the Japanese grammar so f***ing complicated? >.< Seelentau 愛 18:38, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
Too late^^ Everytime I think I understand Japanese, you show me that I'm wrong with what I know :/ You say that you never visited official courses, so how did you gathered that much knowledge?
  1. Okay, Furigana only show the way of reading the Kanji.
  2. But the Japanese way to write sandwich is サンドイッチ and if they would write it in Rōmaji it would be sandwich, right? The transcription of サンドイッチ would be sandoicchi, of course. So why is the abbreviation written as abb. of the transcription and not of the correct name?
  3. I know, but I'm used to the German and English grammar and draw my conclusions from those languages and grammars :/ Seelentau 愛 21:34, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
I'm good with languages too (or at least everyone's saying that), but Japanese is really hard, I think. It's not the Hiragana and Katakana that's hard, but the grammar :/ Why don't you do translations for mangastream etc.? Oh and on another note, do you know how to get rid of the lines on Sakura's hair and Naruto's neck (and basically everywhere) here by any chance? I don't know how they emerge, but they're disturbing and I want to have HQ picture's in my wiki. Or do you know where to download true HQ episodes? Because I use horriblesubs up until now and their 720p episodes have those stripes/lines :/
  1. Okay, but what should the name of the Jutsu/episode etc. be, if the Katakana say something else than the Kanji?
  2. Should we use the transcription (Sandoicchi) or the translation (sandwich)? I used he translation everytime until now, without thinking about if it was correct or not...
  3. How good is your German, then? Verstehst du mich, wenn ich Deutsch schreiben würde? Es ist interessant, mit Nicht-Deutschen in dieser Sprache zu schreiben :D Seelentau 愛 00:14, May 9, 2011 (UTC)
  1. Okay.
  2. An example: I would name the article for episode 183 of the Shippuuden Anime "Naruto Outbreak" and not "Naruto Autobureiku", since Autobureiku would just be the direct transcription of the Katakana and not the right name. It would be like we would write tschair and not chair. Thus I would write Outbreak. The same goes for Jutsu article like Doton: Sand no Jutsu. Sando is just the direct transcription, but Sand is the correct translation. Am I correct with that? FYI: We don't use translated names in the German Narutopedia, only Japanese names and the translation in a box or in brackets ;)
  3. lolwut? I didn't understand a word xD Maybe: I think that you can understand my Netherlandish/Dutch... and what? I dunno, really xD Swedish is easier, I think^^
  4. Also, could you answer my question about the picture/episode issue? :/ Seelentau 愛 15:39, May 9, 2011 (UTC)

That's exactly the way we're dealing with that issue in the Narutopedia. We have Harem no Jutsu as article name, then we have have the Kana in brackets, the Roomaji inside those brackets again in brackets and then the translation. Like this: Harem no Jutsu (ハ一レムの術 ("Haaremu no Jutsu"), "Technik des Harems"). And since it's not wrong, I will use the abbreviation of the English word, when it comes to Sando no Jutsu. But now another question arised, which I may have asked you before, dunno: What are the rules for using āēīōū? Until now, we use only ō and ū, thus writing Mei Terumii and not Mei Terumī and as you can see, Haaremu and not Hāremu. Is that correct? And no problem, I asked Fmakck about the picture issue :) Seelentau 愛 11:43, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

Maybe you're right, but I think it's to late to change that now. It might be not 100% correct, but most of our visitors don't even understand Japanese, so it isn't that bad.
So you do it like this: oo/ou → ō, uu → ū, ii → ii and i~ → ī, right? Are those rules official? Are there even any official rules? Seelentau 愛 13:00, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
Ah, I never minded those systems... maybe I should. That would mean: Rinnegan => Rin'negan, Mein Terumii => Mei Terumī and so on, right? But in the German Wikipedia, it says that aa/uu/ee/oo is written as aa/uu/ee/oo if it's part of an inner word boundary (ii is written as ii everytime) and otherwise as āūēō. What do they mean with that term? They give examples like 小躍り or 食う for that term... Seelentau 愛 15:29, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
Yup, I figured that out^^ So that leaves me with no questions for now, I think. But I have another one, regarding your icons and self-created pictures: To what extend am I allowed to use them in our Narutopedia? I already use the file you created about the elemental natures here, of course with link to the original file and all, but with some minor changes, too. Is it okay for me to use the files you created? Or would you rather don't see them outside this wiki? On the other hand, what do you think about some kind of partnership? But honestly, I dunno how we could support you in any way^^ Seelentau 愛 16:44, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
That's nice to hear, thank you :) And a question popped up in my head again, regarding the Makra again: What about Katakana names? We have no Kanji there, so how should we know if it's ou or ō? Seelentau 愛 17:04, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks again for all your help, I really appreciate it. If you find the time, could you do me and favor and create images for all kinds of Jutsu? I mean Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Hiden, Kekkei Genkai etc. It should just look like the "icons" used in the Sha no Sho, with the Kanji in the middle and all. But Nin, Tai and Genjutsu should be round, as they are in the Sha no Sho, the rest can be square. I hope I don't ask for too much^^ Seelentau 愛 20:24, May 10, 2011 (UTC)

Hinata danger

I have problem, with one of my teory. I will not tell you directly to not cause a bad luck. Let us say Kabuto revived all dead ninjas with his impure world. And let us say that there is a one very evil ninja with no moral valutis without right eye who wanted to harm Hinata in past, and let us say that Hinata's dad killed that ninja, and let us say that Hinata is a really good bait to catch a jinjuriki of I don't kinow maybe a nine tails...Notice Yamato Takeru is very upset when it comes to harming Hinata so be gentle...YamatoTakeru (talk) 15:25, May 8, 2011 (UTC)

