Re: Yin Seal: Release

The databook doesn't say she developed it. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 09:41, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

(derived from Shadow Sewing, not Shadow Neck Binding)

Ok now Im confused, in the manga and anime Shikamaru trapped Hidan with the Shadow Neck Binding before using the Shadow Endgame right, then after he uses it we can see that the tendrils are made from the shadow created from the Shadow Neck Binding, so how come they are not related? But I also understand that its similar to the Shadow Sewing.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Att. Darkestmoon

Check out the manga chapter 337 Shikamaru's Talent or episodes 86-87, after he fails to decapitate Hidan he captures him with his shadow, he never states that he's using the Shadow Neck Bind but you can see the hand shadow created from that technique.

Fanfiction

I love this websites! Thanks for everyone who helps keep it up. Anyway, Naruto has by far the largest Number of fanfiction out of all anime. It has various genres of fanfiction, plus Many of Naruto fans read and write fanfiction about it. Is is possible to include a page about it just to help people be familiar with the terms common in fanfiction and so on?—This unsigned comment was made by 41.196.78.161 (talkcontribs) .

Nine-Tails Attack - Counter Attack Portion

I made a couple of revisions to the counter-attack portion describing in detail the battle between Minato and Madara. Is there anything wrong with giving details? Chapter 502 of the Manga showed that the attack of Minato was planned, similar to how most characters in the series have used various tactics in their battles. Minato exploited how Madara phased in and out of physical attacks and how he needed to be physically in contact with his target in order to teleport him. That was the split second opening for him to use in what some manga translation referred to as a Flying God Technique Level II but I refrained to using that in my description as there are some contention about the translation and instead mentioned how Minato teleported behind Madara and struck him with his Rasengan.

Also, why is it that my reference to the seal used by Minato on Madara also removed? I only referred to the seal that was used to teleport by Minato to Madara as the Flying God Technique seal and the seal put on him to lose his control of the Nine-Tails as a Contract Seal (as translated in Chapter 503).

Is this entry exclusively managed by a single member? If it is, please mention it.Ghidora (talk) 03:20, August 8, 2010 (UTC)

Tailed beast skills

"A tailed beast skill is a unique ability or trait used by the nine tailed beasts. These traits can vary greatly among the beasts, from nature transformations to concentrated spheres of chakra. The tailed beast's abilities can be transferred to its jinchūriki as a means of self preservation, as if the host dies, the beast dies as well. These abilities can meld with the jinchūriki resulting in the beasts power becoming their own."

You said in your reply that you changed my addition because I described the foxes power but isn't that what the entry is about, the skill of the tailed beast ITSELF, which if it has a jinchuriki it lends to that person. Look at the description and the part I put in bold letters.Ghidora (talk) 04:39, August 8, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Possible trivia

It's possible, but nothing so far actually hints to a relation between the two. In fact, the Four Symbols are usually called the Four Gods (四神, Shijin) in Japanese.

A more likely origin would be the Classic of Changes (JA: Ekikyō, 易経; ZH: Yì Jīng, 易經/易经). This book tells about the Supreme Ultimate (JA: Taikyoku, 太極; ZH: Tàijí, 太極/太极), which gives rise to the Both Rules (JA: Ryōgi, 両儀; ZH: Liǎngyí, 兩儀/两仪), better known as Yin and Yang (JA: In'yō, 陰陽; ZH: Yīnyáng, 陰陽/阴阳). These in turn give rise to the Four Phenomena/Symbols (JA:Shishō, 四象; ZH: Sìxiàng, 四象), which give rise to the Eight Trigrams (JA: Hakke, 八卦; ZH: Bāguà, 八卦).

The way two Four Symbols Seals make up the Eight Trigrams Sealing Style mimics this quite neatly, especially considering the whole Yin-Yang thing with the Nine-Tails. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 19:47, August 11, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Missile or Bullet?

Technically speaking I can be used to refer to any sort of projectile, so both bullet and missile are good translations. However, on its own it is usually used to refer to bullets, so I think that would be a better translation.

I do think it's about time we started getting a bit more consistent with this translation as well. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 09:17, August 20, 2010 (UTC)

Kakashi

Yo~

Then if he doesn't have wind release, why does Naruto have it? All he basically knows is wind jutsu and that's Naruto's Affinity. And many people I have talked to have Agreed with me on the subject that He has ALL 5 elements. Now Rasengan is a wind style jutsu that has been confirmed. Of course Kakashi has all 5 elements if he can use rasengan. Usually when they use a wind based jutsu They Say Ex: "Futon:Hurricane no jutsu!" Now for rasengan it's different. Usually thoughh Whenever someone uses Rasengan they say Rasengan

~Sincerely Zero.

More Questions

Hey Mr. Genius, it's me, curious GoDai here to ask and discuss more questions/theories in the Nature Transformation subject.

I have been thinking for a while about Yin and Yang. So I decided to begin with the Yin-Yang diagram (and maybe we could add one of those to our page to make it look more interesting?) and see how it could relate to being a Nature Transformation. It was explained that chakra is a mixture of spiritual and physical energy, and the diagram shown to describe that is very similar to the Yin-Yang diagram, and I'm certain everyone noticed that as soon as it became available information to them. The only real difference to me seems to be the missing dots of the opposite side (black in white, white in black). Therefore, I guess Masashi Kishimoto is trying to do something like "Yin is spiritual enrgy, and Yang is physical energy" or the other way around.

