If the image is of higher quality and doesn't violate the Image Policy, all you have to do is go to the image file, for example this one, just scroll down and you'll see something that says "Upload a new version of this file" you can just upload the higher resolution of the image there. Make sure that the file you're uploading has the same extension as the one on here. (.jpg or .png)--Cerez₃₆₅™ 02:26, August 15, 2011 (UTC)
