Re: Anime translations

Water Release Genjutsu: Mystic Fog Prison, I think, should be Water Release Genjutsu: Demonic Phantom Fog Prison (水遁幻術・霧幻魔牢, Suiton Genjutsu: Mugen Marō). Soul Detachment Technique should probably be Soul–Body Separation Technique (魂身別離の術, Konshin Betsuri no Jutsu).

The division Sabiru was a part of was called the Tactical Group of Urban Defences (都市防衛の戦術部門, Toshi Bōei no Senjutsu Bumon), but I can't really say if it's the name of an actual division or simply a description of the group's purpose. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 23:58, August 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • Water Release: Ice Darts Technique, ehm, yeah this one's tough. I think I hear the user say "Suiton: Rekkū Suigeki," but I can't figure out what the 'rekkū' part is supposed to mean…
  • Inaho Village (稲穂村, Inaho-mura)
  • Jofuku Flower (徐福花, jofukubana). Here, however, the term jofuku grass (徐福草, jofukusō) is used. In any way, 'jofuku' (徐福) means 'gradual good fortune'.
  • Mount Jofuku (徐福山, Jofukuyama)
  • Jofuku Forest (徐福の森, Jofuku no mori)
  • Furofuki (フロフキ)
ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 10:01, August 9, 2011 (UTC)
The 'g' in Japanese can sound very close to a 'd' sometimes. Any way, 'rekkū' might be cold sky (冽空), as odd as this sounds to me. This would make the technique's name Water Release: Cold Sky Water Attack (水遁・冽空水撃, Suiton: Rekkū Suigeki). —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 22:05, November 12, 2011 (UTC)
Sexy technique: Pole Dance and Nice Body (おいろけの術・ポールダンス・アンド・ナイス・ボディー, Oiroke no Jutsu: Pōrudansu ando Naisu Bodī). Where the hell did he keep that pole hidden? —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 00:59, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
  1. he says just about exactly what the subtitles say. He himself already thought of that variation of the Oiroke no Jutsu a while ago.
  2. He wonders if it's a staff technique (棒術, bōjutsu).
ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 16:31, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
  1. I wouldn't list him as a user, no.
  2. Bouncy Bouncy Technique (プリンプリンの術, Purin Purin no Jutsu). Although プリン (purin) means 'pudding', プリンプリン (purin purin) is a Japanese onomatopoeia for something shaking and bouncing like a pudding, especially female breasts. So 'bouncy bouncy' would be a better translation than 'pudding pudding'.
ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 21:59, November 13, 2011 (UTC)
  1. 'Chesuto' (チェスト) isn't really the name of a technique. It's a kind of kiai or kakegoe, a shout of encouragement and energy. 'Chesuto' is very popular in Kagoshima, a prefecture consisting mostly of islands.
  2. It's very difficult to hear, but I think they say Water Release: Water Army Water Demon Technique (水遁・水軍水魔の術, Suiton: Suigun Suima no Jutsu). A suima is any demon that causes disastrous floods to happen.
  3. I believe he's saying Water Release: Water–Heavens Convergence (水遁・水天彷彿, Suiton: Suiten Hōfutsu). 水天彷彿 is a Japanese idiom referring to a view of the horizon where the earth and the sky cannot be easily distinguished. I find it rather ironic, by the way, that the flower-using shinobi calls the shinobi using this technique out for being a 'mercenary ninja', which is really what all shinobi are…

Re: First Databook

The Sexy Technique does not have a range and that diagram shows the character's personalities. The more to the left a character is, the calmer their personality is, while being more to the right means a character is hot-blooded. The top indicates a character has a quick temper, while the bottom indicates tolerance. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 20:56, November 13, 2011 (UTC)

