How do you add it in to the picture. I have the info required just need to add in. Bttb333 02:13, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Stupid Question is Stupid Question But...

I always thought Suki was a girls name. So Shounen(Boy or something)Suki just seemed odd.'d you come up with it. Again, stupid question i stupid question but eh I'm curious.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 19:34, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

you're not the only one Ultimate! When I first met him, I kept referring him as she, until he told me he was a guy, but yeah I was curious too. AMTNinja (talk) 20:35, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Well, I'll answer here since both of you want to know... When used as a name, Suki generally would be considered a girl's name, but in the case of my username it's not a name at all. It's a Japanese suffix meaning "love(r) of...," "-phil(e)". In other words, my name means something like "lover of boys". I started using this username in 2004 or early 2005, when my old username (JadziaLover) was becoming really outdated. I wanted a username that resembled my old one, but showed off my love for Japan and my coming out. That's how I got to ShounenSuki. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 00:51, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Well there we go. Question answered. Thanks.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 03:31, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Elemental Icons

Hey, I like your Icons for the elemental symbols! I made ones similar to those a while back with Flash 8! So, Are you gonna put these on the articles and if so would you like help? AMTNinja (talk) 23:28, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

I want it to be known as a chakra nature, because it can't always be kekkei genkai. --NejiByakugan360 (talk) 23:53, 5 April 2009 (UTC)Please respond a.s.a.p.

I tried again, it wouldn't work...I don't get it very much...could you do it, please? --NejiByakugan360 (talk) 00:56, 6 April 2009 (UTC)Please Respond A.S.A.P.

Translate the Kirin page

Can you translate this Kirin page and when you finish you tell me on my talkpage? 1. Cooltamerboy (talk) 13:03, 6 April 2009 (UTC).

Can you make it as an image. Cooltamerboy (talk) 13:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC).

Did you translate all of it. Cooltamerboy (talk) 14:21, 7 April 2009 (UTC).

Sorry this took so long.

Hello again, first of how are you, now I've thought about what you have said for I while now and after many days of procrastination and forgetfulness (and much laziness) here I am, anyway you make an excellent debater on a subject such as this and I see that you have understood my point of view and thanks for that you also made a great point about the nature elements but I was right about the Rinnegan though, although to be honest I'd feel like a complete moron if I tried to "win" on this subject. Any way you have earned my full respect and thanks for the challenge, if you ever need some to debate with on a subject you know how to reach me, see ya.--SalmanH (talk) 18:01, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

ShounenSuki please tell me how to upload images without overwriting the previous one.Even if I change the filename,it ends up overwriting the previous ones. Please tell me how i can add a new image(the one on the main profile)without overwriting previous one. Please send me a message regarding this. Thanks

Need Some Help Again

ShounenSuki thanks for your help last time, but i need your help once again,in the fair use rationale, what do i need to mention in the PORTION and PURPOSE section, and is it mandatory to fill in the OTHER INFO.?Thanks again Saiyan16 (talk) 17:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Saiyan16Saiyan16 (talk) 17:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Little Help

I need some help with image uploading.Although i provide all necessary details for fair use rationale, the icon showing no fair rationale still appears. For example, when i uploaded Shikamarus pic with the following details -(tv-screenshot )-it still showed that fair use rationale is missing. Please tell me whats wrong here.Thanks.Saiyan16 (talk) 06:25, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Image question

Uploading a better quality version of the same image is fine. If it's a different image it should be under another filename. You're the perfectionist...

Since you say you're a perfectionist, I thought you might like to know that I found a typo on your page. I don't know just how picky you are, but if you care: In the fourth full paragraph, you accidentally typed "quite" when you meant "quit". You can delete this message once you've read it. Darth Havoc (talk) 23:58, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

I didn't think it mattered who I was. Plus I guess I was kinda embarrassed that I actually bothered to point it out to you, although you found out who I was anyway. Darth Havoc (talk) 01:38, 6 May 2009 (UTC) P.S.: I think I fixed my typos. See^?

