Poor filename

I say it is a poor filename if it is uploaded without a file extension. Simant (talk) 21:44, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Re: I entrust

I'm on it. And yes, my Talk Page could use a archive. I'm just lazy and still have no idea how to work the archive tool.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 17:54, October 8, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Spoilerblocks

I am well aware of the chapter's releases on various websites. Part of the way to keep this Wiki running at tip top efficiency is to know what is going to happen before the masses. And to make sure it runs efficiently, you need to have a system. Having spoilers thrown into the Wiki a week before the chapter is "released" to the masses can cause problems, more problems than I would like to deal with. Therefore we've adopted the "Friday release" policy. There is a similar policy (albeit better) at the Bleach Wiki. This "Friday Release Policy" however is more or less an unwritten rule that has been worked without problems for years.

Yes this was alot longer than I expected it to be.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 00:46, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Actually, because I typically don't bother coming here constantly on Thursday, spoilers put up get past my watchful eye. The Friday thing still stands even if the chapters are released on Thursday, it's just when I log on and see like 10 edits across the site I just tell myself to let it go.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 01:22, October 9, 2009 (UTC)

Re: plies

Sorry. I've restored it. Though I'm not sure how many random shots of Kiba are needed in his article. ~SnapperTo 18:29, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

Hi Hakinu!!! Hey, i was wondering... i've just realized that you were the one who substitute Ao's principal image. And i was wondering if you could help with something? An image from the last chapter where we can see Kiba, Sai, Sakura and Rock Lee arriving with Naruto at the Land of Iron!!! Can you upload a better image?! Or something please? I've been searching all this time but i always find the same image I uploaded :S, thanks for everything. --Kiba91 (talk) 15:51, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

Ohhhhhhhhhh! Thanks a lot!!!!! Thanks for all the help :), also for the link!!!! Really useful!!! ^^ And btw, i didn't know that the english text makes it of poor quality!! Thanks for telling me that, really :D --Kiba91 (talk) 21:37, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Re: Naruto Genin (aka (fanfare) Hakinu butting in!)

It was the mission to meet Sasori's spy at Orochimaru. Shikamaru mentioned it in episode 54, something like: "next time I can help you, now when the god-dam chunin exam is over". Jacce | Talk 14:11, October 18, 2009 (UTC).

Team Oboro

The guy on Team Oboro has blond hair as well.

It was colored in differently in the anime.—This unsigned comment was made by Cidem1324 (talkcontribs) .

Do as you want, as long as I can read it, it doesn't matter how it is written. Jacce | Talk 21:11, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Take out the link portion to the page the just edited, they know where they have been, and its annoying when those stay after the page they edit is deleted. I would have done it myself if i knew where that template was... Simant (talk) 21:13, October 26, 2009 (UTC)
The welcome message, says "Welcome to narutopedia, THANK YOU for your edit to Link here page..."? i think thats the one you were talking about... Simant (talk) 21:21, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Your work?

They're similar to my Sharingan image, but I didn't make those two images. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 21:54, October 26, 2009 (UTC)

Re: What does it do?

I am hoping it'll force the server to put up the right picture. On articles it still shows the Scanlation versions and I am hoping deleting the scanlation the raw will be up.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 21:24, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

OK, but could you tell me something? I was trying to upload new version of a picture several times, but maybe I didn't quite understand how to do it. First I press "Upload a new version of this file", second - should the picture be with the same name or it doesn't matter and in the section "File changes:" what should I write: Example - "Better quality" or all the data for an image? And when I did that the new picture looks like the old one(don't know why) or when I try to make the new picture "current" it makes new pictures and doesn't make it "current". What I am doing wrong?--Donatelo (talk) 16:57, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

OK. Here what I understood. My Cache is the problem and from what Dantman had written you, should I understand that only I see the old image instead the new one? And when this Cache problem fix itself I will see the new picture? And this problem can fix itself all by yourself but it will take time - how long? And I can force it to fix itself but I didn't understand what is that "green refresh (purge) tab beside the watch tab"?--Donatelo (talk) 18:05, November 1, 2009 (UTC)
Yep, still nothing. I did clearing Cache several times but still don't want to show me the new picture. Tell me something: What image do you see here: The Missed Target?--Donatelo (talk) 19:12, November 1, 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about that. :) You said: "in the file history there are 2xnaruto and choji going D:... agh, it's odd!" This is my big problem. It doesn't show the right picture in file history. And what you see is that in file history, not the real picture. That is why I give up from uploading new version of image. But then see this one: Yagura (anime). You should see picture of him 1280:800, but I think you actually will see a stretch picture of him. I uploaded 640 and 1280 and in file history 640 is fine, but 1280 is a mess. Why is that, what is going on? I don't know. It is really complicated. I can't even set it to "current".--Donatelo (talk) 19:33, November 1, 2009 (UTC)

Heh, yeah! is just that I'm new in this so... haha well thanks, also, for the correction. see ya! --AndyNeji14 (talk) 01:11, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the help with JaiBoogie. Jacce | Talk 04:26, November 13, 2009 (UTC)

Re: I can't agree with you there

The rule to not upload new image over a older image was made as part to avoid people uploading completely different images on top of older ones. For example, using Xandotablet's as an example, he uploaded a Part II images of Sasuke's Sharingan overtop a Part I image. That picture was removed and deleted as it was not the same image. However, pictures of Madara's Mangekyo Sharingan and Izuna Uchiha were replaced by their exact same image, except in the anime format. Not taking into account Madara's Mangekyo image was broken anyway, it didn't break the Image Policy because the image replaced was the image shown, but in higher quality (think how we replace scanlation images with RAW images of the same thing. Same concept except different media.)--TheUltimate3 (talk) 18:17, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

I don't know what Dantman said, but yeah. If anything this can be argued as a loophole. As long as the rational is updated to match the new image (in the loophole cases)then things should be fine. Anyway that's my stance, if you feel it requires further explanations or a final ruling ask Dantman.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 18:58, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Meh. Losing this battle doesn't bother me. I've won and lost many battles. And I fully accept being the bad cop guy. This place needs one, or else it would fall to the trolls, vandals and piss poor editors in a matter of hours.--TheUltimate3 (talk) 22:31, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Re: which one?

I also figured they were actually the same character, but I haven't been able to check so far. I only managed to verify Chichiyasu and his mention in of the pre-timeskip filler episodes. Is it possible you could perhaps verify if the Land of Swamps and its daimyō are mentioned in the Shippūden movie? I could then check if the names are the same. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 01:49, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Re: another translation question

The kanji used to write the word daimyō (大名) literally mean great name.

According to my sources, the word isn't short for daimyōden (大名田, great named land), but for daimyōshu (大名主, great name owner). However, this myō (, name) does come from myōden (名田, named land).

In the end, the name means something like: "a person who controls a large amount of named lands". A feudal lord, in other words.

However, I'm not an expert on etymology and the origin of words is, more often than not, murky and ambiguous. I'll try to find a more definite source for you, if you find it necessary. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 21:34, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

We could also remove the translation completely and link to Wikipedia. Let them take care of the real-life origins of the word and simply focus on the Narutoverse application here. --ShounenSuki (talk | contribs) 14:57, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Thank you