Hiden: the numerous techniques handed down orally in specific regions and clans
Confidential, high-level techniques handed down by clans and groups living in restricted regions to their descendants through oral tradition. 'Hiden' that require special abilities or lineages are scarce, but they are simply not taught to outsiders. Because the techniques themselves are also kept secret, the number of 'hiden' that currently exist is unknown, even in Konohagakure.
ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 11:24, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
It does. Pages 154–160 give explanations on what chakra and jutsu are and what each specific category entails. The Hiden article I translated above is part of that. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 12:31, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
Kinjutsu is not one of the main technique categories, so it doesn't have a main article like the others. There is a small insert that talks about the reasons for classifying a technique as kinjutsu, though. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 11:25, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
You mean should it be listed on the First Databook article? I don't see a reason why not, really. It's about as close to an article as kinjutsu will ever get. —ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 15:46, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Game translations

  1. Deleted ^^
  2. Destructive Beauty (破壊の美, Hakai no Bi)

ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 22:02, November 13, 2011 (UTC)

  1. If you leave out the 'Ninpō' part, I'd use a colon between 'Super Beasts Imitating Drawing' and 'A Hundred Demons Wandering at Night'. I would also replace the space in the name with ・.
  2. Before I'm going to try my hand at translating those names, where did they come from? Some of them don't really look right to me.
ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 11:35, November 15, 2011 (UTC)
Man, that's a weird name…
  1. Tail Path Foolishness (尾道魯, Odoru). This name was probably created by taking the word 'odoru' (踊る, to dance) and giving it new kanji.
  2. Prepared Puppet: Eight Waves of Needles (仕込み傀儡・針々八波)
  3. Puppet Technique: Bishamon (傀儡の術・毘沙門). The name Bishamon is written with the kanji for 'help' (毘) and 'shramana' (沙門), which in turn is written with the kanji for 'sand' (沙) and 'gate' (門). If the card game is correct, though, then it probably should be written as 尾砂悶 (Tail Sand Agony).
  4. Puppet Technique: Heavy Blade Warehouse (傀儡の術・重刃庫, Kugutsu no Jutsu: Jūhako). The name 'Jūhako' is probably meant to invoke the feeling of the word 'ohako' (十八番, favourite trick, speciality; Literally meaning "number eighteen"), which is the word used to describe what Hiruko is to Sasori. The first kanji of this word can also be read as 'jū', creating 'jūhako'.
  5. Petal-Dancing Flower Garden (花弁舞う花園)
ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 13:12, November 17, 2011 (UTC)
  1. The kanji for Tail Path Foolishness are correct.
  2. The kanji for Prepared Puppet: Eight Waves of Needles are correct and the rōmaji are 'Shikomi Kugutsu: Shinshin Happa'.
  3. Bishamon, when written as 毘沙門, I would translate as 'helping shramana'. The literal translation for 尾砂悶 I already gave above. It might be wise to try and find this technique's name in a Youtube clip or something, so we can verify what kanji to use. Personally I believe it should be 尾砂悶, as that fits better with the names of the related techniques and is the one used in the card game.
  4. I'm talking about this card game.
ShounenSuki (talk | contribs | translations) 11:39, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

Assuming all those techniques come from the same game, they need to be added to the game debut in their infoboxes as well. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 15:06, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Precisely that one. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:35, November 20, 2011 (UTC)
  1. Hanabiramau Hanazono.
  2. Yes, Tail Path Foolishness has the same pronunciation in the video.

Game technique

Since you have the habit of going through game techniques, I thought I'd let you know. Going through some pages, I saw through the semantic drilldown that there's a game technique with "taijutsu" as a value, but in the field where chakra nature goes. I already went through game techniques starting with A, B and C. Just be on the lookout for that. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:25, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Partial Super Multi-Size Technique

I think I got it from Chōji's article over at the Japanese Wikipedia. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:17, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

