Yasha the Night Demon

"Yashamaru's name, 夜叉丸, is composed of three Kanji. The first two, Yasha (夜叉) refer to creatures in Japanese mythology known as "Night Demons" (also known as Yaksha)." - trivia from Yashamaru page.

Could you please tell me about these creatures, the Night Demons? I can't find anything about them. --Kiadony (talk) 11:26, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

Well, you see, there it only says about Yaksha as the spirits of nature, but no mention of 'Night Demons' anywhere. I've Googled it, too. There seem to be nothing specifically describing Yaksha/Yasha in Japanese mythology. --Kiadony (talk) 12:15, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

I am interested in adding User:ShounenSuki/Timeline as a replacement for "Events" in the navigation. How far from being able to be put in the regular namespace is it? SimAnt 20:45, October 15, 2010 (UTC)

Well if others are taking over anyway, might as well move it to the main namespace. I'd advise separating the parts without references to <!-- comments --> at the bottom of the page, for people to add when they get references. would that be okay with you? SimAnt 23:28, October 15, 2010 (UTC)

Hulu is a American site I think? So if you think the 10/10/10 this is stupid I understand. Viz america is also pushing the 10/10/10 aswell as Disney. I think its the 10th year in America thats why their making a big deal of itTwinRisingDragons (talk) 19:37, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

yea ,but test of ninja came out in 2000 ,and America always dose stuff different. Plus it may be that they aired the anime subbed in america in 2000 or their doing naruto's 17th birthday. IDK why all the fuss I just go with the flow. Also what do you think about the list of episodes chosen should their be any mention of this at all? Im talking about the top 20 episodes. Homophone jutsu

First Yamato's Wood Release, now Kurotsuchi's Water Release. Should we take that Kishimoto is making new jutsu with different kanji from exactly the same sound as previous jutsu? If we keep Kurotsuchi's Water Release as a technique of its own, shouldn't we keep Yamato's as well? It does have raw confirmed different kanji. Hey, Suki-senpai, I was wondering if you do me a small favor. But first, I was wondering...How good are you with translation from Japanese to English? I heard you translated almost every Naruto Databook out there, inculding several other things I don't know about.--NinjaSheik 22:37, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

So...Will you help with it? You can read Japanese characters, right? You see...For a long time, I was trying to to find the English translation for these two small doujinshis, but I decided to give up after a while. But recently, I decided to give a shot again, but I still have no luck. So...I was wondering if you can help with this and this. Can you help me, pretty please?

You gotta start at the bottom and them move your way up. You can stop at the colored picture of Orochimaru and Jiraiya for the first one link. I'm only interested in Orochimaru and Anko. I asked another friend of mine of the KH-Wiki to do it, but he never answered me. So, will you help me?--NinjaSheik 22:51, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

Three doujinshis, actually. One doujinshi features Jiraiya and Anko talking about her and Orochimaru. The second one shows Orochimaru and Anko dieing while discussing their past (and I totally went "Aww!" at their expressions), and the third one features Orochimaru and Sasori coming across Anko when she's injured.

And yay! Thank you, senpai!--NinjaSheik 23:02, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

So you were busy! Geez...You could've just told me, instead of making me worried you forgot your promise to me. If you're busy, that's fine. I understand. We all have our own schools and jobs to go to. No biggie. Just let me know when you're done.

Oh yeah, did you get my other message above? I got my hands on the Naruto Offcial Fanbook, so you won't have to translate them anymore. You can ask me for help. But just to be sure, the fanbook has a picture of Kakashi and Naruto on the front, right?--NinjaSheik 21:40, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

It is in English! Believe it! Tee hee hee! It was a lot of fun to read, but man--I had a huge headache when I was finished. Too much reading can be for some people! I got on Sunday, October 31, and I wanted to tell everyone on the wiki about it, but I didn't want to sound conceited. I also didn't know how to tell someone.

But then I remember you do translation, and so I thought, "Hmm...What kind I do for Suki-senpai in return for translating the doujinshis I want?". And then it came to me! I remember you do translation and that's why I came to offer you my assitance, if you want it, of course!

Oh, and thank you, Suki-senpai! Now I can replace the Japanese content with your translation!--NinjaSheik 21:54, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

The Lava vs. Dissolving again...

I know this was basically brought up and settled before, but I've also been forced to rethink some ideas. I also studied Japanese before, and I can read most Japanese versions of manga, but I think you probably know more. I see that it was decided there was basically no difference in meaning between 熔 and 溶 in "lava". Although the Japanese language hs changed over time and many consider the two the same and use 溶 over 熔, I think in more older times, the kanji 溶 meant dissolving, and therefore "chemical melting", while the kanji 熔 meant melting by heat, and therefore "physical melting". Of course, the manga Naruto is being written in this century, and the kanji 溶 has taken both meanings in the present time. When this confusion with Rōshi and Mei happened, I decided to think "Kishi is just going to switch to using 溶 from now on", and that did not seem unusual to me at that point, and I left it at that. However, recently, as many others may have noticed, a third user, Kurotsuchi, appeared and used the Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique, which spread what seems to be alkaline lime powder over an area. When I checked Ohana's post, it was listed as 熔遁, which struck me. What if Kishi was trying to make a difference between the two? Although we have little information on how there is one tailed beast skill user from Iwagakure, one kekkei genkai user from Kirigakure, and one kekkei genkai user from Iwagakure, all using what seems to be the same element, I saw something else. While Rōshi and the Four-Tails were mentioned to use lava, and did so in the anime, and Kurotsuchi used a slightly related substance, lime, I don't remember the Mizukage's element being referred to as lava, and it only had a similar shape to what people imagined as lava. I also remember the name of the technique she used being a pun on "dissolving"(溶解? Yōkai... by the way, please tell me how to undo stuff, it's changed a lot... the page for Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique seems to be blank.). I'm thinking when Kishi used the kanji "溶", he was referring to a word that has that kanji in it, other than lava (probably that "dissolving" I just mentioned), because while the most common word 熔 is used in is "lava", 溶 can be applied to so much more and "lava" is not always the first thing people think of when they see that kanji. Although this may be unrelated, in Korean hanja, it traditionally means "sticky water flowing slowly", while modern language uses it for the same purpose ("dissolving") as in Japanese. I'm also thinking this character (in other languages, too, such as Chinese and Japanese) may have come from this root meaning of "sticky liquid" before it was applied to modern science, and maybe Kishi was aware of that, and applied it to Mei's Yōkai no Jutsu's appearance. However, for me, this is not without my own doubts. If it is indeed a different element, it will mean that it may be Earth+Water instead of Earth+Fire, as the Mizukage has Earth, Water, and Fire. If this happens, Kishi might begin to say things such as Water+Earth is Solvent, while Earth+Wood is Wood, which I would personally dislike. However, as I have not read the raw yet, I have no idea if Ohana made a slight mistake. I also heard rumours of a "Bakuton"... which I wouldn't like, either. Anyway, on the subject, I believe two pages, one for Iwagakure's Lava, (熔遁,熔岩/溶岩), and another one for Kirigakure's Dissolving, (溶遁,溶解), would be a nice idea. I'm not trying to begin a furious debate, only trying to see things from a neutral standpoint until things are cleared up. --GoDai (talk) 02:22, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

I understand. And thanks for reading all that. Right now, I'm just thinking maybe Masashi Kishimoto wants to keep using 溶 in 溶岩, but refer to the element as 熔 if he has to shorten it to one kanji, if you know what I mean. He may be assigning "codenames" just to say one is from Iwagakure, and the other is from Kiri, etc., Even if they don't have a meaning difference, he may be just saying "Since I have to shorten it to one kanji to write x遁, I'll use 熔 or the 溶岩 element, and use 溶 for the 溶解 element, even though I'll still write Lava like 溶岩." Other than that, I guess we'll leave it as Trivia, and the Third Databook is also being quite confusing when it refers to Rōshi's Lava as 溶遁 in his article but again refers to it as 熔遁 in the glossary. But to me, Kishi saying the Iwagakure characters use lava and lime (volcanic substances?) while making a pun on dissolving(溶解) with the Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique is him trying to say the two are different in such a way, and also suggests the Third Databook article problem was a mistake because the two are too similar, even for him. Also, what site on the internet is fastest in releasing raws? I want to read the Japanese version for the Lava confusion as well as the Deidara "Bakuton" rumour. --GoDai (talk) 19:16, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