By the way, while I'm here, did you read my page? Darth Havoc (talk) 01:40, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Give me a little while and I'll post it on my user page below the original post. Darth Havoc (talk) 03:02, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Ok, it's ready. The logic for the Seven Tails is a bit patchy, but it was difficult to find a better match. Darth Havoc (talk) 03:32, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Japanese Words

I'm sorry if I'm really bothering you with all my questions, but I'm really curious and interested in japanese words and names. What would be the correct pronunciation for the word, "Omocha" (Toy) Would it be pronounced, "Om-cha" or "O-mocha"? AMTNinja (talk) 03:55, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh sorry I guess that would be hard! >.< haha Thanks for the help tho! AMTNinja (talk) 23:21, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Just wondering, what would be the Kanji for "Ninja Art"? AMTNinja (talk) 00:36, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

So sorry! I feel like Im bothhering you too much! >.< Just wanted to know what these kanji literally mean: 空地噴 AMTNinja (talk) 02:22, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Oh ok! And I asked becuz I'm making my own jutsu and I thought it'd be kinda fun to learn a little kanji along the way, I was trying to go for "Air Ground Eruption" In fact, I'll be making a lot of jutsu in the near future, and I could really use help with kanji and romaji! AMTNinja (talk) 22:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Now I'm gonna be stupid and ask

But did the Senjutsu chakra molding really need a svg? I understood why you wanted to replace symbols and the like but...was that really necessary? Do we need these self-made svgs for so many things?--TheUltimate3 (talk) 02:32, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

I won't delete them (not my department) and I know the above question sounded well hostile. My apologize, last week before Finals and well lets just say I'm not 100% prepared for them.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 12:48, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Time to bother ShounenSuki with a question totally irrelevant for this wiki!

Feel free to kick me somewhere instead of answering if you don't want to. You see, I can't find it anywhere on ze Google (no idea what to type in): What are this small signs next to the bigger signs in Japanese text? Hakinu talk | Contributions 22:36, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Editing help

I went to the article Water Release: Grand Waterfall Technique and there are a few things I would like to correct. Most importantly, the name of the jutsu is given three different times and each one is different! This is the kanji given on the page, along with its romanization: (水遁・大瀑布の術, Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu). I don't even know if the romanization is right because I can't read kanji, but could you tell me what the correct translation is so I can correct it? Darth Havoc (talk) 04:01, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks. But now the problem becomes that the title is wrong: it says "grand" where it should be "great". It's close, but is it close enough to be acceptable? And if not, how do I change an article's title? Darth Havoc (talk) 18:54, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks again. But before I accidentally do something to get myself into trouble, do I have to ask permission to move an article or can I just move it? Darth Havoc (talk) 21:09, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: Tailed Beast Speculation

Thanks for the critique; that's the main reason I wanted someone else to read it. But you must have saved it or printed it out or something because Jacce made me take the speculation off my page a few hours after I put it on.

 • I couldn't find anything better for the Four Tails, and I didn't think about it having anything to do with its number. (And besides turtles having nothing to do with three, does the ushi-oni have anything to do with eight?) Although, I admit I didn't delve too deeply into Japanese folklore in my research; I just went to the Wikipedia page about Japanese mythological creatures and sifted through the ones I thought might work.
 • I know the oni is a little off, but as with the basan I couldn't find anything I liked better. It would be easier if we knew what power the Five Tails granted its Jinchuriki. And I don't see how you can tell that much about the Jinchuriki's personality by just one picture; he looks like he could just as easily be ferocious to me. I couldn't figure out the smoking/steaming pot on his back either, but I'm sure it has something to do with it. It may imply some relationship with fire (if it's smoke or ash), water (steam), earth (dust or ash), or air (any of these since they're all airborn), but that doesn't really narrow it down much. I really only picked an oni because of his size and apparent toughness. (For the sake of irony, the Five Tails may actually be something that's generally depicted as being very small and weak. Hehe.)
 • I didn't think about "dragon" being used in so many jutsu names. And maybe you're right about the bubbles, but I don't know of many animals that make bubbles. But as far as I can tell, it's probably going to be some mythological creature because all of the others have been so far (many generic sea monsters in Japanese folklore are based on turtles, for example, hence the Three Tails), so a lobster is unlikely in my opinion - unless lobsters are usually granted supernatural attributes like the fox and raccoon dog.
 • I know the logic for the Seven Tails was far-fetched. I had a hard time finding anything that fit. The Seven Tails was even harder than the Six Tails in my opinion because very little information is given by her appearance. But you had a good point about the "shibi" thing (I missed it because I can only count to five in Japanese). And whoever left the next message after yours (I forgot to check the name) brought up a good point about the shachihoko making it rain. One thing that made me think "shachihoko" was that, right after I read about the shachihoko being half tiger I noticed she was wearing white, so the thought of a Siberian tiger popped into my head. It would make it easier if we knew what the thing on her back is: maybe a large weapon or a giant scroll? Her being female might also be a clue; for example, the ningyo is often equated with the mermaid in Western folklore. Either way, I am strongly inclined to believe the Seven Tails is aquatic in nature (but not marine, since she's from the Village Hidden in the Waterfall).