Not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised. Most of the games show the technique's name in kanji, specially when they're ougi. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:20, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
My suggestion is looking up gameplay videos on youtube. I found a bunch of stuff from Ultimate Ninja Impact when I looked it up with the Japanese title in quotation marks. Try that and combining it with the kanji for ougi or the character's name. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:43, November 29, 2011 (UTC)
This is what I discovered to be the best method for finding video game techniques: provided that you have the kanji name of a video-game technique that debuted in the game you want to look up, Google that in quotation marks, and add the video-game's Japanese name, also in quotation marks. I found a technique specific for Ultimate Ninja Impact in a video, asked Seelentau to give me the kanji (in this case, it was "Shadow Clone: Great Revolving" and "Shadow Clone: Upper"). Looking up those names and UNI's Japanese name, I came up with the three links I put in UNI's talk page, which list many techniques. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 00:00, November 30, 2011 (UTC)
Well, looked up these kanji specifically, and while it didn't show a link to a games page like the one from UNI did (well, several pages in Chinese with things from games showed up, but I didn't looked deep into it), these kanji did show up in the page of Naruto's trading card game, which uses technique names from video games. 2. Yes, he calls it Shadow Clone Technique.

Re: Game techniques

Yes, the space is there. I happened to discover the kanji for that one while watching a video for techniques from UNSG, it's in one of the saiyanisland posts about the game. The space is similar to the one in Guy's latest variant of Leaf Whirlwind. For those three other techniques, I left the other names because it seems that the one creating those articles, is using the English version of the name, so technically, those are the English name games. The ones that I can't match to the techniques I found or that I can't properly translate, I'm adding to my watch list. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:12, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

How exactly? Looking at those three articles, I see them with the name I moved them to, and in the infobox, I see kanji, rōmaji, literal English and game name. I also see them with the name I moved them to in the video game articles, in the infoboxes. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:18, February 26, 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Is it possible you could provide some feedback on an issue I'm having on [talkpage]? --Speysider (Talk Page) 19:28, April 14, 2012 (UTC)

Tobi Silhouette

Did you think Tobi's silhouette appeared in Naruto? If not then it's okay but if a manga chapter and anime episode shows that he appeared with Zetsu in in the final valley and the akatsuki gatherg also spying on Itachi when he was with Kisame looking for sasuke and naruto then we will wait and see. Also thanks for helping me out. User:Gamma Venom 567

That's okay But I ment if new chapters show flashbacks of Part I with Tobi watching Itachi and Kisame at Sasuke and Naruto to meet up with Zetsu who watched the fight of Naruto and Sasuke. He could have watched the sealing of the One-Tails and Itachi fighting Naruto's group as well as Tobi watching Zetsu eating a corpes. You know what I mean? User:Gamma Venom 567

Removal or Not?

I spoke with the user that's been posting info about Hinata and her parents from Road to Ninja, so before I do anything, I wanna ask if this sounds like speculation to you. I know most of the data we got are from blogs and interviews and such, but I'm a bit wary on this. What do you think?--NinjaSheik 20:23, August 5, 2012 (UTC)

Seeing as you didn't reply to my talk page, I figured you didn't know I answered there, so I'll post my reply here: Nope, I never heard of that in the movie. I've been searching through some forums, and people are even discussing the movie didn't know that, either. Since it sounds like speculation, I think it'd be best to remove to avoid any confusion. Lots of folks have seen it already (I read from the forums), and are debating about it.--NinjaSheik 21:04, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
Interjecting here, many people here reply on the asker's talkpage so that you get a notification about it. Replying to your own talkpage is pointless as not everyone receives emails or checks them often enough. Suggestion: reply on the person's talkpage so they know you are replying to them. --Speysider Talk Page | My Image Uploads | Tabber Code | My Wiki | Channel 21:11, August 5, 2012 (UTC)

I know, I know, but the folks at the KH Wiki does because they also know it's bothersome to go back and forth and back forth between talk pages, so we liked to do it on just one. I'm so used to it that I forget that people do it the other way.--NinjaSheik 21:16, August 5, 2012 (UTC)

Re: UNH3 ougi

Gaara's is something like "Waving Sand Waterfall Spread" (濤砂瀑氾, Tōsabakuhan) and Kankurō's is "Puppet: Burning Blade" (傀儡・燒燃刃, Kugutsu: Shōnenha). Here's video with both English and Japanese. Gaara's at 7:27, and Kankurō's at 7:58. Kankurō's matches the English translation very well (maybe not, but I can't find a way to translate the first kanji in his ougi other than "burning", it's simple enough to translate both as that). Gaara's is a bit more complicated. I'm not sure my translation is accurate, or if there's a missing "s" in the rōmaji. In the English game, his ultimate is "Cascading Sand Wave Flood". Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 01:07, January 7, 2013 (UTC)

