Welcome to my talk page.

  • Any compliments, suggestions, or comments you have for edits I do, please post them here.
  • If you want help from me please fell free to post as well.
  • If you have a reply for a post here, don't start a new secion, please put a ":" before your message to make an indent notifying the reply.
  • If you want to talk to me about something that has completely nothing to do with Narutopedia, then post a reply of my Center Wikia Talkpage. Questions about fanon must go to my Naruto Fanon Talkpage.
  • I am usually most alert for new messages and replies from Friday to Sunday.
  • I may reply on your own userpage. But my most preferred choice would be to keep a discussion where it started.

Click here to send a message. or click on the "leave message" tab.

Thank you very much,

Hello Kakashi Namikaze, greetings and welcome to the Narutopedia. We do hope that you will stay for a long time. Enjoy your stay as we work to become the best Naruto info site out there. BELIEVE IT!

If you're looking for something to do why not look over the Forums or more specifically Narutopedia Collaboration for a list of projects we're working on. And the Community portal has a lot of recent discussions and places to go listed on it.

Kakashi Namikaze, when you merge content from one article into another, could you please notify me so that I can merge the page histories. If you just redirect the old page it obfuscates the history and causes a GFDL violation because the editors who contributed to those pages are not attributed. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion May 16, 2008 @ 08:40 (UTC)

When something like the Ashley page shows up. Just throw {{delete|quick=<true>}} up on the top of it. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion May 17, 2008 @ 11:05 (UTC)

Forums considered harmfull

A little discussion over at Forums considered harmfull? ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion May 21, 2008 @ 16:16 (UTC)

A little more on the topic would be good, watch it maybe. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion May 25, 2008 @ 16:30 (UTC)
On that note, would you mind moving User:Kakashi Namikaze, User:Kakashi Namikaze/Behind the Scenes, and User:Kakashi Namikaze/Five Kage Sage to the Naruto Fanon wiki. I can then help move User:Kakashi Namikaze/Userboxes and Other to your actual userpage. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion May 25, 2008 @ 20:25 (UTC)
You may delete User:Kakashi Namikaze/Five Kage Sage and I will move the rest ASAP. Kakashi Namikaze 20:29, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Wikipedia page text

Since you're editing a lot of the articles tagged with Wikipedia page text, you want to help actually fix them? The current way they're being edited isn't actually helping them. Fixing up formatting and adding a Wikipedia tag doesn't fix them at all. The whole point of that tag is a deletion like notice saying that it needs to be replaced.

If you want to help fix those, go back to the Wikipedia page where the content came from, open up the edit page and copy the source from WP, then paste it over top of the text inside of the page that was copied from the page text. And then add the Wikipedia template. Though, do note for a bit of cleanness and standards across the wiki it's normally done as {{Wikipedia}} rather than {{wikipedia}}. And it would be nice if people actually paste the name of the article they copied from into the first parameter, it helps stop things from breaking when being moved. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion May 25, 2008 @ 22:32 (UTC)

I checked in Wikipedia and there is no section on Yoroi Akado. --Kakashi Namikaze 19:56, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

All movement is complete. User:Kakashi Namikaze/Userboxes and Other may be moved to User:Kakashi Namikaze.

Could you please change the article "Hidden Earth Technique" back to "Hiding in Stone Technique". I created the article and watched the shippuden episode and the title is not incorrect.

The wiki doesn't use the name used in the series because of how many jutsu there are and how long it takes before a real English name is given. For the record, the English name of the Jutsu you saw in the shippūden episode is NOT the official name of that jutsu, there is none, because it has not yet been given an English name. The name you are referring to is a translation done by a unprofessional, unofficial fansub. Fansubs are not reliable sources for translations of stuff. The Wiki here uses literal translation of the Japanese terms rather than using the romanized names, or waiting for the English series to spit out an official name. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Jun 1, 2008 @ 07:32 (UTC)

Image tagging

^_^ Thanks for helping with the image tagging, here are 3 things you might not know about which could help:

  • We have another tag for poor quality images. {{Poor quality}} but namely it's got a small subset {{Poor quality|<leafninja>}}. So if you see any of the small square portraits of characters tag them with {{Poor quality|<leafninja>}} because they are likely the poor quality leafninja shots which we'd like to replace with good ones.
  • We also have a tag for bad filenames {{Poor filenames}} so for any of the images with a jumble of numbers or whatever inside of them that don't reflect the image well can be tagged like that. ^_^ I personally dislike .jpeg and .JPG and wish MW would normalize those to .jpg, I wouldn't oppose those being tagged to. Perhaps I'll add a {{Poor filename|<ext>}} message. (Oh btw, if you see anything with a .gif extension, just tag it for deletion, .gif images are crap in these cases and aren't meant for any type of graphic higher than an icon)
  • And finally, just a small tip. After you've saved a page with character tags. You have to click the refresh tab to get MW to reparse the page and display the character in the list.

Use the {{No license}} and {{No rationale}}. And for copies from the page text of Wikipedia use Wikipedia page text. I used to use the {{delete}} templates, however people keep acting like complete idiots and making stupid comments on the talkpage about why "This article is so important you shouldn't delete it" without even bothering to read the reason listed. So I switched over to those notices which basically shout the reason in their face. Also, it's cleaner for category organization and helps out with splitting the large amount of Images to be deleted later in the future, to the articles which actually need deletion around now. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Jun 29, 2008 @ 00:58 (UTC)

Template for bad userpages

Feel free to create a template. For the most part you can create one by copying most of something like {{Bad filename}} and modifying the text. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Sep 6, 2008 @ 11:53 (UTC)

Here, it's not needed elsewhere. ~NOTASTAFF Daniel Friesen (DanTMan, Nadir Seen Fire) (talk) current discussion Sep 7, 2008 @ 14:19 (UTC)

Weekly Polls

Can you make a page that features the results of the site's weekly polls like who's the favorite character from Team 7? (talk) 17:34, March 1, 2013 (UTC)Saadoo

Hovering your mouse cursor over the poll bars gives you your percentage, if you're talking about the one on the main page. If you mean archived polls from previous weeks, I'm not sure about that. I haven't edited here for quite some time. Consider inquiring an administrator or asking at Talk:Narutopedia. Hope that helps! --Kakashi Namikaze (retired) - talk 22:28, March 1, 2013 (UTC)
