Do not change information on a page when you've been told not to by other users. You clearly don't know how this wiki works, so I'll explain it to you. One, databooks trump fan math. Any day, anytime. Secondly, we decide things by consensus. That means, you can get mad, blue in the face, and screaming all over the place, but you're not going to change the information on an article without consent from a majority of the users. Don't do it again. ~ Ten Tailed Fox 05:56, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
- Your modification of Ten Tailed Fox's message is funny because I don't think you're aware it easily applies to you too. I can take your alteration of, "Incorrect information does not matter, as long as it is my preferred interpretation," and in turn alter it to, "Published information does not matter if it contradicts my preferred interpretation."
- Does clearly incorrect information appear in publications all the time? Of course. The difference is that for each example where somebody mistypes the value of pi, there are hundreds, thousands, millions of sources that correctly give the value of pi. This is not the case for Itachi's age, which has only ever been reported in the databooks. So you can scream your head off saying that his age is reported incorrectly, but you have no real evidence beyond your gut's intuition.
- And truthiness is not the policy of this wiki or academia in general. ~SnapperTo 06:26, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
I used logic and truth, not truthiness. There are 3 sources of information in this story, and I find it remarkable that the one that is the least credible, the Databook, is held above the others.
Red herrings and appeals to authority seem to be the only valid form of evidence here. It is sad that an ignoramus such as yourself is involved with such a site. Mysticjbyrd (talk) 17:42, August 16, 2013 (UTC)
Please do not change Itachi's page again. We have been through this time and time again and your theory was shot down. Constantly changing the page will result in a ban. Joshbl56 18:33, August 16, 2013 (UTC)