Haha I see. In the story aspect, I'm assuming some Kekkei Genkai originate from the Tailed Beasts, and one of the previous Jinchūriki of the Four-Tailed Monkey became the first user of the element as well as the person who allowed his offspring to use the same element, and therefore led to Kurotsuchi among other unknown characters. I'm thinking this because of the Ten-Tailed Beast's "Sharin'negan", which some fans assume gave the Sage of the Six Paths his Rinnegan, as well as Gaara's case where the One-Tailed Shukaku's powers cannot be taken away from him. Oh I forgot to ask. Does Ohana's Spoiler say Kurotsuchi is Ōnoki's granddaughter? What if she is some previous Tsuchikage's granddaughter? I can see Ōnoki is seemingly old enough to fit the role, but I'm having a little confusion with her Lava Release "kekkei genkai" and his Dust Release kekkei genkai. Also, even though I wouldn't like it, the Explosion nature, "Bakuton" seems to be quite real, as I can't find a reason to why Ohana would call it an element otherwise. I guess we'll wait for the raw for that one. --GoDai (talk) 19:51, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

Hmmm now I'm starting to think Rōshi is her grandparent... but not sure yet. It may be a family member of a previous Four-Tails Jinchūriki, or it might just turn into a thing where they have some technique to steal other's kekkei genkai... but hope not. I think I'm tired, excuse my nonsense. --GoDai (talk) 01:56, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Oh my god... why would Kishi do this... I hope he's being smart when he's doing this... So, is there a page on this Explosion Release? Do we have confirmation that it is the same as Exploding Clay? Can I add it to Nature Transformation?

Kabuto new Techniques

Due the Kabuto's appearance when he captured Yamato (similar to Orochimaru), do you think he might possess the fushi tensei ?

Re: My Apologies

No need to apologize friend. I just wanted to nip it in the bud real quick before it devolved into a unneeded flame war with crazy Christians and none believers popping out of the wood works yelling at each other. I've seen it many times and many times it makes me wonder why humanity has survived the few million years we have been dominant on this planet.

That being said, I like the idea of Jesus being bodisattva. Who knows, he may have been. Ha ha.--TheUltimate3~The User King~ 01:07, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Explosion Release debacle

If it does turn out to be a nature, wouldn't it be an advanced nature? If so, you'd have to add the little extra pointy corners to the icon. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:03, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Table Problem

Due to Wikia's new style, the table on my Naruto Shippuden Animation Credits page is screwed up since it no longer fits correctly. I just wanted to ask if you have any ideas for a new table format I can use to make it look acceptable again. If you can think of one, just show me an example of the format and I'll apply it to the page.

My idea was to simply remove the Kanji names from the table to make it fit, as I doubt they are actually useful to anyone. But apparently Dantman didn't like that and reverted it back, and now I can't think of another way to fix it.

image of Sasuke when first activating his sharingan

Headline text

Hello, sir/ma'am my name is Marcus, sorry I would state your name/sex but I didnt see you reveal neither one on your profile so please excuse me if i'm being rude. But i wrote you, to ask if u could upload the picture I uploaded of Sasuke Uchiha from the Naruto Shippuden anime when he first activated his sharingan on the Sasuke Uchiha page please. I know your the one who put the current picture on there in the first place, but i'm askin if u cud put mine on there instead because 1. it depicts what the seen looks like (color, appearance), and 2. honestly, i don't know how to haha. But it would be very appreciated sir/ma'am, please respond to my message when u can, thank you.

Dust definition

I realize most consider "塵" as simple dust, and therefore Dust Release to be Earth + Wind. I'm also one of these people, but I was just considering the possiblity of Earth + Lightning, which also makes sense in terms of appearance (Storm, Lightning + Water, was "fluid lightning", so this may be "solid lightning"?). What does this kanji mean exactly nowadays? I think I read in the discussion that a word for "molecule" has this in it (微塵; tiny dust?), but I just want the exact definition, because there are several other kanji for dust, I believe. --GoDai (talk) 23:17, October 25, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah... in terms of effects, the molecular pulverization seems similar to the cellular breakdown effect of Wind Release: Rasenshuriken, but the appearance of the jutsu seem Lightning-based, in a way similar to Storm Release. When Akatsuchi grabbed the Tsuchikage and canceled his "Dust Release: Dust Cone Technique", it "diffused" into the air, making it look like one of those old TVs when they turn off. But since most elemental releases are based on name, it's most likely that it's Earth+Wind, correct? --GoDai (talk) 04:40, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

How do you undo things? I'm seeing some annoying edits made by mistaken users and Wikia contributors. --GoDai (talk) 04:53, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Never mind, figured it out ^^ --GoDai (talk) 05:07, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Sasuke Uchiha

Can you see what is up with the Sasuke article? Under his weapons list there seems to be a repeat of his Sword of Kusanagi. I have attempted to fix it but to no avail. Could you see if you could remedy it? {{SUBST:User:Banan14kab/sig2}} 08:55, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

We have been using "release" for a long time, but what does it mean by that? I believe the most common meaning for this kanji is "flee" or "escape"(Transparent Escape Technique... sound like that of an element), but I have never seen it used in everyday speech, I think. I think I've seen a word which has that kanji in it, and means "disguise" or "tranformation", like that of a ninja, which could be similar in meaning to "henka" in Seishitsu Henka (Nature Transformation). What does it mean by "release"? --GoDai (talk) 23:28, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Besides the above, can you help me translate this: [1]? Here, they seem to list the two Youton as differnt Kekkei Genkai, and list several other differences I cannot clearly make out by myself. --GoDai (talk) 03:13, October 27, 2010 (UTC)

Hmmm I see what you mean with the "Release"s but wouldn't that mean "Style" would be a fair translation as well? I understand what's going on with the Youton, and I'm guessing the difference and similarities of the two are natural to the Japanese, and they most likely don't have to discuss and debate like we do. Also, I remember someone asked something like "What if the creators of Naruto Shippūden 3: Inheritors of the Will of Fire went to Kishi and asked, "What new elemental recopositions are you considering for Naruto?" and he answered "Ranton and Jinton" without writing it down, then the movie creators created Ranton, but created Jinton(迅) instead of Jinton(塵)?" Is this truely possible? Although it is unlikely that they did not ask about the details of each nature, but maybe they didn't really care about what exactly they made, considering the effects of these elements? --GoDai (talk) 01:09, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

I guess so. I was considering the possiblity of "Meiton" and "Kouton" coming from Kishi, but in different kanji: Dark(冥; underworld, gloomy, e.g. 冥王星: Pluto), Light(明;Bright), or Sound(鳴; Cry/Roar/Scream) based for "Mei", and Light(光) or Steel(鋼) based for "Kou", but I guess that's less likely then. I'm considering any kanji related to "雷"(combinations with Wind, Earth, and Fire are unknown), and a combination for 火+風. I'm hypothesizing that a nature has to make sense in "the combination has to make sense in kanji (e.g. Storm is clouds and rain, Water, and Lightning)" and "it also has to make sense in effect/appearance (e.g. Storm shoots electrical beams that "flow like water")." Therefore, I'm going with Earth+Wind for Dust as originally planned (土+雷=塵 makes less sense in general), but I can't seem to come up with "general" terms related to Lightning, besides Magnetism(with Earth), and Light(with Fire?). I'm thinking if I tune my brain like Kishi's, I might be able to think on a different angle ^^ . --GoDai (talk) 07:19, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Hmmm, I'm always thinking that Advanced Nature Transformations are the 2 chakra properties(性質; nature) happening at once, so I'm thinking the "divide your chakra into two and grind it until it becomes thin and sharp as possible" and "increasing the vibration frequencies of your chakra" at the same time for Wind+Lightning. I believe it'll be something like a vibrating, slicing, supersonic wave that can cut through anything (considering Wind and Lightning for Chakra Flow, this combination would be ideal), and maybe a sound-based paralysis similar to the Vibrating Sound Drill and a shock-wave attack much like gust/force-based Wind Release techniques. As for the name, I'm trying to think of something that sounds traditionally or generally is related to Wind and Lighnting. --GoDai (talk) 23:03, October 28, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I would ask to help me in translating this technique:

Preferrable Kanji Help

I have a good imagination of the theorized natures, I just need kanji that are traditionally/generally related to their components (not necesarily by the effects of the natures seen). I'm thinking Kishi is trying to make the natures sound "simplified" or "traditional", in the way that people of ancient Japan (in the time of actual ninjas) would have known of (Therefore, Bright fluid energy became "Storm", Acid/Corrosive vapor/mist became "Boil", and Molecules became "Dust"). But of course, there's the chance that there is no such pattern at all.