What's the problem, you went on soccer trainig, or your cleaning the house.C'mon I don't want to be only ninja who atempted seppuku...Speak to me!!!(yamato takeru is now having a nervious break because his brushes are all fuzzy so he can't paint his miniature soldiers, and because shonensuki didn't answered his question about his teory)...YamatoTakeru (talk) 16:19, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
That's it I'm going to teletubbiespedia...YamatoTakeru (talk) 16:20, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
He was a jeark and evil man who went so low that he tryed to kidnap an innocent 3 years girl from her bed to do her who knows what maybe he tred to replace his lost right eye with one of Hinata's eyes. I was thinking of him because smart people think of their enemys(an enemy of hinata is mine enemy). He was killed by Hiashi sama, and we don't know what his power are because honestly he was trying to escape but what I don't get is if he is Head ninja wasn't he able to run away faster as Kumo spectators did. Second thing kishimoto maybe didn't even wanted him at begining to be from Kumogakure (his flacjacket), he maybe later decidet that. Only whats make logic is he made him kidnapt Hinata as fact that he is a Cloud ninja and cloud stops sun from sending rays on earth so cloud stops sun to create sunny area what Hinata's name mean. Maybe he had some skills like making people sleep because when he took Hinata from her bed she was more than asleep. His right eye was probably kishimots rule for distingwishing good from bad guy because kakashi's covered eye is left and his is right, and his beard maybe should show that he is important to resemble like third who had beard because he is Head ninja. I wonder who is now head ninja. Also if he was powerful I don't think he would let get killED so easy. Probably he was some kid of ambasador or was good only in strategy and in thinking plans, because if he was strong as sanin and kakashi he wouldn't loose from Hiashi who is only good in taijutsu.Anyway I am glad he died and (call me evil) I am only sad he wasn't captured alive and was given to Ibiki to treatman, but he would get out easyly. Also I am sorry that I am not an naruto caracter because I wanted to kill that jerak by my own hands because Hinata's bad life starts with him...

Say hello to granny I have two grannys...And I am OK jut kidding with seppuku I sit here in house out is raining my head hurts my sister and mother went to capitol city. Yesterday was my brothers 18th birthday celebration he is born on same day as Deidara so it was a parachute assault on party by many who don't even kow my brother and me...

He is evil because he was sent to kidnap an vilager with byakugan. Raikage probably didn't told him to kidnap Hinata. He probably figured out that Hinata is smallest and weakest of all Hyuga clan, so he choose her to be his target because it is easy to kidnap little girl rather to take you chance with grown Hyuga member who had full powers. By choosing somone who is unable to defend from him this man has proven that he is coward and weekling, and that he doesn't have any special powers. By failing to escape with his victim he has proven that his ninja skils are too low because he wasn't able to do simple job. His countri provided him covert everything was planed and he could not do simple job. Another thing, I am fanboyish and I like cracters wich I like and I don't care about logic in this manga or any certan rules some first manga writers in japan made about tsunder or anything else. Only thing certan is that Kishimoto folowsAkira Toriyamas rule of making yesterdays vilains into good guys like he did with Picolo in Dragon ball, and he falows it like blind man. Itachi could just say no but Kishimoto must find reason why he slotered his clan(excep sasuke), and Gaara killed who knows how much people just because he was alone and target. But the fact is crime is crime no mather what reason is, and when someone kill, kidanp or torment someone he is a bad person. Kirigakure has byakugan in it posesion and they got it fair by fighting Hyuga clan in battlefield, and they were grown Hyuga probably men...So this man is sunk so low he is doing another peoples dirty job and it is fair I hate him because scums like him are the vorse and his fancy title of second in command afther raikage and head ninja cant change the facts that he was 42 and Hinata was 3 and all he had to do is to pick her up like a book.I am preety sure that as kishimoto critiq about tailde beasts was critique on nuclear veapons that he criticized child abuse trow Hyuga incident...YamatoTakeru (talk) 23:43, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
Cruel both from you and Kishimoto calling her veak. What do you expect from young adolescent girl. Here you aprove one of most discusting man in naruto world and atack one of most positive person in Naruto's life. And Hinata is gentle. She should be treated with respect because of her beauty both physical and mental. She is not like sakura a bodybilder who allways beat up Naruto. Beleve it sakura lost her posision as main girl in manga in japan she is popular right afther Hinata and I am sure that if her wasn't main girl she wouldn't end even on last place. And in world sakura is not even on 10th place look the American good guy pool the first tree most popular taht should be naruto's team with afcourse leader of team 7 in charge. People don't like weard humor they like action adventure and love storys. And I am tired of fake love, why people on internet just wan't let me see with my own eyes will naruto take Hinata as his girldfriend or not. Hinat is real women. An diamond amongs todays ,,nmoderngirls... And yes my miserable life is feed on hope that Naruto and Hinata will marry and live happily ever afther. There I said it ..And she is not weak she is just kind and good person who is too good for that cruel evil world in wich student kills his own teacher... Last word she ( Hinata) liked Naruto before Sakura and that crush resulted in undensputed love wich is ready to risk her own life. Why Sakura dind't helped naruto, you all on Narutopedia and all stupid internet count on that sakura will end up with naruto. Why that sweet violent girl didn't used her violent side to protect boy now man who did everyting to make her happy. Because she doesn't love him, never did and never will. And that weak Hinata in all her weakness risked her life to save someone who always called her wierd. Both Hinata and Naruto are loosers and Sasuke and Sakura are like top in class. So looser with looser girl and top class with top class, and Naruto's dad is calm and quiet and kushina is hyperactive and loud, and naruto is loud and hyperactive and Hinata is quiet...I said what I had in mind and on my hart...YamatoTakeru (talk) 23:56, May 8, 2011 (UTC)
Now I am trolling but not all actions are good when some country are doing it. I have seen the war and lisen about wars in my country all my life. You have heard it about toomb of unknown soldier, so nobody mesure people on their abilitis like strong ninja of whatever. Hinata is weak but it is not women job to go and get kill, women job is to rase children, to teach and another things(little shovinistic), but hinata showed that she is real shinobi. Hirunzen sama said shinobi mesure not by how many jutsu he learned but by the way he is ready to put his life and use that juts to save his friends (or something like that). Also jiraya said that shinobi mesure it self the way he or she dies. Third thing if you have something precious to protect you have to put your life on the line when somebody tretnes that. So Hinata has proven that she is strong by sacreficing her life when it was needed. Without her atacking Pain naruto would never defeted pain. She was the stimulation. And we will discus this no more because there is no end the sizifs work of roling stone up the mountin and it rolls down the mountin...

I am not in the mood right now I had argument with some jeark on my colege. My stupid country is full of pesants who always atacks us normal people from town. He atacked me because he was sitting somewere else and I didn't saw him when the checking list for presents on class was going trow so he forgot to check and he balmed me for not giving him the list like Iam his servant. He atacked me in my own town he the outsider. Hey, I was just wondering if these have any special meaning in Japanese culture? What can Naruto and what he have done for sasuke o.O?

