Revan46, the image 02-03.png which you uploaded has been deleted. We suggest you look over our image policy before you upload another image to make sure you aren't breaking any part of the policy. ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 00:24, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi Dantman, I've been editing many things of Naruto Wiki, however I am curious with the licensing portion. For pictures from the actual chapters that were on One Manga or by SleepyFans, what licensing would I use? I'm unsure which one to choose, if you could let me know I can properly upload the Tsuchikage and Mizukage photos. Revan46 (talk) 06:15, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Images

Revan46, when uploading please give your images proper titles instead of leaving them with poor names like 06-07.png.

As well when you put an image in an article please place the image at the top of the article. If you use |thumb|right| it will float a thumbnail of image to the right of the text, which is the way we want images to be placed. Inserting it dead-center in text is a sign that someone is using WYSIWYG which does NOT actually show you how the page will look. Also note that you can use |upright| in really tall images to fix the thumbnail size. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jul 3, 2009 @ 05:58 (UTC)

At the moment I tried putting them in the stat boxes, however I believe I still need to put them under a license form. I have changed the names to Tsuchikage.png and same with Mizukage, however I think I still need to click on a licensing form.

Re: Unsure about Picture Uploading

There's a real good tangent note answering part of your question in the blockquote at Image policy#Legal tagging. It doesn't matter where you get the image from, the copyright still belongs to the creators of the series.

What you need is a {{Fair use}} license template, and a {{Fair use rationale}} to go with it. Forum:Fair use tagging tips... has some great info for writing your own fair use rationales. I think I'll update Help:Common image pages for you with a new template to make tagging managa images with fair use easier. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jul 3, 2009 @ 06:21 (UTC)

Reuploading an image doesn't change the page text. To add license tags after you've uploaded an image hit the edit button. Take a look at Help:Common image pages now and the example File:Animal path dead.jpg which I converted to use that template. That should make it easy for you to tag the image correctly. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) Jul 3, 2009 @ 06:50 (UTC)
Looks like u got it right with the mizukage pic....Glad to know there r still sum users who actually want to abide by the image policy.....-- AlienGamer--Talk-- 07:49, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Small Hint

Manga images with english text, or anime screen shots with subtitles, or anime dub episode with the cartoon network logo, will always be tagged as poor quality. In a manga image, its generally easier to fix...Just edit it with paint, or any software and remove the text in the bubble..-- AlienGamer--Talk-- 06:53, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Reference

To leave a reference after a statement in an article, place the name of the manga chapter and page, databook or episode or something like that between the ref tags: <ref></ref> after the statement. If the page has a ref list (<references/>) at the bottom of the page, your reference will appear. Jacce | Talk 08:58, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

But in your case, since the reference is coming frm an outside source i.e sum translator @ mangahelpers, it might be best to also discuss it in the article talkpage...--AlienGamer--Talk (contribs)-- 09:04, October 2, 2009 (UTC)

Re:Five Elements Unseal

Because its not the five elements unseal, its just Naruto using the key to unlock it.--Deva 27 (talk) 07:30, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

If it was the five elements unseal it would have had the five element symbols on each of his fingers.--Deva 27 (talk) 07:35, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