  • 光 sems to be related to both 火 and 雷, but it doesnt really seem like something like a combination, but rather "somthing in common". Maybe something that looks like fireworks? Fireworks are like fire, and they split and divide much like lightning.
  • 金, 鋼, 鐵, 磁, and other metal- or magnetism-related kanji could make sense for 土 and 雷 (either refining or magnetism), but I'm trying to think of a name that sounds "traditional". How does "針" for "compass" or "lightning rod" sound? Or does it simply mean "needle"...
  • 蒸氣 sounds related to 火 and 風 in a way similar to the compressed steam engine, given that Fire+Water=Boil already taken. Any other kanji related to both? I am not in favor of a "bigger fire", because that is available via normal techniques, and there would be no Wind characteristic at all.
  • 迅 seems very close to 雷 and 風 as in 迅雷 and 疾風迅雷. However, it doesn't really sound like an element, although Kishi could use it and make it look more like an element, like "fast shockwaves" or something similar. I really can't find another kanji realted to both.

I believe I'm having difficulty because there is a very limited number of Lightning-related kanji due to the fact that the people of ancient Asia did not have much knowledge of lightning. Storm was preferrable because there is lightning in a storm, but I do not see other fair connections, and even Storm was too vague in connection (due to the Wind kanji in it...). --GoDai (talk) 03:41, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

Do you think it is time for a new arc, or is it still in the realm of confining the Jinchuuriki arc? SimAnt 23:12, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Probably would have been better to ask this in the Confining the Jinchūriki Arc talk page, but I would say this is the first chapter of whatever the next arc will be.--TheUltimate3 ~The User King ~ 23:14, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Updated Geography Map

Will you please update the geography map? Page 12 of the new chapter shows a drawing of the world map, and has 4 additional lands on it; rock, mist, hot spring, and valleys, though it seems strange that there is now a Land of Mist, since there is already a Hidden Mist village--SkyFlicker (talk) 22:55, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

chakra nature release

someones probably already mentioned these but this is what i would guess is what happens

dust = wind + earth swift = lightning + wind steel = lightning + earth crystal = kekkei genkai dark = probably a variation of yin/yang release

Also, Kabuto uses the word predecessor (前任者, zenninsha) when talking about the kage he summoned. This word almost always refers to the one's direct predecessor, making it highly unlikely that the unknown kage is not the Second Tsuchikage. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 04:47, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

OK this has been confusing me for awhile. Why do you and a few other users such as LeafShinobi and Omnibender keep reverting my simple edit of "Clan" back to "clan". It's really annoying and seems like you guys are doing it for no reason. It is grammatically correct. They are proper nouns because they mention a specific clan not a general sense of the word. I'm going to change them all back and if I see they are changed again I'm going to take more action. Simant has already agreed with me that he doesn't see the point in these edits. I'm goign to talk to the other users and get to the bottom of this, {{SUBST:User:Banan14kab/sig2}} 19:56, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know how to fix my signature. Also this whole edit war is really pissing me off and you and 2 other users are the only ones who seem to disagree. I've talked to another admin and he really doesn't understand your reverts. Also I am not violating any poilcy and it is correct grammar. I've had enough of this. I'm goign to bring up a forum on this and hopefully this will cause all the grammar of clan in its proper sense to be used. I know the word itself isn't proper and that the names of the clans are, but it is a specific clan. When specifics are mentioned it is capitalized. New York City, the City of Philadelphia, etc. So if you are so skilled in English you should know this. Can we please stop edit warring. {{SUBST:User:Banan14kab/sig2}} 00:29, November 9, 2010 (UTC)
Ok fine I guess your argument makes sense. I guess the war is over. Where do you study out of curiousity? Also can you help me fix my signature?

I don't understand how you want the format of the user input, could you elaborate? I can't put it in the same drop down as the rest. SimAnt 01:57, November 9, 2010 (UTC) Also, what about characters who are jonin/chunin/etc AND ANBU (kakashi)?SimAnt 13:27, November 9, 2010 (UTC)
The point of the link was that I tried to do that change a year ago and it was shot down (and someone else kept trying...). I'm willing to make the change, perhaps you could get Dantman's point of view before preceding since he was the one reverting. SimAnt 19:49, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

It has been done for awhile. SimAnt 19:54, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Hi! Can you please help me?

Hey, how are you??

I'm so so so sorry to bother you, but you see, I only have learned yesterday that the first translation to chap. 510 was messed up. Problem is, I was so used to that translation and had developed so many theories around it, that now I'm left completely confused about it. You see, I've looked for that chapter in onther 3 languages other than English. I've searched that chap. in spanish, portuguese and italian, and those 3 languages had the same problem with diff. trans. So I tried to look it up on the original japanese raw, except that I know absolutely nothing about it, and using online tranlation tools proved pointless and is driving me crazy.

My theory is that since he said on pag.12 that he is the only one that CAN be the second Rikudo, he admits that he, in fact, isnt yet. And well, considering his trademark arrogance, when he said that he is the only one that CAN be, truth is, he doesnt consider anyone else to have that power, or the possibility that not even himself will be able to actually become the second Rikudo. If all he had to do was join his Uchiha powers and the Senju's one, why would he have worked so hard to get Itachi and Sasuke to acheive the full power of the sharingan, and to go on such trouble for the Rinnegan? Plus, we saw what Nagato did to Konoha. Why Madara would ever trust Kabuto for his help, if he is now the most powerful shinobi that can be, as would be if he really is next Rikudo?

So I've found you as a reference to be a great tranlator in one of the forums, so here I am to ask you if will you please help me and say:

Is there ANY CHANCE, even the tiniest one, that this:

「お前は…三人目の六道…」 「うずまき一族末裔の証である赤い髪が白に変色するほど力を…」

could in ANY WAY be translated to:

"You... was the third Rikudô... powerful enough to even have changed the colour of your red hair, the proof of your being a descendent of the Uzumaki clan, into white..."

If you simply add a question mark to the end of that sentence, do you realize the difference that would really make? It would actually imply that the thrid Rikudo, was not Nagato, was the one that defeated him.

And while there's not an actual ??? at the end of that sentence, there is the ..., which could mean he wasn't done talking, but stoped once he realized Nagato was smiling, as you can see here:

I know this could be total crap that I've created inside my head, and I'm ok to be proven wrong, honestly. I really just want to have no room left for doubt at all. Could you please help me?

I'm kind of new to this, and I was trying to contact you, and leave you a message, so I have no idea if it will work, or if you will answer me back. My email is, if you decide to answer me back ok? Sorry again to bother you, but as a Naruto fan, i hope you can understand. =)

--Christina Lavie Hamby (talk) 16:23, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

I know you provided a translation before, but that is why I asked if it was simply possible that the words WAS and WERE could be placed in this sentence under different interpretations. From what i have found, on dictionaries, both words can be translated to the exact same kanjis, so the obvious word would be "You were", because "You... was", is gramatically wrong, but if the word WAS was used referring to a third person, the use would also be correct.

The only living beings that actually known the fist Rikudo, were the Bijuus, when he first created them, so how could you explain the fact that the Kyuubi reconizes/referes to Rikudo, when fighting Naruto?