In manga what's the catch with everybody even naruto asking naruto what he has done for sasuke. I mean if somebody doesn't wan't your help, and when somebody is lost case (like sasuke) there is no help. Its not naruto's folt becasuse sasuke's clan was killed. naruto's dad was long dead so nobody couldn't stop it. Sasuke is ruth he doesn't even call kakashi kakashi sensei or orochimaru orochimaru sama... So why is whole naruto world is spining around sasuke a idiot who is so stupid not to see that madara was responsible for uchiha masacr and destroing vilage? Crystal Release

In your advanced nature transformation diagram, you did not include crystal release. This is just a guess, but crystal release may be a combination of wind release and earth release, since we know that earth release was part of crystal release and the only nature left to combine with earth is wind. Dear Shounensuki

Hello Shounensuki, my name is Hohenheim and I am here to offer a proposition... so to speak. In the past, the Naruto Fanon Wiki hasn't given off the best vibe and was surrounded with copy/pasted idea's, images, etc. After months of talk and neglect to the Naruto-verse, Admin on the Naruto Fanon wiki and Bleach Fan Fiction wiki has established another take on the Naruto RP world.

User:Ten Tailed Fox has created the The Naruto RP forums after his trips and editing on the Star Wars RP boards where he found much more organized and steady RP'ing going on. My "proposition" is, in short; Can a Link to these new Naruto RP forum and wiki (located here) be placed on the front page of the "Elder Sibling" wikia to the Naruto-verse? --Hohenheim   Talk to Me ◕ ‿‿ ◕  23:49, May 16, 2011 (UTC)

I see that the first is way more common, so I'm curious on why exactly the first one isn't more common. Is it a narrower term? Would the Release name be 玻遁 (Haton) or 璃遁 (Riton)? Next is power. I know the simplest form is 力 (chikara), but I also found 動力 (dōriki? dōryoku?). I've seen it translated both as power and power transmission. If used in a Release, would it be Rikiton or Ryokuton? And for the one I'm least faithful on, entropy. There is one kanji I found for it (熵), but as far as I can tell, it's not used in Japanese, only in Chinese, much like that kanji I showed you months ago which was the fire and wind kanji together. Is this really the case, or is it used in some cases, like the kanji you gave me for mercury? Thanks in advance. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:17, May 29, 2011 (UTC)

Entropy has to do with the energy and degree of organization in a system. It kinda does relate to chaos, but using chaos would depart too much for my intended combination to work here. I wanted to use something for entropy because the only thing I could find that makes a bit of sense when putting fire, lightning, and water together was the Thermo-dielectric effect. Production of currents and charges (relates to lightning) during phase transition (involves fire as heat, and water which is commonly associated with states of matter). Any ideas on a combo for that? Glass became a reliable option for lightning/earth/wind when I discovered it's not actually crystalline, and power as the physics thing is the best I got for fire/lightning/yin. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:31, May 30, 2011 (UTC)
You mean shiranui (不知火)? I see the connection with fire, and a bit with lightning after digging up a possible explanation of how they happen, but I still don't see much of a water connection. The strongest water connection I see is that it occurs on marshes. There's still more of a connection with wind (the ignited gases), and earth, through the explanation which involves the charges being created from minerals in the soil. Hiruko- Epsiode 20

From a while back we've had an issue with Hiruko's back story in the anime and I all but forgot about it. Anyway, I was wondering if you could watch episode 20 of Shippūden and listen to the part where Chiyo is talking about Hiruko and whether or not she says he's a shinobi from Sunagakure (right at 4:28) because we're have conflicting subtitles one says he's from the village and another just says he's a shinobi.--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 18:27, May 31, 2011 (UTC).

I think Chiyo actually starts talking at 5:28. ~ Fmakck© (Images | contribs) 18:31, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

I know abouth thzat myth Zeus had headache he said his son Hefestos the blacsmith of gods to crack his head and from his toughs came athen the godesss of war.As conserning what I am doing on net I only watch naruto anime and manga...Just next time no internet slleng form me...And I don't think that even children in japan would like it if some naruto caracter had mpreg...Seriously naruto manga is priory for children than for adults, I know there is no law in japan what kids can and what can not watch but male pregnancy I don't think so it is confusing for minors and naruto is first for minors and than for us of 21, 22 years old ad more... Yeah you mean hermaphrodites, coprophiles, japanese wierd octopus sex, sex with animals etc etc...Those are not normal things its pervert things.Nobody normal do that so it is not reality because two of these mentioned things are not real in 90 percent and one is fiction..You said it on purpos aren't you...I should check the rules seeing if there is some rule alowing on wiki that is about manga writing about something that is not manga especialy about paraphilia...And snaff is ilegal because it is killing of inocent womens from third world who was tricked into better life on west and than their torturor make them be killed in front of a camera...One way another the world is turning into Roman empire in witch are paraticed pervert things...I sugest that we delete everithing we wrote because when another narutopedia members see what we had disused they would not see us like before... All your talk reminds me on a Budah joke. Wanna here? What does Budah do when he go to doctor? I don't know I just wanted to pay you for that list of modern world's fetish.By the way I am not naive I just had unlucky to had complications in life wich had broth me my Opsesive compulsive disorder.I know for all those things and they are discusting. And don't rewrite something I deleted from my talking page...I don't think I should be the only one on this wiki on wich page should be discused abouth futanari and sex fetish based on dreem of 15 century fisherman wife from japan..Anyway internet is not my life and I live in country where 90 percent people doesn't know english and don't use computer so I don't meet with the people on the street who talks about futanaris or snaff. We had back home only one movie discusing snaff theme and it was very bad judged...That list is showing in what apocalyptic world we live not because of end of world but for loosing moral valuties.Normal sex was once tabu teme. And one sugestion if you wan't to keep being administrator who is respected don't mention that kind of stuff and don't use fire on fire technique... I my culture doesn't exsist those things because we were slaves for many centurys...You said reality are those things...Well I would just say those things are fiction of leisured rich people like were romans many centurys ago(emperor caligula ripped his pregnant wife stomach and ate his unborn child). When somebody works like an ant he doesn't have need to think of such stupid things...Your right reality is much more worse for exsampel a war in war respected police officer go to do his duty to protect his country from terorists, they capture him break every bone in his body and send him back to his wife and son dead and tell them if they go and be witnes on court they will kill them, and world call those terorists freedom fighter and that police oficer who died he is called a corupted cop.And nobody care how that women feel and her son...Those terorist are just like akatsuki no moral valuties and I respect kishimoto sama because even if his depiction in naruto world is little naive it is more realistic than depiction of the world in some american movies like ,,Legal blonde, but we are moving the subject...So terorism, traison, killing people close to you, unhuman experiments, mercenaris doing dirty work for big players(like in Onokis case), kidnapping, veapons of mass distructions, torturing, spying, everything that was detailed explained in Naruto and kishimoto has given us his critique on this world...Soprry for this long writings but I like writting long because I had read writers like Tolstoi and Victor Hugo and in my nature is to argue with everybody who I find enoug informed and educated. You are one step ahead of me maybe even more I admited but belive me I am not so close behind...We could go like this until judgment day...93.86.166.236 (talk) 10:36, June 2, 2011 (UTC) I really like mental duels, when the swords of opinions are crossed.Look around you have I talked with anybody more than you.Why because you're the administrator the top guy...You have to have something if you made there for such little time.I on another had don't care if I ever mad anywere. For me Naruto is just another unfinished bysness and when the last picture of last manga apeare I will go from here and will not turn my back.I have my own goal why I am reading this manga.Call it some kind of test...By the way I didn't tought you are 27 years old, that mean you're some half of decade older than me...

