- Since you're annoyed with TheUltimate3 for doing his job, I want to point out that Omnibender gave you the answer right here ^. The policy states 1. That the picture has text that was not originally there, meaning it was edited. 2. It has a poor filename. 3. It's a duplicate, meaning it is already uploaded (my me, as a matter of fact).
- 1 can be fixed by removing the text from the text bubble. 2 can be fixed, well, by uploading the image with a more describing filename, or by following 3: If it's the same image, you can upload a new version of it. By doing that, the new file will adopt the Fair use rationale + license, aswell as the name and file history.
- On a personal note, I'd like to say that I generally prefer raw images, since they are bigger and easier to use in different sizes. ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 14:01, October 23, 2009 (UTC)
Removal of messages
The Talkpage policy states you can't remove messages from the talkpage like you did. If you want to clear parts of the whole talk page, click "Archive" up on the toolbar containing buttons like "Edit this page" and "Leave message". ~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 00:13, November 13, 2009 (UTC)
Well let me say this. WHY DO WE USE THE CRAPPY RAW PICS FOR MANGA PHOTOS INSTEAD OF THE NICER LOOKING ONES. i mean the raw ones are crappy, ugly and personally i cant even tell whats in the pic half the time. but with the English subbed ones the pics always come in PERFECT. i prefer those pics instead of the raw Japanese ones. and i mean once the subbed ones are out then why dont we just use those. but i encountered a problem with that. it appears that if im not the first one to do so then it will be taken down as done by SOMEBODY i wont say there name. but he thinks that the crappy raw pics are better so i guess all i have to do beat them to the pic or i cant do anything about it except complain
- If there's no text on the image, it's fine (they haven't copyrighted the greyness in the paper). What's wrong about having text in the image is that it falisifies the image's originality. I don't know if you'd understand if I tried to explain (I tend to mess up explanations so even I can barely understand it myself :D), but I'll try: The fair use rationale shows to the source, giving credit to the ones who made and/or owns the image. An image with non-original elements is edited. Since there are different ways of translating the original text, it's not a reliable source. Showing to an edited, non-original image leaves the fair use rationale without any value. This makes it illegal to use, and we're trying to stay on the legal side. (Hope that's understandable 8D)~Hakinu (talk | contribs) 00:27, November 13, 2009 (UTC); Edit: 17:22, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