Plus, the sign on his chest, when he fully takes control of Kyuubi:

Online Dictionaries are not really the most reliable source, but a person with complete understanding of the language, and of the context, is.I've been provided with so many different translations by now that I'm just asking if it is possible. --Christina Lavie Hamby (talk) 19:31, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Earth Release: Tunneling Like Mole Technique

Hey, I think I have a potential new earth jutsu that has been overlooked, but I though I would get your approval first since it will be my first page that I make.

While working on Earth Release: Hiding Like a Mole Technique, I found a tunneling earth release that did not fit: [2]. First, it was a lot larger than the previously shown. I admit that the previous example may merely been an attempt to use less energy, but even then the tunnel seems rather big as it is too low to stand, but has to much space overhead for just crouching. I realize this may be put down as just artistic license, but their is also the Second point, Hiding like a Mole says: "This technique changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole," and here there is no sand.

Does this seem sufficient for a new jutsu? Akatsuchi (talk) 17:18, November 9, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the name and the support. Akatsuchi (talk) 00:38, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you so much for clarifying this for me. I HATE Madara, therefore to me it doesnt make any sense that he would get to be this powerful. You are completely right, Kishimoto would have left something a bit more obvious, or other clues on different ocasions.I guess I was just one of those people desperate to hold on to the possibility of Naruto being the next Rikudo, hehe.

Thank you for your patience and for taking the time to aswer me. =)

P.S.: I just want to make it clear that I wasn't doubting the accuracy of you as a translator before, but like you said, I thought it could be just a possible play on words. That's why I came to you to ask this. I really think you are a great translator.

I did add some information at the article in the past weeks and what I did add is that the edo tensei summons wont be dispersed even by killing the user but I founded out that the information I added was deleted. So if u do not share the same idea as me please check the manga 121 page 2, if u find out that what I'm saying is correct please tell me what to do since it was deleted I mean is there a way that we can write something that can't be deleted. A Few Questions!!

I am a new member here as u see, but I know a lot about naruto and I plan to be a good editor on the site, you seem to be an old member and with good knowledge so I thought to ask you some questions, after reading the policies I got a little bit distracted so please can you answer these questions: 1) Do I have to put personal information on my page? 2) Do I have to talk about every thing I've changed or edit on the site? 3) Can I put the reference on the article so it can be read by any one or do I use this while editing, which I used in the edo tensei, kimimaro articles.

I am having a little bit of trouble with knowing the site because I'm new but I am known for my dedication and my love for perfection and certainly my love to naruto, I know every about the manga but not every thing about the anime since I hate fillers, I thought it was good to say this because I like every thing to be clear. Thank you for your time and effort.Sharingan Itachi (talk) 14:11, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, Suki-senpai, since you've been appearing a lot this week, I want to catch you before you get busy again. Were you able to get the translations back for the other two doujinshis?

I also came to ask you something. You know in most mangas and stuff that they don't always state things like thoughts out of talk bubbles and to the side? Well, when you give me the translations, I'm going to save a copy of the doujinshis' pages and replace them with your translated text. Thing is, I'm not very good at that.

I use Paint to erase and replace it, but that was pain in the butt. So I figured since you seem to know about translation and things, I want to ask you three things; First, what text do most manga use for talkbubbles, Arial or Roman? Two, is there a way for me to replace the Japanese text with the English without ruining the background of a page? Is there an easier way for me to replace Japanest text with the English, besides using Paint?

Do you understand what I'm saying? Sorry if I'm confusing you.--NinjaSheik 23:21, November 11, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Shounensuki, I replied you on the talk page of Ino about her eyes :)

Geography Page

I left another reply on the Geography Page discussion--SkyFlicker (talk) 04:26, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

"Iwagakure, the old village in the Land of Earth, is the Rock. Ishi, the new village in the unnamed country is the Stone. Both are the same kind of material, only stones are smaller than rocks. There is no reason to ever use stone for Iwagakure or rock for Ishigakure and there never has been. Whoever does this is simply being silly." I guess it is just Viz screwing up the translations again then, since Iwagakure's page says "English TV 'Hidden Stone Village'". Wonder how they will correct that once the dubs progress to the current point in the anime, haha. SkyFlicker (talk) 22:09, November 12, 2010 (UTC)

Help with a Diagram for a Theory

I need help with a diagram → [3]. In this diagram, it's similar to the one I asked for help with before, but with Blaze, Dark, Steel, and Swift in the question-marked spaces, and elements like Wood and Boil on the circle instead on straight lines. Then I divided the entire diagram into two parts with a way line like the one in a Yin/Yang diagram placing certain elements on the black and others on the white. I hope the list of instructions is easy to understand. Thanks, appreciate your help! --GoDai (talk) 00:31, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, it's extremely similar, but can you change the Yin-Yang around a bit so that Boil, Ice, and Lava end up in the "head" of the white, and Earth and Steel in the "tail"? Storm should end up on the curved line, but more on the black side, in the "head", with Dust and Ligtning, and Fire, Dark, and Blaze should be in the "tail" of the black.

My theory here has details. It's actually turned out better than I thought, despite my horrible directions. I think if you mirror/flip the Yin-Yang to "spin" in the other direction and turn it around a bit, it would work. (By the way, the idea was to split them up into "Matter" and "Energy", it magically works.) Thanks!--GoDai (talk) 02:20, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

Looks really awesome. No kidding. Thanks! --GoDai (talk) 02:41, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

Hahaha that was actually an idea I had beacause Dust controls molecules, and therefore could be matter, but I decided it was more like "a solid Wind that reduces anything into molecule-sized dust" rather than the dust itself, but you could make 2 different versions, one where the Dust is a Yang element in the spot, and another one where there are no spots on either side, and dust is a Yin element. Thanks for the help! --GoDai (talk) 02:52, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

Hmm although that does take away the "magic", I kinda like this one better because it is much more accurate. I think it's perfect. I'll just note it's a more accurate variation. Thanks! --GoDai (talk) 02:46, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Anko's team

They gave a term for Anko's team, they said it when the alliance got intel from them. It should be good to make a team page. Since they sort of got there by being a team to track Kabuto, would that mean that Sai and Yamato are also members, from way back in the Invasion of Pain? On a sort of related note, why do you think Ranka might not be an Aburame? She used insects (granted, it was different from everything we ever saw an Aburame do), has the standard "look" of an Aburame, and she was along with Shino and Shibi when they fought Konan. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 02:53, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

I totally misunderstood why you thought it might not be Ranka, I didn't consider the fact we might actually have the names switched at the moment. In an unrelated note, can you protect Itachi's page? Someone insists in changing Itachi's last words and because the IP changes with every edit, I can't simply rollback it. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 03:19, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
Ignore to Itachi thing, Simant already did it. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 03:21, November 14, 2010 (UTC)

Itachi's Last Words

Hello, and excuse me, but I really feel that "It ends with this." doesn't make AS much sense as "This is the last time.", because Itachi always said "Maybe next time." Thus, making it more poignant than "It ends with this." And also "This is the last time." is a more accurate translation of "Kore ga saigo da."

Now that the page has been protected, I can't do anything about it. Please, I implore you, is there anything you can do to change it?

First of all, "it ends with this" is a more accurate translation of the Japanese text. Second and last of all, saying "it ends with this" makes as much sense as saying "this is the last time." The Japanese phrases are completely different, why make the English ones more similar? —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 09:55, November 14, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, but I don't understand how "It ends with this" is more accurate. "Saigo" is supposed to mean "last" isn't it? Although I can get that it may also mean "the end". But I don't understand where the "with this" comes from. Also I meant 'making sense' context-wise. "Next time" moving on to "last time" would make more sense than "next time" to "ends with this". Doesn't "last time" sound more consistent? I'm sorry if I sound so persistent, but I just feel strongly about this.
The most literal translation of the Japanese text would be "with this, [it is] the end." converted to proper English, it becomes "it end with this." The "with this" part comes from the これで, which could also be translated as 'here'. The consistency you're trying to force in here simply doesn't exist in Japanese. There is no need to put it in the English. Especially if it means taking liberties with the translation.
This is an encyclopædia, which means we're trying to convey information as accurately as possible. If we were translating for an English release of the manga, I'd agree with you without question, but it's simply not what this site is going for. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 23:04, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you so very much, Suki-senpai! I really owe you one! And remember, if you need any help with your translation or just plain curious about it for the Naruto Offcial Fanbook, just tell me! It'll be my pleasure to help you.