Sasuke and Naruto distance relatives

Sages two sons were brothers so Uchiha and Senju are realtives and Uzumaki and Senju are relatives...By the way is it not there a dangerous when two relatives married even if they are distance like Harshirama and Mito...Didn't kish wanted to pump sakuras role as bad heroine(wich he had admited but can't do notinh now) with Mito and Kushina... I noticed you translated all the necessary databooks, do you own the actual books or did you just look at the online scanned ones? Because an official source

Matter and Vacuums

Not to bug you anymore on the subject. But I thought up a diagram[1] to better illustrate what I meant by how I pictured Kuushou(how do you type the "u" and/or "o" with the dash over them, anyway? ><)'s formation with a vacuum and pressurized air, since I was failing to describe what I meant with words. Oh..and it made me realize something as I was drawing it up(on MSPaint, no less.. >.<), a vacuum can exist when there's matter in the area, as long as the matter stays in a confined area of said vacuum. Outer Space is proof of that. ^^ --Alexdhamp (talk) 05:23, June 5, 2011 (UTC)

I know that's not how an air compressor works, that was more how I imagined Kuushou working when I first read you're translation of the databook entry. Though, I think it could have something to do with how the anime portrayed the technique's usage..as it showed Neji forming a kind of vacuum in his palm before he "shot" it off at Kisame. Though, your explanation of an air compressor's mechanisms did clarify some things for me(like how it stored that compressed air without it being unpressurized). ^^

And your right about the vacuum being lesser as matter was introduced, even if it was compressed into a small point, the vacuum would still be that much weaker. Space is a vacuum because of how nothing exists between the different planetoid bodies and stars..that same condition could be replicated on Earth given a confined space that a vacuum could be created inside. The difference would be the magnitude; as Space is infinite but that confined vacuum wouldn't be, making a much weaker vacuum, as you said, when matter is introduced. --Alexdhamp (talk) 22:11, June 5, 2011 (UTC)

That sounds about right..and it even helped me understand now what I think Kishi meant. I picture, now, that the force of the palm thrust and the concentrated chakra released would create a vacuum(which goes with how you said Kishi words it in a way the implies the vacuum is created by pressure) pocket that would trail behind the attack as it flies toward it's target. So, when the Kūshō impacts the user's intended victim, the "vacuum shell" or pocket crashes forcefully into him/her immediately afterward. Does this sound about right with what Kishi wrote?--Alexdhamp (talk) 02:01, June 10, 2011 (UTC)
Cool. Thanks for helping me clear my misunderstanding about it and sorry for bugging you so much on said subject. ^^ --Alexdhamp (talk) 02:01, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

On Your Character Particulars

On Tobi's Databook 3 Translation. It says he is 169.4 cm tall and 45.3 kg. Is that an error or does the actual databook itself say that?

Hinata's game(Naruto Accel) ougi

Hey, Shounen. I was wondering if you'd do a quick translation of this ougi(second technique shown) from the Naruto Accel 2 game for me, please? Best I could come up with was "Empty Sky", "Empty Heaven/s", or "Divine Sky". Though, I'm also wondering if the game developers named it with "racing" in mind as I know that's what "kuuten" usually means and the technique seems to bring that idea to mind with how it's presented. >< --Alexdhamp (talk) 01:48, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

Ah. I had thought about the Kaiten connection, but I wasn't sure as the only similarities to me were the "ten"(Heaven/Sky, not the number) kanji and the fact that spinning of both Hinata and the chakra were shown. Thanks for the translation, Shounen. --Alexdhamp (talk) 17:15, June 12, 2011 (UTC)

Kagekubi Shibari

First, I want to thank you for the explanation. Really, I'm utterly grateful that you answer all my questions. If I can return the favor in any way, please let me know :) But again I also have to ask you for something, this time a translation of the Kagekubi Shibari no Jutsu on page 203 of the Tō no Sho. It says something about physical power that is in the shadow. Maybe it could give us a hint about what kind of chakra the Nara clan's using. Thanks in advance :) Seelentau 愛 14:41, June 10, 2011 (UTC)

