What kind of jobs are you talking about? Dantman (Talk) 07:00, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Power to Block

Yes, someone who has Sysop status has the ability to do a number of things read Project:Jonin for what we're calling them here. It's not an odd thing, in fact the use of a block is a very common thing, because everyone can edit a MediaWiki system it means that people can just come along and vandalize pages, and sometimes users repeatedly come back to ruin the content in the wiki over and over so when someone repeats those actions a block is issued so they can no longer harm the site. I usualy go on a basis of 4 warnings, but I give higher increments based on level of vandalism. On that user I found 1 case of vandalism meaning it was a possible test, I bumped it up to 2 because I found another page which means it was obvious vandalism and not a test, and then I found a page in which large sections were vandalized which waranted 2 levels up, making 4, which is the last level of warning I use before a block. Blocking unruly users, deleting pages taged for deletion or deleting spam, protecting and unprotecting pages when needed, halting edit wars, creating rules based on community opinions and results of bad actions, are just a few of the tasks an administrator has to take on. In some cases, a good administrator is just what a wiki needs to turn from a onorganized mess with bad standards into a nice clean wiki with good full documentation. You should have seen The Gaiapedia back in August of 2006, the wiki was an absolute mess, now it managed to get a place up in the Wikia Spotlight in the last set. Erm, LoneWolf 5. AnimeBot isn't a user. AnimeBot is one of the users my bot framework works on. User:AnimeBotSys is the same. And you mixes up, edit talk pages. That alerts the user. Dantman (Talk) 22:26, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

Problem with names

I just used what was already there. I only combined what was on the taijutsu page, with what was on the jutsu page about taijutsu, so that an include from taijutsu could be used as the sort intro on the jutsu page. Might Gai was already there, I just made it a link. Dantman (Talk) 17:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

There's another thing you should read: Dantman (Talk) 17:27, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia pages

I made a nice guide at Project:How to copy from Wikipedia. Dantman (Talk) 03:06, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Jutsu Lists

See much easier. You added jutsus flawlessly. Just tell me when you 2 think you've finished adding jutsu to the lists and I'll run the bot to convert those lists to the ones that the readers see. Dantman(CGANI)(talk|CGANI) 01:12, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Greeting Team

I said I'd make one, and I've made one. You can now use {{subst:Welcome}} to welcome a new user. In fact, it'll be even better cause we can add extra stuff and change it around every now and then and just use that to go with whatever we need. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Apr 28, 2007 @ 14:44 (UTC)

Good to see ya!

LoneWolf 5, can you look over Chidorasengan's Edits. From what it looks like he has moved some pages to the Japanese name. I do not know if his additions to the List pages (Which he did wrong and had them overridden by the bot) consisted partly of converting English to Japanese names. Can you look over what he has done and revert any changes he has made to convert English names to Japanese ones. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Jun 15, 2007 @ 18:41 (UTC)

LoneWolf 5, don't bother with the comments on pages such as Forum talk:Index that don't seem to have anything relevant to them. Human beings don't do those, those pages are created by spambots trying to mess up a site. That message was made on multiple wiki across Wikia on the same page. If it's on a talkpage, and it doesn't seem to have exact relevance to the article in question. Basically anything saying Hi, I like your site, or Hi I stumbled across your site, or even some random comment on a new talkpage about US presidents is a comment added by a spambot. Just ignore them and I'll delete them when they show up. ~Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Jun 29, 2007 @ 03:00 (UTC)

Haku dispute

Hello, LoneWolf 5. There's been a dispute going on over at Talk:Haku. Please don't add to it (It's not going to solve much), but I'd like to know what your opinion as a member of the community is on how disruptive that dispute is. Personally I think it's to much for one piece of information on a low appearing character in the series, especially when only one new editor thinks it's even remotely debatable. Feel free to direct any comments on it to my talkpage or to this section on your own. I'd like to know what the community feels about this debate in relation to the Narutopedia so I know how to act on it. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Dec 10, 2007 @ 01:53 (UTC)

We could use your feedback on Talk:Haku#Trivia addition on how to improve the article. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Dec 10, 2007 @ 03:43 (UTC)