Oh, by the way, do you know where I can edit the doujinshi pages to replace it with the English context? I hate using Paint, but it's the only thing I got.--NinjaSheik 22:36, November 15, 2010 (UTC)

Ch. 460 translations.

A while ago I started a debate on how serious the Lightning Release Armor was, and in the end there was not enough for me to go on. Recently though I got the manga, and wording differed. Darui says: 'Lord Raikage, you're not...!?,' and C says to himself 'He's serious!' This shows great panic on their parts with the jutsu, but the manga has had translating trouble before, and I would say the online stuff is generally more accurate. Could you check that page in the raw? Thomas Finlayson (talk) 02:18, November 20, 2010 (UTC)

Edits that need to be made

Since you seem to edit a lot of the major pages and be such a important contributor, the Summoning:_Triple_Rashōmon page and the Nine-Tailed_Fox_Menacing_Ball page both have links to episode 42 of naruto, not shippuden. I would change the pages myself, but i don't know how.

Sasori's Stats

hi, i read sasoris stats on his page, and he was given, if i recall correctly, a 4 in genjutsu and speed. he has not really shown a lot of either, especially genjutsu, so are you the one who can change that? if not, is there a reason for these stats being put in? like proof of him deserving these scores?—This unsigned comment was made by K1Lla441 (talkcontribs) .

so if the third databook was written by kishimoto himself, and it says that sasori gets, iirc, a 4 in speed and genjutsu, then he really is that dept in that just hasnt shown it much? pretty cool.

Nature Icons

Have you considered changing the Storm icon to a brighter colour, like a lighter yellow? Darui was seen using a bright energy and I think the dark colour seems too... movie-based, and more reminiscent of a literal storm. Also, it doesn't display the kanji so nicely, in my opinion. Also, are you thinking of making a "溶" icon for the possibility of a Dissoultion(溶解; Yōkai) Nature and Dissolution Release (溶遁)? I mean, even if it was still Lava , but a different kind (as you suggested), a different symbol may help. Perhaps you could put both of the icons for "熔" and "溶" on the Lava page for now? Seeing how you prepared an "爆" icon for the Explosion Release case, this would be logical also. --GoDai (talk) 02:40, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Ah well I see that makes sense also. It just sometimes it hard to see the kanji itself, but I guess that's fine then. Kay, thanks! --GoDai (talk) 08:46, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, nice. Thanks! --GoDai (talk) 23:39, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

Rinnegan and Six Paths abilities

I was just thinking, isn't "the Six Paths of Pain" just a term referring to Nagato's reanimated bodies which possessed different portions of his abilities? I'm not quite sure where I saw details on this, but isn't it rather that the Rinnegan allows you to use a brand of techniques known as the "Seven Paths" abilities, and each branch of this series was "imbued" in a way to each reanimated corpse? I think the "Seven Paths abilities" would be portrayed as something like Deva controlling gravity and repulsion, Asura using chakra as a destructive force (like Jūgo), Human using the Soul Removal, Animal focusing around summoning other reanimated animals, Preta using the Blocking Technique Absorption Seal, Naraka summoning and using the King of Hell, and Outer being able to use Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique. So wouldn't mentioning this series of abilities on the Rinnegan page be more effective?

Every time I look at the page for the Outer Path, I feel that there is a mistake, because it is extremely strange that the King of Hell(Naraka), Yama, is being portrayed as the Outer Path. I think someone else displayed better knowledge of the Six Realms of Samsara on the talk page for the Outer Path. --GoDai (talk) 09:15, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I think that each of the bodies had a "Six Paths" ability and the Outer Path was simply not "given" to a body. I think there's some symbolic meaning here, as Nagato "fell onto the Outer Path" when he was angered by Yahiko's death and chose to get revenge, instead of working towards peace in the "Inner Path" of the Six Paths. He synchronized with the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path at that moment, which could signify his fall. I think the fact that the statue is used to seal Tailed Beasts, fragments of the first evil, the Ten-Tailed Beast, is implying that it is to represent an "impure" or "unholy" nature. The Outer Path: Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique probably resurrects those who have died due to the user's actions, as Kakashi my have died through chakra overuse, but that happened due to Nagato's actions. I'm thinking the souls were "wrongfully" taken to hell, or the area the King of Hell leads to, as Nagato is the one who truely could decide what was right and wrong there, and when he changed his mind and view, he decided to release those souls. --GoDai (talk) 01:32, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

You see...In the Naruto Official Fanbook, on page 159, there's a section called "Yamanaka Ino's Flower Fortune". On that page is a list of flowers; 1. Morning Glory; 2. Dandelion; 3. Freesia; 4. Dephne; 5. Sweet Pea; and 6. Chrysanthemum. On the next page, page 160, have the results of your fortune, which tells you more of your personality and who you are most like in Naruto. There's also a chart on that same page that holds the meanings to each flower in the language of flowers. I want to see what your translations say compare to the English copy.

But before we do this...Pick a flower! I want to see your fortune, Suki-senpai! Pretty please with a Naruto cherry on top?

Oh, yeah...I almost forgot. No peaking at your translations (Hint-Hint: Don't choose number 6).--NinjaSheik 00:17, December 8, 2010 (UTC)

Second Fanbook reference

Can you tell me in which page Danzō is referenced as Candidate Sixth Hokage? Wikipedia insists on listing him as a full Hokage, and the only thing I'm missing in the book reference is the page number. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 16:59, December 8, 2010 (UTC)

Hyuga Traitor

I normally read this on mangastream but I different site to read previous chapters. I was going throught the 5 Kage Summit and this caught my eye. I am not sure if it is a mis-translation. The way it reads to me, makes it look like there was a traitor in the hyuga clan, leaking the dojutsu out.

"I had no idea there was another byakugan out there. We should have killed that traitor hyuga sooner"

Danzo said it, Chapter 631, Page 10, cell 5

What do you think to this?

SharinganMike (talk) 12:16, December 9, 2010 (UTC)

He was referring to the Hyuga that Ao killed/defeated. --KiumaruHamachi (talk) 03:25, December 10, 2010 (UTC)KiumaruHamachi
That is what I originally thought. But being killed on active duty for your village shouldn't make them a traitor. And with the words "another byakugan" and traitor - to me - indicated there was a a Hyuga leaking the byakugan out. This is why I want to know if it is a mis-translation. It might sound wierd, but a bit of clarity shouldn't be too much to ask for. SharinganMike (talk) 10:38, December 10, 2010 (UTC)
Sorry for my late reply ^^
"I can't believe a Byakugan was leaked out to somewhere else... If it had been a Hyūga traitor from Konoha, we would have killed them immediately." (「まさか白眼が他に漏れていたとはな...木ノ葉の日向の裏切り者ならすぐに殺していたところだ」)
Danzō isn't saying the Hyūga Ao took his Byakugan from was a traitor. Instead, he's saying that he never expected a Byakugan to end up outside of Konoha, because any possible Hyūga traitors would be killed before they even managed to get away. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 12:18, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

I knew the Hyuga Ao killed was of the main family, but that was it. Thank you for clearing that up. ShounenSuki ftw! SharinganMike (talk) 16:07, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

Use of the Dissolution Icon

Hmmm should we add it to pages such as Mei Terumī, Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique, and Lava Release: Lava Globs in place of the current icon and place both and 熔 and 溶 icons in Lava Release? Like you said, they may be different kinds of Lava Release, one for Yonbi&Kurotsuchi and other for Mei. I think we should have certain icons in character's pages depending on which kanji they used, like how we have different Mangekyō Sharingan icons for each user.