So, the basic idea I get from that is that the Nature Transformation of Yin and Yang had something to do with adding a small amount of physical energy into the spiritual enrgy, and vice-versa (although I am not too sure about how that will be different from simply mixing it together, yet)

So far, we believe Yin-Yang has something to do with the Shadow Imitation Technique, the Multi-Size Technique, Genjutsu, and Medical Ninjutsu. (Because I am not too sure about the first and how it relates to the others in comparison, I will not be mentioning that one much, but we all know the shadow-bending thing sounds like "Yin".) Other than that, we know that all of the other 3 techinques have something to do with the body and/or the mind. I think I heard that in Japanese culture, Consciousness(識?) is sometimes considered the 6th element, and represents oneself, how he/she relates to the other 5 elements, and what role he/she plays in the flow of nature. Like how Heaven was changed to Lightning and how Earth(地) was changed to Earth(土), my guess is that this Consciousness concept was changed to "Yin and Yang".

Yin and Yang is guessed to have something to do with manipulating the ratios of physical and spiritual enrgy. Although the ratios of spiritual energy and physical enrgy in chakra can be manipulated, the two energies cannot be manipulated completely by themselves (so, 0:1 is not possible, obviously). Like how there is one black dot in the white and how there is one white dot in the black, a "dot" of spiritual energy is required for the manipulation physical energy in the Multi-Size Technique, and vice-versa for a mental jutsu such as Genjutsu. Also, at the smae time, decreasing the amount of the other enrgy used would increase the amount you actually want to use, by ratio.

Since the separate teams of Konoha 11 seem to be divided by specialty, such as sensing or Taijutsu, my guess is that Ino-Shika-Chō (Previous) teams are chosen that way due to their use of Yin-Yang chakra (guessing that the Yamanaka Clan mind justu are of the same kind discussed here, and ignoring the "teamwork" theme established earlier).

I imagine chara in particles, and each average particle being neutral. However, like a normal atom, it is only neutral because it has equal positive and negative parts. Like how electrons can be added and taken away, the ratios of the positive and negative parts can be manipulated, changing the behaviour of the particle. That's how I see it for now. (Also, I remember how in Avatar: The Last Airbender, skilled Firebenders could calm their mind to divide Yin and Yang, which is forcefully dividing two energies that are attracted to each other, then when they come crashing back together, they guide it, which becomes lightning... something like that?)

Ahaha sorry for creating a wall of text again... --GoDai (talk) 02:24, August 23, 2010 (UTC)

Well yes, everyone took a big clue from the Nine-Tails, but there is another clue that people may have missed. The Dead Demon Consuming Seal should have sealed the Yin half of the Nine-Tails' chakra, but the Yang half we know of yet possesses a "power" and a "will", also believed to be Yin and Yang. Maybe it is somewhat like a magnet. When you cut a magnet in half, new poles are created (The "S" end gains a "N" pole at the split, and vice versa). --GoDai (talk) 01:38, August 29, 2010 (UTC)

Does the latest chapter suggest only people such as the Sage of the Six Paths can control both Yin and Yang, but others can manipulate up to one kind, as Yamato implied on Nature Manipulation earlier? --GoDai (talk) 23:36, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Amaterasu and Blaze Release

Hey, it's me, I was brushing up on my theory page, when I thought of a slightly different way of looking at Amaterasu and Blaze Release. (This may not be very appealing, as it supports the Fire+Lightning thing.) Amaterasu is Fire, we definitely know. Even if it isn't Fire Release, it is definitely a kind of fire, as Jiraiya could seal it with Fire Sealing Method. I believe Amaterasu is Fire Release, but not Blaze. In my opinion, Amaterasu alone involves no Lightning whatsoever, but with Blaze, it does. Amaterasu, in a scientific view, is a fire as hot as the sun, and so it is ionized (plasma). Remember, Amaterasu, the technique alone, cannot manipulate the flames. My idea is that while being hotter than any other Fire, its plasma-like ionized composition leaves it possible to be manipulated with Lightning, and therefore utilizing a electrical energy to manipulate an ionized state of Fire - creates Blaze Release.

Oh, by the way, I would really appreciate if you looked over my theory page and leave a few opinions on the discussion page! The page is accessible through my User page now. --GoDai (talk) 00:55, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Sand

Something made me think about Gaara's and the One-Tailed Shukaku's Sand Manipulation abilities. Now that we know the abilities "rubbed off" on Gaara, maybe there should be a page on it. Not saying it's an element or anything, but maybe it chould get an icon or something to group these techniques together.

Oh, by the way, many of these techniques don't have "Tailed Beast Skill". I will assume it's like that for now. Thanks! --GoDai (talk) 06:03, September 4, 2010 (UTC)

Elements in anime

Something is really bugging me, and it's pages like Fangs of Lightning, Plasma Ball, Mudshot Technique, Assimilated Sand Binding Coffin, Grudge Rain, and Great Vacuum Cannon, as well as many others. Being anime-/movie-only techniques, I can't help but question them being treated as Nature Transformation techniques. Would you or anyone you know happen to know how I could make sure?

