Mangekyō Sharingan

First of all, you're removing summary tags that transclude part of that article to the Sharingan one. Second, according to our in-house translator, whose translations are very good, show that the exalting is about the specific techniques, not the Mangekyō. And according to the entry of Transcription Seal: Amaterasu, also available at the link I gave you, Amaterasu is explicitly called a Fire Release. See talks in Mangekyō Sharingan talk page and Tsukuyomi talk page for reference on that. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 04:12, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

The Tsukuyomi matter is and remains something unresolved, that will probably only be resolved by a databook. At the moment, we're listing it as Tsukuyomi's because we know Sasuke can use it, as it is a requirement to use Susanoo, and because it's unlikely Danzō would compare a simple genjutsu to Tsukuyomi. Danzō is vague enough so what he said can understood in different ways. If you feel like it, you can restart the discussion of this matter in one of the talk pages I mentioned, there's a very lengthy topic about this in one of them. Referring to the dōjutsu and to the techniques that can be used with it are two different things. About Amaterasu, like I said, databook entry explicitly calls it a Fire Release. The one named Blaze Release technique involves shaping of Amaterasu, something Itachi didn't do. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:41, January 29, 2011 (UTC)
If Sasuke isn't as skilled as Itachi was, he would obviously not cause the same effects, nor would he suffer as much of the consequences. More of this is explained at Talk:Tsukuyomi#Clearance: Genjutsu from chapter 478, which is the big discussion I told you about. Sasuke only started to refer to Amaterasu as Blaze Release after he began using shape manipulation, and it was implied that a lot happened off-panel. Blaze Release is still something that is vaguely defined because it differs from previously established mechanics. And the Third Databook is more recent that the Second, and it was in the third that the entry of Transcription Seal: Amaterasu explicitly said that Amaterasu is a Fire Release.