Also, could you change those? I never figured out how to add different icons into infoboxes. Finally, could you help me with linking certain pages? I mentioned it above. Thanks! --GoDai (talk) 03:21, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

I see. Now I'm kinda thinking leaving it might be best until some confirmation comes up. --GoDai (talk) 22:44, December 10, 2010 (UTC)

Translation of kanji to romaji

hi ShounenSuki, my name's Gaara and I work for the German Narutopedia. It's my job to translate Japanese titles and such, but I encountered a problem while doing that. For example if I want to translate 大連隊, would it be Dai Rentai or Dairentai? Or another example: 性質変化 - Seishitsu Henka or Seishitsuhenka? So, what I want to know from you is the rule for translating kanji to romaji, where to put spaces and all. I really hope you can help me on that matter, it's bothering me for a while now^^ -- Gaara 15:18, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

I'll just answer you here, I guess.
Basically, there is no rule for how to space rōmaji. Just do what you feel is most natural. It's been ages since I last had German in school, but I do remember it is similar to Dutch when it comes to stringing words together to form very long words. So taking that into account, Dairentai and Seishitsuhenka would seem more natural. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 18:50, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Potentially Problematic

I read the script for 521 earlier today, and by read I mean either putting it in google translate, trying to make sense of it or seeing translations done by other people. There was a potentially problematic use 秘 in a character's technique. You probably know the one, I've seen some translations by you already. Any idea on why Kishimoto would do that? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:02, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Seen it, though the scanlation I found listed it as "special jutsu". But is it the very same technique? Back then it was written with 晶, and if the spoilers are correct, this time it's written with 昌. I can't help to think this might be yet another case of homophone techniques, as it was with Jukai Kōtan and Mizurappa. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:30, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Why Killer Bee and not Killer B?

Hi ShounenSuki, it's me again. Sorry to bother you for the second time but I have another urgent question to ask. As you can see in the headline, it's a simple question: Why is Killer Bee/Killerbee the correct translation and not Killer B? The Katakana are the ones used for the letter B and not Bee. So why's Bee correct? Seelentau 愛 18:43, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

On a different matter, I just noticed that you missed two hiragana in your translation of the five basic elemental natures. The correct translation of 五大基本性質 is Godai Kihon Seishitsu, I think. Seelentau 愛 21:48, December 16, 2010 (UTC)
'Killer B' is the correct translation if you ask me. The reason we still use 'Killer Bee' on this wiki is because other editors were reluctant to switch and I never really bothered to bring it up again. I must note, however, that we never were given an official translation. That won't come until the next databook, I'm afraid.
The databook uses 五大性質変化 and not 五大基本性質. I can't actually remember ever seeing 五大基本性質 either, but I could be mistaken. Do you have a source? Also, I would have missed two kanji and not two hiragana ^^ —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 22:24, December 16, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, thank you for clarifing that. You've used 五大基本性質 here and no, you just missed to write down the "Sei" of "Seishitsu" in your translation. No kanji/kana missing^^ Seelentau 愛 22:35, December 16, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Thanks for pointing that mistake out to me ^^ —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 22:47, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

Onmyouton and Izanagi

Hi, it's me again. I joined the wiki, as you might see :D So, I was wondering if Onmyouton is an element such as Katon or if it's a mixed element such as Mokuton. If it's a normal element, which sound logic cause Nagato learned it, then what are Inton and Youton? The article states that Onmyouton is the simultan use of Inton and Youton, but wouldn't it be a mixed element? If that's the case, why does it count as a normal element? Oh and if the Izanagi-article is correct, wouldn't Izanagi BE Onmyouton itself, since it was created by using Inton and Youton simultaneously? I know these are kind of stupid questions, but I think it needs more clarification and you're probably the only one who could explain this to me^^ Seelentau 愛 00:48, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, but when the RS used Yin and Yang to create Onmyou and the result was Izanagi as said in the article, it would be just logical that Izanagi = Onmyouton, right? But you're right, it's all still too unknown to make exact statements about that. Seelentau 愛 01:18, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Should the counterbalancing be mentioned in the Nature Transformation page? I think it's interesting that if two techniques of the same Nature hit each other, the stronger one would absorb the weaker. Also, about the Yata Mirror, if a Fire technique hits it, does it become Fire (reflects) or Water (overpowers)? Also, if a non-elemental technique hits it, does it simply "answer" with the best nature? --GoDai (talk) 23:32, December 20, 2010 (UTC)

Few more questions.

  • So if you were to add a section about Counterbalancing, would you just copy and paste the info from the databook?
  • Also, about the "Speculation" part in the Advanced Natures section, was that removed due to it being unnecessary? Can things like Sand and Iron Sand(magnetic nature) be mentioned in the Trivia?
  • "Nature Transformation" means "Property Change," right? So the "Advanced Natures" are simply types of chakra with the properties of two elements, rather than a literal "combination of elements?"
  • Do you think it's likely that there will be more than 10 simultaneous natures? Depending on if "溶遁" and "爆遁" are separate natures or not, there could be 11~13 natures. With 7~9 confirmed canon, and now it seems Kishi has thrown in the kekkei genkai-bearers from the movie, which possibly means 3~4 natures could be added. Maybe which nature is in which hand matters, and there are about 20?
  • Is it ever implied that there may be "Minor natures" that can be used by common people? I mean, Toad Oil Bullet (and Jiraiya's other toad oil techniques) states the user converts their chakra into oil, which is literally changing the nature of the chakra into that of oil (much like what happens in Earth and Water Release techniques), although it's obviously not an Advanced Nature, and it's even ranked. Similarities are also seen in Poison Mist and other techniques which I can't think of where the user spits out their chakra converted into a different form.

Thanks! --GoDai (talk) 03:50, December 21, 2010 (UTC)

Looking for a kanji

Hi Suki-san, I'm looking for a kanji. It's a kanji for the word "concept" (そう, Sou), but it seems pretty rare since I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet. You can see it in the Sha no Sho (I guess you own the Japanese version), it's on page 10. Could you please give it to me? :) Seelentau 愛 13:35, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, that's what I meant, thank you :) The translation isn't mine, it's from a translator of Sha no Sho in the mangahelpers-forum ;) Seelentau 愛 22:20, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Use of Trivia for Speculation

Is it possible to mention presumed component natures or theories in pages such as Blaze Release and Dust Release if they are well-justified? I mean, that could also get people to think twice before they edit Wind into Dust and other things like that. --GoDai (talk) 05:40, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

The 流 kanji

How exactly to tell when it means "flow" and when it means "style", is it the context? I see this kanji is used in at least four Earth Release techniques. Two "Earth Flow" by Yamato, and two by Hiruzen, one of them being anime-only. In episode 192 of Shippūden, a Kumogakure guy uses a technique, the rōmaji (from what I could figure) being "Doton: Doryūha", which in kanji I think would be "土遁・土流波". Crunchyroll subbed it as "Earth Style: Mud Wave". I know "土" can be used to describe mud, but the technique doesn't look like mud at all. Would the translation be "Earth Release: Earth Style Wave" or "Earth Release: Earth Flow Wave", or even something else? The guy later uses something it was subbed as "mud needles", sounding like "retsudo" and then something like denshin/tenshin/teishin. The retsudo I got because it's the same as Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm, but I can't get the rest. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:55, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. I think it's definitely doryū, you can tell the difference between the sounds. Plus, it wouldn't be the first time the anime made a technique with doryū in it. The flow would also be more appropriate, it's similar in looks to Guren's crystal dragon, only not looking like a dragon, plus it also branches from the main earth portion. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:32, December 23, 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry about the article I made, but I wan't planning on making it permanent. Even though the "Eternal" Mangekyō Sharingan is just the Mangekyō Sharingan I wanted to see if I could list it as another kekkei genkai. This was so that characters like Madara and Sasuke could also have it on their list of kekkei genkai in their infoboxes. I guess it was unnecessary. As for the image upload it was so that thier icons would appear with the kekkei genkai when it was listed in their infoboxes. I had to upload it because I could not find the image that was already uploaded in the search. So there is my reasoning. Also I still do not understand your explanation why all kenjutsu is automatically ninjutsu. Does it create some impossible effect like shadow clones or use chakra like Rasengan? Seriously it just requires a sword and skill. I don't see how it is ninjutsu. Sasuke's Chidori Katana is an example of both ninjutsu and kenjutsu used at once. All the other kenjutsu is just tools like you said. So it's not ninjutsu. Samurai use kenjutsu and they are not ninja.