If you have any other suggestions I'd be happy to hear them, but we should be careful about where we post this stuff. I got in trouble for having it on my user page. Personal talk pages don't seem to be off limits, though.

Re: Obsolete list pages

List of Ninjutsu, List of Taijutsu, and List of Genjutsu already point a reader to the drilldown page. They just aren't redirects cause I can't redirect or soft redirect to a page that needs url parameters. The other (2)'s are old archives. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jun 3, 2009 @ 18:37 (UTC)

Re: Sorting

I'm not completely sure, but the sorting of characters in the drilldown might be possible to be done using a defaultsort on the character page. I think there were some bugs but I don't remember completely. The real issue there is the actual way to handle the sorting. Without resorting to giving every single character a new sort parameter we'd basically have to make the infobox smart about family names. However frankly I don't think that the infobox can handle that properly, there are to many strange names. We have people with no family name known, characters like Rock Lee and Might Guy who technically don't really have a first or last name, and we have things like "One-Tailed Shukaku" and other names which would easily be screwed up by a "smart" sorting mechanism.

As for ranks, that's a different case. The sorting of rank would require me to hop back into PHP and develop an extension for the Narutopedia that would create a new data type for naruto ranks (like the one I wrote for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Wiki). As a bonus would list characters who are Genin, Chunin, Tokubetsu Jonin, and Jonin (> and < in SMW are inclusive). But ranks would become completely hardcoded. And of course I'd have to poke the techs again to install the extension. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jun 15, 2009 @ 05:43 (UTC)

About the revert on Oro's site

... but.. he was present, according to the flashback (although it was anime only). Why reverting it? .... Did I just answer my own question again? ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 23:32, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Well, he was just.. present. Randomly. Apparently, he was in Nawaki's group, and Nawaki was bouncing ahead, straight into an explosion. And then the anime skips to Oro flying (srsly, their jumps are too long to be qualified as jumping) in the treetops to the place where Tsunade tries saving Dan, and Oro watches him die from up there. He didn't even care to jump down. So yeah, I agree, it doesn't really tell anything about the character, other than that he tends to be where it happens. BUT, if anything about this should be in the trivia, it would be the conclusion Oro made from seeing them die; that humans are fragile, and that that's his reason for starting the experiments. ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 23:46, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Myeah, but.. I suppose you don't watch the anime, but maybe you should watch that one? S 114, that is. ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 00:05, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Arc names

Who comes up with these? ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 14:47, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Jumping in to say, I have no idea. But the universal standard for arc naming (i.e. used in all manners of Anine, such as Pokemon and Dragonball) is that the arc is named after whatever is important in that arc. For example, using Dragonball Z, the first arc (called Sagas in that fandom) is called the Saiyan Saga, because it was mostly about the arrival of the Saiyans. The following Saga is the Freeza Saga, due to the main enemy being Freeza, which is then followed by the Android Saga, then the Cell Saga, and finally the Buu Saga.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 14:51, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Huh. So all in all the names are commonly accepted fandom? (Btw, in One Piece episodes/chapters are gathered in arcs, and arcs are gathered in sagas - at least that's what I recall from Wiki) ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 14:56, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
It would seem. Though One Piece is unique because it has like what, 400 episodes? No way can normal tables keep up with that.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 15:28, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
406. It was like that from the very beginning, though. ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 16:03, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Image licenses

Hey ShounenSuki, I've taken advantage of the GFDL 1.3's ability to relicense stuff on the wiki to CC-BY-SA 3.0 to add that license to all the images which were released under the GFDL. That includes some of the images you drew. I hope you don't mind.

I actually also (since I hold the copyright) went through all the images I drew and released under the FAL and added a CC-BY-SA 3.0 license to them as well. Perhaps you might consider doing the same? (Template is and |self| and |user|Username| variants can be used)

I strongly suggest using CC instead of GFDL for any more images, it's probably better than FAL as well. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jun 27, 2009 @ 21:06 (UTC)