Also, could you check this video for Kabutos Jutsu? I think the first one is missing an article here. The name's something like チャクラの解剖刀•惨, but 剖 is written as メス and I don't know if the Jutsu's name is Chak(u)ra no Kaibōtō: Zan or Chak(u)ra no Kai Mes(u)tō: Zan. Maybe it would be of help if you (or any other user) could check the uploader's videos for more Jutsu. Seelentau 愛 02:05, June 11, 2011 (UTC)
Aaaaaalso, I suggest you to check my recent contributions, cause I edited some pages etc. and you're perhaps the only one who can confirm those changes (and answer the questions I asked^^). But take your time with it :) Seelentau 愛 20:55, June 11, 2011 (UTC)
  1. So there is no reference to In/Yin and Yō/Yang in that text... hm...
  2. So the techniques name would be Chakra no Mes: Zan?
  3. Because the u in Jouro isn't part of the first Kanji, but in the second, am I correct? Is this case the only one? Or does it occure in other Jutsu names? Seelentau 愛 23:13, June 11, 2011 (UTC)
  1. Ah, okay. I confused myself. So to sum up: Shikamaru (probably) uses Yin-Chakra (which governs form), because the Jutsu text hints that and Shikamaru said that Tayuyas way of fighting mostly with Yin-Chakra resembles his own style. Am I correct?
  2. You don't seem to like the way I'd write the name, huh?^^ Why that? From what I learned, it is the correct way to translate Japanese Kana in our writing system and Chakura etc. is wrong, since it just shows how to pronounce the word.
  3. kk. Thanks again for everything :]
Seelentau 愛 23:46, June 11, 2011 (UTC)
  1. Nope, Yang governs vitality. :)
  2. I do it that way, because otherwise I would write what I speak. And that's wrong, isn't it? You don't write tschair, just because you pronounce chair like that. Also, the Japanese just write Chakura and not Chakra, because they don't have a Kana for k and since they don't pronounce the u, they can use ku instead. Don't get me wrong, I know you've far more experience than me and I greatly respect that, but I think this is the one (and probably only) time I don't like to listen to your knowledge and rather do it my way^^"
Seelentau 愛 00:02, June 12, 2011 (UTC)
  1. Yes. And Tayuyas ghosts are Inton, because they lack the physical energy/Yang, and Shikamarus Jutsu probably too, because the Jutsu text implies that and he said it himself, too.
  2. In my system, Rōmaji shows how the Japanese pronounce a word, Kanji and Kana show how the Japanese write a word, the 'translation' shows our way to write that word and German translates it. Therefor, we use this pattern in our articles: "Translation" (Kanji/Kana Rōmaji, "German"). For example, Harem no Jutsu (ハーレムの術 Hāremu no Jutsu, "Technik des Harems"). We settled on this system because we don't use German translations as article names like you with English, but the Japanese name. Seelentau 愛 01:02, June 12, 2011 (UTC)
  1. That's what I'm thinking, too. In the end, we're just running in circles until we get some official explanation.
  2. That's difficult... I dunno, to be honest, but I think I ignore the origin of the words. So no Chinese and Dutch and all. Seelentau 愛 02:04, June 12, 2011 (UTC)
  1. Yeah, I understand. I should be using 'haram' and not 'harem', right? But why do the Japanese write it as ハーレム and not ハーラム, then? Because they use the English word for it and not the true arabic one, right? I go with that. When they use an English word as a basic, I'll use it too. When they use a Dutch word, I'll use that Dutch word too and not the words those words are based on. Because that way, it would just turn out to be ridiculous and no one would understand what I mean. Kage Uni Shibari?

Yo! Only a little favor this time: Could you tell me what the second Kanji on this image means? The one beneath 影 Kage, please. And also, why are the Jūkenpō Jutsu Kekkei Genkai, but not Dōjutsu? Shouldn't they be Hiden only? Seelentau 愛 19:24, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

  1. Would you translate the Kanji as Demon? Because I saw that it could have the meaning Catcher, which would just fit, wouldn't it?
  2. So the Hyūga have two Kekkei Genkai or what? Oo
Seelentau 愛 20:30, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
  1. wadoku.de (a German translation page I rely on) translated it as Fänger beim Spielen which means Catcher in games (like baseball or so, I guess). And since Shikamaru's catching the enemy...
  2. Well, that's completely new to me ô__o When was that said? I always thought the Byakugan is their Kekkei Genkai, which enables them to learn all the Jūken Jutsu, which are Hiden.
  3. Another issue: Jiraiya mentioned the term 妖魔 Yōma in chapter 143 while talking to Kakashi about Naruto and Kyūbi. It's on page 7, but the translation I read is a bit sluggish, so I dunno if Jiraiya uses the term for all Bijū or for the Demon Fox only. Could you do me the favor to re-read that part and enlighten me, please? :)
Seelentau 愛 21:41, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
  1. But it's still catching, right? And that would fit, at least more than oni. Also, here's a video with that Jutsu, it starts around minute 2:02.
  2. Then why isn't it mentioned here? Or anywhere else besides the manga?
  3. So it's not a term like Chakra no Bakemono at all?

  1. In some languages, yes. English isn't one of them. 'Holland' only refers to two of the twelve provinces of the Netherlands. I live in neither of them.
  2. I actually prefer hearing men talk than hearing women talk. Being homo- or heterosexual has little to do with liking certain aspects of a certain gender or trying them out. It's about sexual and romantic attraction, neither of which I have towards the female gender in any significant way. That doesn't mean I don't 'like' women; most of my friends are female. I just don't want to shag them.
  3. How is being homosexual in any way a problem? At absolutely no point in my life has my homosexuality caused me even the slightest bit of inconvenience. If anything, it is you who seems to be having a problem with it.

Seems if Hinata would be a real girl she would not fall on me...But what the heck there is manny girls out there who like crippled people like me or at least like people who have expensive cars and big apartments and work in good payed pharmacutical company...109.93.59.109 (talk) 17:41, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

We have gone from the subject...One very importan thing abouth Japan and its people. In concious of Japanese is planted idea long ago that they can do everything with will power and keep trying. That was one of their philosophy during WW2. Americans were impresed how Japan is going and pushing trow. When the war ended Japan was at the worse stage any country could be. But today 60 years afther they manged to become secon or third world economy. Why because of their belives. They conquered America with their manga and anime. Every teenager girl and boy who like to think rather to just sit and watch stupid brainwashing cartoons like manga because they reflect the reality, no superheros, no stupid lines and stereotypes from Holiwood etc etc. Just life that is painful and bloody...Nobody gets easy...That will not to give up is very strong in Hinata and Naruto and most of caracters...Life sucks and people needs hope that is what I get from reading this manga...109.93.59.109 (talk) 22:46, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

Then I'll just rephrase it to (anime) and it doesent matter what I said about Naruto I was just using him as an example, think Im stupid I know there are other characters with that hair style.

Ketsui

I noticed that there are quite some chapters with titles as "(character's name) no Ketsui". Even though all of them have the same kanji for ketsui, in some of them, you translated it as "decision" (for Sakura and Tsunade), and for others you translated it as "determination". It doesn't seem to be one of those chapters with furigana that don't match the kanji, because you list the explanation for those. Why is it? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:51, June 15, 2011 (UTC)

Volumes and chapters' names

Should be in every volume and chapter's name in kanji name "!" changed to "!", "..." to "…", "?" to "?" and every "vs" or "VS" to "Bāsasu" (I've noted that in chapter's 497 title you wrote "Bāsesu"). I also changed some mistakes in your translations, maybe you shuld check this.--LeafShinobi (talk) 17:00, June 16, 2011 (UTC) And also, why yuo reverted Fmakck's edit in your translations?--LeafShinobi (talk) 18:08, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

So should change punctuation marks in titles of volumes and chapters for consistency. Anyway, why did you title one of the chapters "Kakashi's EXP" instead of "Kakashis Experience"?--LeafShinobi (talk) 18:35, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

I have aquestion. In your translations in titles you capitalise "Han" in names of teams (for example "Asuma-Han"), but should be it done in teams' articles? Anyway, should the punctuation marks in episodes names be changed like in chapters names (for exapmle "!" to "!")?--LeafShinobi (talk) 15:15, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

Should the title of volume 12 have exclamation marks? Fmakck (Images | contribs) 15:23, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I see 'han', when part of the name of a team, as a proper noun and thus capitalise it. Just like I capitalise every word in 'Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai'. I don't see why it shouldn't be capitalised everywhere. We also capitalise 'team' in team names, don't we?
  2. Yes, for consistency's sake, I believe all instances of '!' and '?' should be changed to '!' and '?'. I don't think it's that big a deal, though, so it doesn't have to have top priority. I'm still trying to figure out how to use a bot for this switch, though.
  3. Volume 12 should have two exclamation marks in its title.