I suggest you look at the response I sent to SnapperTo.

Re: Natures and Stuff

Oh, if you see my theory page User:GoDai/GoDai Seishitsu Henka, Combinations, and Theories and scroll down to "1.6 Pattern Theory," the part about "Opposite Natures" show things similar to what you mentioned. I theorize that since Ice has both the properties of Water and Wind, it would be either:

  • 1. Equally opposed with Fire, as Ice possesses both the strength and weakness of Fire (This works if Fire is only strong against Wind but does not "remove" its presence). This states that "Ice←→Fire."
  • 2. Weak against Fire, as Fire would "eliminate" the Wind property, leaving only the Water nature, which in turn would extinguish the Fire. Simply put, Fire melts the Ice, which in becomes Water turn puts the Fire out (However, this would only work if Fire actually "destroys" or "removes" the Wind property). This idea states that "Ice+Fire=Water."

So in that theory, the related pairs are: Fire and Ice, Wind and (Fire+Lightning), Lightning and Dust(if it is Earth+Wind), Earth and Storm, and Water and Lava.

  • I mentioned in that theory that Haku stated the level of Sasuke's Fire was not enough to melt his Ice.
  • In Lava, I mentioned that Kisame's Water could cool Rōshi's Lava. I also noticed more confirmation when Kurotsuchi used the Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique and the Water Release: Water Trumpet together to form cement(Earth). If my theory is correct, what happened with the chakra is "The Water nature removed the Fire nature in the Lava, leaving only Earth" and simply put, the Water cooled the Lava into Earth, which would then have absorbed the Water.

My current idea is that:

About the Bakuton thing, I have several ideas. I'm guessing Deidara stole the Iwagakure Kinjutsu to infuse his "art" with explosive chakra, and his explosive chakra itself did not originate from the kinjutsu. Therefore, Exploding Clay would actually have two parent jutsu: The "Iwagakure Kinjutsu" and the "Explosion Release". Since Lightning techniques could diffuse his clay bombs, it would be either overpowering and counterbalancing in effect, meaning it must contain either Earth or Lightning as you stated. Unless Sasuke's Lightning disappeared after diffusing them or something, it probably does not contain Wind, which would overpower Lightning. Ignoring the slight possibility of there being more than 10 possible combinations, it would probably be either Earth+Lightning or Lightning+Fire, although the other remaining combinations are also imaginable. There are a few notable examples:

Also, Earth(clay) is the container for Deidara's explosive chakra, and Lightning is powerful against his Exploding Clay. Also, Sasuke noticed Deidara using the Snake seal for his techniques, suggesting they are Earth-related. The Earth itself may be a component of the explosive chakra, or simply a container for it.

One idea I want to throw out is that perhaps Deidara's "kekkei genkai" is mostly unusable due to its explosive nature, endangering the user. Maybe it explodes when released outside of the body, and Deidara had to steal the kinjutsu so he could add his explosive chakra into other objects, creating bombs, and therefore "perfecting his art" by putting the explosive chakra into use. Maybe they are a clan of suicide bombers (?!). --GoDai (talk) 23:13, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

Haha thanks. I just hope not all members of the clan have the kekkei genkai as a dominant gene, just for the survivability XD. I hope the next chapter will actually cover their kekkei genkai, and considering the fact that Pakura and Gari strongly resemble the characters from the 6th movie, Kishi may decide to keep the same names of the kekkei genkai (Dark, Steel, and Swift Releases), but I really hope he will change the effects, as I must admit the abilities they displayed in the movie were... unsatisfying. I would actually like it much better if he decides to use entirely unique abilities, maybe a few not even being advanced natures and instead more like Shikotsumyaku, Satetsu, or Sōma no Kō. --GoDai (talk) 00:02, December 25, 2010 (UTC)

New Icon

I was just wondering..are you going to make a new nature icon for Scorch Release? {{SUBST:User:Banan14kab/sig2}} 10:04, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

More on Natures

So the Chapter #522 came out, and it did two main things for the natures discussion:

  • Confirmed 爆遁 as a kekkei genkai, and displayed how it could utilized other than how Deidara used it.
  • Revealed 燋遁, which seems to be Fire+Wind, seeing the effects and Pakura's hometown, respectively.

Now I'm still wondering about:

  • 炎: This, to me, is Fire+Lightning now. I'm assuming it can be used with normal fire. Also, the spiked shape of Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi may be the burning nature of the fire with the forking nature of lightning.
    • Haku created ice from existing water. I'm guessing if he used black water, it would be black ice. Therefore, Blaze can be used with common fire, but when used with Amaterasu, the flames are black but the technique is the same.
  • 熔/溶: I think the databook with Rōshi's Lava was a mistake. The substance in Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique yet seems more like a gooey/slimy solvent, but still not sure. Also, I have a new theory that advanced natures should contain the "national affinity" of the village (Wood doesn't count, as the Senju were not originally from the Land of Fire, they were descendents of the Sage of the Six Paths, and maybe had a chance to inherit any nature transformation kekkei genkai?). So Dissolution would contain Water.
  • 木&溶 shared combination: It may be just me, but this seems really weird. If 溶 is a separate nature, it would be Water+Earth, which would steal/share Wood's spot. Something tells me either:
    • Wood is something else, as it is related to the control of Tailed Beasts, and reacts to Yang chakra.
    • There are more than 1 combination for each pair of nature transformations, meaning a total 20 natures.

Also, if there are more than 10 possible combinations, I would bring out the left&right hands thing. If that is true, I'll be able to theorize that Earth and Fire could make Lava as well as Explosion, seeing how Explosion Release: Landmine Punch worked. --GoDai (talk) 11:38, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, it's not like I'm certain about Enton. I just thought I had a fairly good idea to build upon. Hopefully Sasuke will show his face and display some more Enton techniques, just to clearly show how it works. Madara probably knows about it, and so we might get one of those "Madara commenting moments" where he describes a technique, like what he did with Torune's venom bugs, Izanagi, and Sasuke's genjutsu.
I actually wish that Kishi never did the 溶/熔 switch. It's creating a problem for my theories. However, if 溶 is a nature, it should contain Earth, as Mei specifically said she had Water, Fire, and Earth, and two kekkei genkai, and Futton is Water+Fire, meaning her other kekkei genkai would have to contain Earth. It would either be Earth+Fire or Water+Earth, but both spots are taken. For me, Wood doesn't belong in its current so much, although Yamato clearly showed us what he does to make Wood. I only theorized Dissolution would have to be Water+Earth due to the radical 水 being in 溶 and the fact that water can dissolve some substances. I think I'll soon have to begin to leave it alone. Maybe letting Kishi show us is the best thing to do here, as I don't have much to build upon here.
And oh, did Lava Release: Melting Apparition Technique really melt anything? It might be just a slimy solvent substance that melts over and hardens to form a wall. I mean, it is Melt Release, but yeah. Seems more like... a weaker dissolution. --GoDai (talk) 02:18, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
Did Kurotsuchi's Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique harden on its own? Or did it require the water technique to harden? Also, the hardened forms were different. Mei's had a rounded, blunt shape with that slimy substance all drippy, but Kurotsuchi's seemed much more jagged, and sharp-looking. --GoDai (talk) 04:17, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, the appearance thing isn't a primary argument for that. However, realistically, I don't think Kishi would give much alternate forms to the Advanced Natures, although very possible.
That Explosion connection was pretty good, although you and I both know "Jirai; 地雷" means "landmine" on its own XP. The kanji connection was good too, but Storm 嵐 confused us before with that one. Although it is likely that it includes Earth due to it being from Iwagakure and Deidara using non-explosive Earth techniques, seeing how Gari used it, no substance sems to be involved, and only energy seems to be used, which confused me with whether Earth is actually in there or not. Either Fire or Lightning must be included, as Manda received extreme burns from taking Deidara's CO. --GoDai (talk) 00:21, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Advanced Nature Transformation Diagrams