Also, I haven't found a place where it says Temari's fan jutsu are Wind Release, although I have trust in that one. Was it mentioned in a databook? --GoDai (talk) 05:57, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Well, it may be quite obvious, but I think a weapon granting you control over a certain element is weird (Raiga's Twin Swords and Soaring Short Swords) and an assimilating copy-technique granting you control over an element (Assimilate All Creation Technique... so if you copy water, you can use Water Release ninjutsu?), etc. --GoDai (talk) 06:57, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Dōjutsu

The Six Paths (and the seventh) should be listed as dōjutsu. they were literally called such in the second fanbook. Pain's gravity manipulation techniques might be dōjutsu as well, as they too seem directly linked to the Rinnegan.

The Hyūga taijutsu techniques, however, seem to be a bit more troublesome. They're not specifically linked to the Byakugan, but to the Hyūyga's ability to release chakra from their entire bodies. Then again, maybe we shouldn't think too hard about this and just list them all as dōjutsu for simplicity's sake. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 08:48, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

Good idea. However, I don't know how to change the message. You could try ask on the mainpage talk page. Jacce | Talk | Contributions 06:18, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Yin and Yang

Oh, nice. And someone should start those two pages (Yin Release and Yang Release) then. This chapter finally solved everything about the Yin and Yang thng. So, what you're saying is, Sakura just has forms of both, but cannot use them together to make stuff out of nothing? --GoDai (talk) 23:46, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

Where could I see these scans? They sound more accurate than the ones I saw. So Yin Release, Yang Release, and Yin-Yang Release are all separate natures? --GoDai (talk) 04:06, September 16, 2010 (UTC)

I see... so Inton, Youton, and Onmyouton. That translation finally explained what he meant by "Six Paths" in that chapter. So if I'm right, the Sage, Madara, and Nagato are the First, Second, and Third "Rikudo"'s respectively? Also, I'm still confused about the loss-of-sight thing. Did Madara lose an eye then? --GoDai (talk) 00:55, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

So in your perspective, there are 3 others that he must "absorb" in order to gain enough power to absorb the Ten-Tailed Beast? I thought that too, but is that definitely confirmed? --GoDai (talk) 01:05, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Will the pages for Yin Release, Yang Release, and Yin-Yang Release be created soon? Or is there not enough info on it yet? The Nature Transformation page still seems a little vague on this subject, and it doesn't even mention these natures on the page. --GoDai (talk) 01:24, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Hmmmm In the thing with the "6 paths" discussion, two theories seem to be most prominent.

1. Madara, Hashirama, and Nagato were somehow "paths" and there are 3 others that he must absorb to beocme powerful enough to become the Jinchūriki of the Ten-Tailed Beast.
2. Madara is only calling himself as "the second (Sage) of the Six Paths", and therefore Nagato being the third.

Shounensuki's translation suggests the latter, but which is right? --GoDai (talk) 23:14, September 23, 2010 (UTC)

Izangi or whatever

it can be used if uchiha and senju blood lines are combined, hence danzo, sage and madara. can use it. but how can the uchiha know about it, if they didnt associate with the senju? owh also, just wanting to know your idea on this too. Danzo - went blind using it madara, who has the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, went blind using it do you think the Sage was above the blindness? or do you think it didnt affect him? ahh cool! Didn't think about the same way like Jugo. Orignal, not a "copy". And i see your point about the Senju. Suppose the Kyuubi attack didn't help matter either. Or the Police Force commisioned by the 2nd hokage. :) SharinganMike (talk) 00:04, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Suigetsu Hōzuki

think it should be updated (nto sure where tho) about Suigetsu Hōzuki getting his sword back. In the latest Anime, Karin says he's been gone for 2-3-days and he arrives back with his sword. I would update it myslef but not sure if it is in the 5 Kage Summit arc or the Iruka filler arc one. SharinganMike (talk) 00:20, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Seedling Fern jutsu

The page for the Dance of the Seedling Fern states it is a ninjutsu because it creates bones that grow from the ground, but the strange thing I noticed is that Kimimaro had been buried alived when he used this technique, and I rather imagined him as the "seed" and all these bone spikes branched out from him. --GoDai (talk) 02:58, September 17, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Jiraiya's memorial

The memorial scene was added in chapter 449. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 07:45, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Admins

Please excuse the intrusion, sir, but may have a word or two with you? I wanted to ask someone for a while, but I was wondering...Exactly how many admins do we have here on the Narutopedia? And who are they?

Lately over the past two weeks, I've seen more vandals coming over and disgracing our pages. I want to report to the admins about the vandals immediately, but I don't know who they are. I'm not very close to any of the users here and I don't know who have the position of admins. So, I was wondring if you could tell me, please?--NinjaSheik 17:32, September 18, 2010 (UTC)

Jiraiya

That was exactly what I meant. Thank you.--DanChem (talk) 19:43, September 21, 2010 (UTC)