Anyway, you also capitalise in titles "baa", but Should "baa" and "jii" be capitalised in other cases?--LeafShinobi (talk) 16:30, June 18, 2011 (UTC) And about punctuation: ":" or ":"?--LeafShinobi (talk) 21:27, June 18, 2011 (UTC)

Hokage's Residence

I'm kinda confused :s Is it that the image is wrong or the place that we've thought is the "Hokage's Residence" isn't that place?--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 19:55, June 16, 2011 (UTC)

The academy has never had the Kanji of Fire placed on it. So the image should stay. --Ilnarutoanime 20:06, June 16, 2011 (UTC)
Take a look at these two images. Both are from the First Fanbook. The first shows the locations of the Academy and the Hokage residence within Konoha. You can clearly see the label with "Academy" (忍者学校) pointing towards the building with the large pillars and the 'Fire' symbol on it, whereas the label with "Hokage Residence" (火影の家) point to a rather unadorned building with the kanji for 'fire' painted on it.
The second image also shows this. The section about the Academy includes an image of the building with the pillars and the symbol, whereas the small section about the Hokage residence has an image of the unadorned building with the painted kanji. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 20:47, June 16, 2011 (UTC)
Ohhhh ok but that simply means that they used the Acadmy design for the Hokage Residence's design, because i definitely don't remember there ever being a building with the "fire" kanji painted on top orrr that the Hokage's office is in the Academy building? :s. Ah the headache...--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 21:08, June 16, 2011 (UTC)
I'd actually say that the Hokage's office is in the same building as the Academy. After all, it seems that is also where the Jōnin Standby Station and the Mission Assignment Desk are.
So what should we do? --Ilnarutoanime 12:02, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
It's basically sorted. But, Shounen could you give me the page numbers for those two images you uploaded so I can reference them in the article(s) por favor?--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 14:35, June 17, 2011 (UTC)
The map image is from page 21 and the other image from page 22 of the First Fanbook. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 19:46, June 17, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, Suki-senpai. About the Hokage Residence/Ninja Academy switched thing... I was browsing through my Anime Profiles the other night, and I know what the fanbook said about where is the Hokage Residence and Ninja Academy, but the Anime profiles list that the picture of the red mansion, the Hokage Residence, describes it as the "Hokage's House", not the Ninja Academy. Anime profiles count as official releases, too, don't they? So, it makes me think that the picture of the Hokage's House, the red mansion, should be transferred back to its original location. I don't know what to do, with all of these contradictions, so I came to you for a solution. What do you think we should do?--NinjaSheik 18:16, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

Could you perhaps upload an image of that? Just so we can get all the information straight? —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 20:09, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
That would be impossible for me. I don't have scaner or a camera, so I can't upload an image. The best I can do is just put up a reference for the Residence and the Academy. I'm positive the red mansion is the Hokage Residence.--NinjaSheik 20:12, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
Damn... What building exactly do you mean with the "red building"? —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 21:00, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
The Hokage Resdence, the buliding colored red with a kanji sign for "fire" and the pillars on the roof.--NinjaSheik 21:03, June 19, 2011 (UTC)
>< In other words, the building that houses the Academy and such in the manga. Why did the anime have to mess this up? —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 21:23, June 19, 2011 (UTC)

Head ninja of Kumogakure

I think tha Kishimoto didn't intended to make Gashira to be from Kumogakure at begining. First in manga during retrospective of him and in databook he was mentioned as head ninja of cloud country, second his flatjacket doesn't resemble of kumogakure white flat jacket. Now there was the teory that kumogakure maybe changed flatjacket during the time but kushina's kiddnapers and second raikage and both gin kin brothers show that there was no change in kumogakure uniform. Also his forheadprotector is not white color or ribbon. Maybe kishimoto didn't even tought of kumogakure at that poin working on chapter 102. Maybe he just saw how stupid is that konoha was in war with certan cloudcountry adn having fear of war whit them if they are not one of five great nations, and konoha is, and he just corected from cloud country to cloud village of land of lightning...I don't know maybe there was some erors in translation not so sure...Also I doub you're gay because Jadzia Dax is a girl and I am sorry because I know how you felt for what happened to her...YamatoTakeru (talk) 21:04, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

It's pretty obvious that Kishimoto hadn't yet developed the concept of different villages following certain motifs. It's a small error not really worth much notice to be honest. If the Head Shinobi of Kumogakure was that important that this kind of error would make a difference, I'm sure there would be something to note. I assure you, he is from the Land of Lightning's hidden village Kumogakure.--Hohenheim ☯ Talk ☯ 22:10, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Waterfall Basin Technique

I'm going through the Japanese wikipedia list for Naruto jutsu, to see if there's something we can use. I already ran into some useful information. So far, the only thing I didn't change completely based on what I saw was Water Release: Water Sky Convergence (which would also benefit from a look), but the main reason I'm asking this is Yamato's Water Release: Waterfall Basin Technique. In your translations, you used 壺. In the Japanese wikipedia, they used 壷. I see that the kanji are very similar. Was one the first one used in the chapter and the second in the databook entry, or did they make a mistake? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 02:41, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

Hi :) What would you translate 扇舞降ろし as? It should be Fan Dance.... I don't get the Oroshi-part, though. Seelentau 愛 16:50, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

This wiki describes it as Temari summons Kamatari then Kamatari spins with the scythe it hits the opponent into a giant rock and the giant rock slices up in 1 hit then avalanches on the opponent. Also, the German wiki has this and this picture. Plus, I translated it as Fallwind, which means Katabatic wind in English. I hope that's enough for you, cause I couldn't find a video of that Jutsu.^^ Seelentau 愛 00:32, June 27, 2011 (UTC)
Mhkay. But what would the 降 mean on its own? When I use wadoku, I only get words consisting of 降 and another Kanji, like 降灰 or 降参. Also, wouldn't the Jutsu name be Senmai Kōroshi, since the 降 is written as Kō in the former examples? Also, the funny thing is: Whenever I write with you, it becomes clear that my knowledge of Japanese is far worse than I always thought. Found it

So, after a long time, I finally was able to find the kanji for Unparalleled Great Wind Formation. For a long time, I never had an idea of what the "gō" could be, and then I remembered one of the oldest techniques of the series, Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique. I googled the kanji you proposed in the talk page long ago, replacing the one you suggested for this sound for the one in Great Fireball, and there it was. In white against a red background, near the box by Sasuke's knee. I don't think it gets any more official than that. Most results that turned up were in Chinese, but there were some in Japanese as well. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:27, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

And searching the one you suggested turned up way more results, though for a different Naruto game it seems. I'm confused now. Are there two techniques? Did they change names between games? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:42, June 26, 2011 (UTC)

I'm curious as to why you changed your mind in regards to the placement of the Former Land of Whirlpools. What prompted this? It's not a critical issue, but I am curious as to why you decided to make this change. Could you explain your reasoning?