They need updating. Perhaps we should entirely remove Crystal? Also, if we're going to put Blaze and Dust in there, we might as well add Explosion and Scorch, as most people seem to have come to an agreement that they are Earth+Lightning and Wind+Fire, respectively. While you're at it, can you replace the Dark on my Yin/Yang diagram with Scorch, and replace the Steel and Swift natures with grey ?-element icons? Thanks! --GoDai (talk) 05:28, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

May I notice that the Crystal-Release isn't an element? It's created by crystalizing things. They said that in the anime. Seelentau 愛 15:37, December 27, 2010 (UTC)
Well the name was intendedly "Shōton(晶遁)," which gives it a status as a chakra nature. Seeing how Crystal Release: Crystal Encampment Wall worked, it's a type of chakra that crystallizes physical matter. So rather than "Crystal," the name "Crystallization" may make it easier to imagine. It doesn't turn chakra into crystals, it turns chakra into a type of energy that crystallizes things. I wouldn't worry about it anyway, since it's anime-only. --GoDai (talk) 23:26, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

Ummm I think I'll leave mine blank for now, as I have yet to decide for myself whether Explosion belongs there or not. --GoDai (talk) 23:29, December 27, 2010 (UTC)

Also, is he saying users of kekkei genkai retain their kekkei genkai abilities even if they were not originally their own? I mean, Kabuto seems to be saying Nagato still has the Rinnegan in that picture. --GoDai (talk) 01:10, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

Matching Icons

I was just looking at the nature icons that you made (quite lovely by the way) and I noticed that the lightning release is the only icon that does not match the official work. The lightning icon you made is a very bright daisy yellow, and the official work (the Raikage hat in his article I guess: ) shows it to be a much darker golden yellow. Do you have plans to quickly change the icon to match the official work like all the other icons do? Dragon Hacker (talk) 19:10, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

--Nintendofan47 (talk) 19:19, December 29, 2010 (UTC) hello. you may have seen my edits on oruchimaru and the 2 headed wolf jutsu. and what im about to ask you might have an obvious answer. rock lee's loopy fist is him fighting drunk right. --Nintendofan47 (talk) 19:25, December 29, 2010 (UTC)ok. another quick question. how many abillities does the renigann possess. the only one i know is that the users can share one sight. and if your the guy who made the kisame page. then i have to thank you. i had always wondered what his sword looked like without the bandages. it was weird.

Release Schedule for WSJ

Hi! :)

Do you know about the release schedule for the weekly shounen jump? As far as I know it's in stores every Monday, but why can we, the German/English/Whatever fans, read it earlier? And how exactly is it on holidays like christmas and such? I thought there was no release last week and was surprised to find out that there was a release. Can you explain that to me please? :3 Seelentau 愛 20:16, December 29, 2010 (UTC)
How do they leak? I heard some guys who work for the WSJ are sending pics of the pre-prints to 2ch, right? And why do we get the chapter for the 3th (4th is thursday) January this early? Usually they leak like a week before, right? Why is that different before holidays? Seelentau 愛 20:35, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

TheUltimate3 Corner

When you have the time, could you make the symbol on the Allied Forces' headband? We're going to need it now. Many thanks.--TheUltimate3 ~The User King ~ 23:08, November 2, 2010 (UTC)

Been a while since I used this huh. Anyway, new chapter came up with two new Releases (yay.../sarcasm), Explosion Release and Scorching Release. I take it these are wrong.--TheUltimate3 ~The User King ~ 09:13, December 26, 2010 (UTC)
As well as new attacks that use them, Scorch Release: Steaming Slaughter, and Explosion Release: Landmine Punch. Again, I take these as wrong, correct?--TheUltimate3 ~The User King ~ 09:17, December 26, 2010 (UTC)
Many thanks and sorry to bother you with it.--TheUltimate3 ~The User King ~ 18:16, December 26, 2010 (UTC)

GoDai Corner

Can I say stuff all on here from now on? I think it may get a little chaotic if I have to create a new section for this (maybe).

So I thought about what natures would be simultaneously used to create Explosion.

  • First of all, I strongly believe that it must contain Earth, due to Lightning being able to diffuse the bombs. Something tells me Sasuke reading the Snake seal means something, too. Also, we often guess an advanced nature includes a certain basic nature when we see the user using that specific basic nature, and in this case, Deidara uses Earth.
  • "Jirai 地雷" contains both 土 and 雷 somewhere in there (However, as you already know, 爆 also includes 火). I believe this term came from something like "Lightning from the ground," as that was what they seemed like to people of older times. To me, Earth+Lightning makes sense symbolically also. --GoDai (talk) 11:25, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, effect-wise, even for me any combination of Fire, Wind, and Lightning would make sense, that is if all options were open. Seeing how Explosion Release: Landmine Fist worked, there clearly was no material-based effects in it, only a release of explosive energy. Although even for me Earth seems to be not so much involved, a few things make it likely for me:

  • It comes from Iwagakure, where Earth is a common affinity. Deidara also had Earth.
  • Sasuke was able to observe and see that Deidara's techniques were somehow Earth-related, through the used seals and their appearance.
  • Lightning was able to diffuse the Explosions.
    • If this was something like counterbalancing and Explosion includes Lightning, it may make sense, although I can't imagine how it would exactly work.

However, as Earth seems to make almost no sense to some, I would theorize the Earth nature affects the things it can cause explosions in. Clay is earth-based, and as Earth Release: Earth Spear and Earth Release: Aggravated Rock Technique showed us, Earth Release can affect things other than earth. It may be the same case with Gari's technique, where he makes the person explode somehow. --GoDai (talk) 22:43, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Fire Daimyo

I think somewhere in manga appear kanji and romaji for "Daimyō of the Land of Fire"?--LeafShinobi (talk) 23:15, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe beginning of chapter 452?--LeafShinobi (talk) 19:20, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
And when Madam Shijimi is called huis wife (Chapter 9)?--LeafShinobi (talk) 16:16, January 1, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks.--LeafShinobi (talk) 16:45, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

Deidara doesn't possess Explosion Release

What he's using is the Kinjutsu from Iwagakure and Detonating Clay. Why would he have a Kekki Genkai when he HATES Kekki Genkai's?--NaruHina fan (talk) 23:59, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Maybe Deidara created his techniques to OUTDO Bakuton? Look, Deidara's techniques could be read by the Sharingan. If they were a Kekki Genkai, they wouldn't be able to. He may have been part of the Blast Corps (Mangastream didn't put that in), but he doesn't have Bakuton.--NaruHina fan (talk) 00:10, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
That could have been an error in the RAW that other translators left out due to what we knew of Deidara's jutsu. We saw Gari's techniques are completely different from Deidara's.--NaruHina fan (talk) 00:18, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe Kishimoto took a picture out of the very first Naruto movie's book-you know with Ice Release users who don't have a Kekki Genkai. --NaruHina fan (talk) 00:24, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
Its also possible that the kinjutsu makes any chakra explosive. Since chakra is energy, its possible that the kinjutsu converts it into an explosive type. --NaruHina fan (talk) 00:28, December 31, 2010 (UTC)
Until we know more on how Deidara's jutsu works, I don't think we should jump the gun and classify him as a Kekki Genkai user. --NaruHina fan (talk) 00:31, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

i kinda think that the exploding clay is earth release, given the fact that sasuke negated the exploding clay bombs with his lightning release and earth is weak against lightning.--Yukikoandthe (talk) 00:43, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

I was thinking the same thing at first, but then I thought that maybe it was the clay that was neutralized and not the Explosion Release that was charged on it. I'm not sure, but it could be slightly different than just making things explode like Gari does. Diamonddeath (talk | contribs) 03:23, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Hey I was wondering. Could you give me a bit of a tutorial and explain how the icons you've created work on the wiki? I know they are SVG files, but I would like to know some more information of how they work so that I could utilize them in articles as well. For example the icon you made for Madara's Mangekyō Sharingan could be in his infobox but there is no way to list it. Also as another example the team icons you have created such as the Sound Four or Twelve Guardian Ninja work in infoboxes even though they do not appear on the page itself. This is also the same with the various nature and land icons as well. {{SUBST:User:Banan14kab/sig2}} 13:44, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

As usual, they look great. Thanks. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:29, March 7, 2011 (UTC)