Wind Release: Drilling Air Bullet. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 22:30, January 9, 2013 (UTC)
Yamato's is "Wood Release: Beams" (木遁・梁木, Mokuton: Yanagi). The usual pronunciation of 梁木 is Ryōboku. Yanagi when written as 柳 or 楊 means "willow". Tayuya's is "Demonic Flute: Three Subordinates Interment Melody" (魔笛・三従葬曲, Mateki: Sanjū Sōkyoku). When written as 三重, sanjū means "triple", and when written as 奏曲, sōkyoku is an abbreviation for "sonata", which is 奏鳴曲 sōmeikyoku. Quite some word play in this one. And it actually debuted in Ultimate Ninja 3. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 23:22, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Uzumaki Mask Temple

Why would a mask temple of the Uzumaki clan he in Konoha and no in Uzushiogakure? The building was in ruins because it was in Uzushiogakure, a village in ruins. If this temple was in Konoha they would've kept it fixed in memory of the Uzumaki clan. Csfranklin (talk) 19:53, February 1, 2013 (UTC) Csfranklin

But you should realize just how close Uzushiogakure is to Konoha, Uzushiogakure was just located off the shore from Konoha. The writer probably just felt that it would be ok to skip more traveling and just have A small few hour skip and appear in Konoha. It wouldn't be the first time that they've done something like that Csfranklin (talk) 20:10, February 1, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Team 7 (Chapter)

My mistake on the latest chapter, but the section tags don't need to be removed. As for the latest chapter not showing i simple resaved the chapter page. — SimAnt 18:46, June 1, 2013 (UTC)

Re: strength of a hundred seal

It is, indeed. I never noticed that. My mistake, sorry. Seelentau 愛 16:21, June 3, 2013 (UTC)

Ino Yamanaka page

Sorry that was an accident I was deleting some rude sentence that someone put on her page and they also did it on Temari's which is disgusting. Inoyamanaka98 (talk) 21:09, June 4, 2013 (UTC)Inoyamanaka98

Ok it seems whoever is doing this is doing it to the main female characters. Inoyamanaka98 (talk) 21:18, June 4, 2013 (UTC)Inoyamanaka98

Re: Tail Chasing Fang Rotating Fang

尾追い牙転牙 seems to be correct. I don't know about the name for Santōrō, Mangastream says it's "Gōhenka" and not "Konbi Henge", but I can't find a fitting Kanji. We'll have to wait for the full raw for this, the script's missing that part... Seelentau 愛 05:17, June 6, 2013 (UTC)

As I thought, almost every Jutsu article had a mistake in its name. Why aren't you people waiting for the full raw to come out? That way we wouldn't waste so many edits on those articles. :/ Seelentau 愛 16:54, June 7, 2013 (UTC)
It's read as イー Ī. Seelentau 愛 19:02, June 7, 2013 (UTC)

Spaces

Please stop editing pages simply to add or remove spaces. Whether it's adding a space to a heading or removing extra spaces at the end of a line or eliminating instances of double spaces, it has no impact on how the page ultimately appears. If you want to remove the spaces in the course of making other edits, as you did here, that would be fine. Also, please try to mark minor edits as minor edits. Maybe set it as default in your Preferences since you make a lot of them. ~SnapperTo 18:54, June 10, 2013 (UTC)

Shū (lord) Backgroud

Sorry to bother you, want to ask you if you could work on Shū's background when your available? I have some photos to add but his background isn't done, and your English is better then mine :p. Dan.Faulkner (talk) 18:35, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

Who do you think that could help? because wasn't given a background to all the characters from that episode but the episode was a flashback, so they should have a bakcground right? Dan.Faulkner (talk) 19:03, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