The Japanese names issue... again^^

So, I'm watching the newest Yū Gi Oh! movie right now and every now and then, I see cards with names like Sin Force (a trap-type card). They are written in our alphabet and have the respective Furigana on top. But on the other hand, I see card names like ブラック マジシャン (u surely know this dude). It is obvious that they're using both types of writing for the cards. And it doesn't depend on the type of card (monster, spell, trap etc.), since there was a trap card with the name エレメンタル ミラージュ. So it's just logicaly that there must be some kind of rule. Up to now, I didn't completly understood what you explained to me about that matter, but I think with the given examples, you might be able to hammering it into my head forever... huh?^^ Also, is there a rule about spacing Kana? And why do Japanese capitalize names like DIR EN GREY or NARUTO all the time? Seelentau 愛 12:07, June 28, 2011 (UTC)

  1. So, it isn't wrong at all to write Chakra instead of Chakura? I mean, as far as I understand the matter, there is a difference between using the orignal word (like Black) or the Japanese Katakana equivalent (ブラック). They even make a difference in one and the same title, as they did in Narutimetto Sutōmu GENERATION. They wrote the Storm-part in Katakana and the Generation-part in our alphabet. There has to be a reason for that... Why else would the make a difference? They could write every non-Japanese word in Katakana or in our alphabet... but they don't, just because it looks cool?^^
  2. What I mean is, how do I put spaces in a Japanese sentence. For example 「最強のチャクラを持つ妖魔の一つだからのォ…」. Where do I put the spaces? Do I have to do it at all? Or do I have to use •? Or something completly different?
Seelentau 愛 16:30, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
So, to sum up, it's a complete difference if I write Chakura or Chakra. Chakura is a word for itself and not the Japanese way of writing Chakra, since they lack an Kana for k. Is that correct? As I told you before, I was taught that terms like Chakura are just the wrong way to translate the Katakana. Those are used if the Japanese don't want to use their own word for a term. That is what I thought. Would that mean I've to translate マイト・ガイ from now on as Maito Gai in our articles? And why is your article about Chakra written without an u? Also, how do I know if the nakaguro represents a space or a colon, as they often do in Jutsu names? Seelentau 愛 17:23, June 28, 2011 (UTC)
I understand what you're getting at so far. The problem is, I can't really describe what I mean in English. But I'll try: You say, Chakura is the way チャクラ is pronounced. BUT! The word チャクラ comes from the original term, which would be the word Chakra, right? As マイト comes from the word might and ガイ from the word guy. That is how I thought of this matter all the time I'm into Japanese. You're the first who says it's wrong... so I'm confused :/ And on another issue: How old was Itachi, when he murdered his clan? I know about your list on Itachi's disc. page, but are there sources in the manga? Cause I can't remember anyone stating an age for Itachi at the time he did that crime... Seelentau 愛 11:31, June 29, 2011 (UTC)
Sooo... the word 'rucksack' is a good example, cause the Japanese actually use it. So they saw the word and wanted to use it. But they couldn't write it down, because they got no fitting Kana. Because of that, they used the sound and decided to write it as リュックサック, because that sounded (almost) correct to them. They use it in a manga and we want to write an article about it. But since we can't write those Kana on our PC, we had to translate リュックサック back to the alphabetical form. And that would be 'Ryukkusakku'.
So, Rucksack is the orignal word, リュックサック is the Japanese way to write it and Ryukkusakku is our way to write their way of writing our way. You say it's correct to write it our way of writing it their way. But why not taking two steps back and write it the original way? If I could, I would write it as リュックサック myself, but no normal visitor of the Narutopedia can write that way, so we have to make it easy for them. I understand why you think it's not the best way to write it and maybe the following three years (when I go to school, learning Japanese and doing my Abitur) will change my view of this matter, but for now I'll stick with 'my' way.
btw, the German translators call Might Guy 'Maito Gai' too, but on the other hand, they use 'Chakra' and not 'Chakura'. Also, thank you very much for your time and answers, I know I bug you with this ^^' Seelentau 愛 23:49, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • ドイツ Doitsu would be Duits
  • お転婆 Otenba would be Otenba
  • コラーゲン Korāgen would be Collagen
  • ママ Mama would be Mama
  • Zen would be Zen
  • 一期一会 Ichigo ichie would be Ichigo ichie
  • 美人薄命 Bijin hakumei would be Bijin hakumei
I understand what you want with this test. As it is now, we use Chakra as the article's name and in the Trivia section we say that it comes from the sanskrit word चक्र Chakra. The same would be with every word that isn't Japanese. I stated in the Chakra no Mes article that Mes is Dutch for knive or salpel and I would explain in an article about Zen, that it comes from the sanskrit ध्यान Dhyāna. I understand your problem, but isn't that an acceptable way to solve it? Seelentau 愛 00:53, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
First of all, the rōmaji for 如雨露 is 'jouro', not 'jooro' ^^ Also, お転婆 comes from the Dutch word 'ontembaar' and 美人薄命 is a Chinese term.
What I'm wondering is what you are trying to achieve with this system. Why is this system so important to you that you'd forego the consistency of rōmaji and the understandability of translation? Why would you write 如雨露 as 'jorro', when it's neither the actual Japanese term, nor a word most of your readers would understand? Just because a word is loaned from another language doesn't make it any less a Japanese term. In fact, many loanwords nowadays have meanings that are quite different from the word it was originally loaned from. Using the original word might only cause more confusion than using the rōmaji. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 01:04, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
What I'm trying to achieve, huh? Well, not really that much. It's just that I learned it this way when I started learning Japanese. It's hard for me to accept that my thinking about this the last few years was utterly wrong. Also, it just looks ridiculous sometimes, because it's so obvious where the words come from (like Maito Gai/Might Guy). And yeah, it's Jouro. It's late, I'm tired, so please just ignore that mistake^^' You should be, too. Or don't you live in the Netherlands? We could like... meet, if we wanted to :D I live in North Rhine-Westphalia :] Buuuut anyways, I think in the end you're right. I could go on with my way forever, but would never have a real rule. Dunno, maybe I'll fix this matter in the upcoming weeks or leave it to my successors^^ I just have to write every word as it is written, right? No translation or anything... meh, I guess redirects will do the job here...^^ Thanks again, Suki-dono. If I can repay this in any way, let me know :) Seelentau 愛 01:19, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
Two things came into my mind the time I saved the last text: First, should I really rename everything? Because u know... Ē? Kirābī? The German Manga calls them A and Killer Bee. Should I go with that, even if I know that Killer Bee should be Killer B? But that would be wrong, huh? And the second question is something different: Do Japanese use hyphen? So, do I have to (or should I) write Jikūkan-Ninjutsu or Jikūkan Ninjutsu? Seelentau 愛 01:30, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
I re-checked this and in the Sha no Sho, Maito Gai and Rokku Rī are written as Might Guy and Rock Lee. So, which name should I use? The Katakana name or the... well, our name? And that's with names like Kirābī, who are not confirmed in any Databook? @.@ Seelentau 愛 01:54, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
Hell yeah, it is! But it's fun to learn it :)
So, you use Pain, Rock Lee etc. because that's how they're written in English. But in the German Narutopedia, we use almost none German terms in article names. We have Gokage Kaidan and a redirect from 'Treffen der fünf Kage'. So, what should we do? I mean, in the Japanese Sha no Sho, Might Guy is written as Might Guy, but the Germans write him as Maito Gai. According to you, Might Guy would be the 'supposed to be' and Maito Gai would be correct. But why is he named Might Guy in the original? Wouldn't they be wrong with naming him that way? ô.o
  • I would use the Japanese name and leave the Chinese name to the Trivia
  • Japanese, again.
  • Yeah, I get what you're saying xD I will use the Japanese spelling from now on, everything else is part of the Trivia. In the end, the Japanese language is the only reason I actually work for the German Narutopedia. I learned so much in the last few years and especially now, thanks to you. This will help me in the next years, doing my Abitur and maybe becoming a translator or working in Japan. Actually, I've never been there. Did you? :)
Should it be Tenchikyō or Tenchi-kyō, then? Or Tenchi-Kyō maybe? Seelentau 愛 16:17, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
Actually, we're already discussing that and it seems that we're going to rename terms like Gokage Kaidan, Hi no Kuni etc. to their respective German terms. But we're going to leave the Jutsu as they are, because the German manga doesn't translate them, either. The problem is, Naruto in Germany isn't watched by the ones it is made for, but by little kids. The anime is censored as hell (Itachi din't kill is family, he kidnapped them), blood isn't shown etc. Also, Anime isn't that popular in the TV, it only airs on Sunday mornings atm. Every 'true' Naruto fan watches the Japanese episodes and reads the Japanese Manga, I think. And we don't want to follow the broadcasters by writing it the way little kids can read it. We're a Wiki about Naruto and not that shit the German TV airs.
That said, I still don't know what we should do with character names. We have the Katakana マイト・ガイ, the Rōmaji Maito Gai, the Japanese name Might Guy and the German name Maito Gai. So, which should I choose? According to what you explained, the Japanese name would be correct, since we don't use the German names for characters and Jutsu. Am I right?
Kay, I think I will just use hyphens when it comes to san, kun etc. Seelentau 愛 17:03, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
Buuuut you said that Might Guy would be the 'supposed to be', or am I wrong? Seelentau 愛 22:13, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
The German Manga ignores that... well, I won't. btw, do you perhaps know why Jūgo is written as Jyuugo in the Sha no Sho? Why don't they use makron and write him with an y? Seelentau 愛 23:27, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
That means, it's not wrong, but we know it better or what? Because on the TVTOKYO site about Naruto, Jūgo is written as Jyugo or Jyuugo... oh and whenever there's a ん followed by あ, い, う, え, お or や, ゆ, よ, I've to put a ' after the ん, right? Then what about words with んきゃ, んりゅ or んじょ? Do I have to use the ' there, too? Or only for the basic や, ゆ and よ? Seelentau 愛 20:18, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Oooookay, I think that's all... for now. But don't worry, I'm sure there are still plenty of questions to ask you. Again, thank you very much. I wish you'd be German, you could teach me a lot of things :D Seelentau 愛 20:52, July 1, 2011 (UTC)

Ten-Digit Drilling Bullets

You proposed "Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets" as a translation, am I right? Anyway, can I use reference from your Third Databook translations for Formation of Ten Thousand Snakes to make a trivia about its name?--LeafShinobi (talk) 21:10, June 28, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks.--LeafShinobi (talk) 17:36, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

I used also your answer from my talk page from my first question about Ten-Digit Drilling Bullets (see: User talk:LeafShinobi#Re: Drilling Finger Bullets). I changed however jushi to jūshi. Is that correct?--LeafShinobi (talk) 17:50, June 29, 2011 (UTC) And about Formation of Ten Thousand Snakes: in yuor translations you wrote that the second kanji "bears a strong resemblance" to a kanji for "snake". Isn't it the same kanji?--LeafShinobi (talk) 20:34, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

But a literal name should stay as "Ten-Digit Drilling Bullets"?--LeafShinobi (talk) 10:19, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

Sensing System Tech

I can't remember exatly, but I think you answered this already but anyway, is it possible for you to translate the kanji in the seal here?--Cerez365 Hyūga Symbol 01:08, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Shibi Aburame

So he was called "Gen" in ch. 534, right? Was this changed in the tankobon?--LeafShinobi (talk) 18:38, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Tailed Beast Rasengan

Dis Naruto create a Tailed Beast Rasengan in ch. 519 or did he simply create Rasengan using chakra arms?--LeafShinobi (talk) 18:47, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

So the debut for Tailed Beast Rasengan should be 519 or 520?--LeafShinobi (talk) 10:18, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

Itachi's age

It rather wasn't a long time from the moment Sasuke entered Academy to the Uchiha Clan Massacre, right? So Itachi rather wasn't older than 13 during massacre, was he?--LeafShinobi (talk) 10:58, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

I didn't say I have a trouble with it - I know he for sure wasn't much older. Anyway, thanks.--LeafShinobi (talk) 19:45, June 30, 2011 (UTC)
