Is it possible to sort the characters on their family name, instead of their first name? and is it possible to change the sorting of the rank filters to be in the order of the actual hierarchy instead of alphabetical? --ShounenSuki ^{(talk | contribs)} 05:31, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

I understand sorting the ranks properly would be very difficult. It's not that big an issue to be wasting too much time and effort on, really. However, I do feel the characters should be sorted better, even if it does come down to manually adding a defaultsort to each page. Sorting characters by their given name is counter-intuitive and causes family members to not be sorted together. What needs to be done to the jutsu infobox for it to be ready for implementation? Also, is it gonna be manual edits or bot replacing info? Simant (talk) 06:02, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Well the first problem i notice is that under type there is only the ability to select one option, whereas i have seen jutsu with defensive and offensive. Simant (talk) 06:23, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

It looks like the problem with the range is that it is doing the array map first then the switch. So is the arraymap is just there untill the switch starts to work? so the problem is getting the variable into the switch statement? Simant (talk) 09:05, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

its working ok.. i just am still seeing the extra commas in front of it and not the text changing to "short to mid". is it my cache or something? Simant (talk) 09:21, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Another issue is that there appears to only be space for one parent jutsu, when some game jutsu's and harem technique have multiple parents, shadow clone and transformation. Simant (talk) 02:18, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Shouldn't articles where characters are deceased, have the episode and manga chapter that they died, so its not current events kinda stuff. Simant (talk) 20:53, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Stats pictures

Hello, I am not sure if I am speaking where I'm supposed to, but I have a suggestion: the uploading of character stats pictures (you know, the thing with the ninjutsu, taijutsu etc the octagonal thingy or what it's called). Some users have access to databooks (a thing which I do not) where stuff like these appear, if maybe an encouragement would be given to them to upload them etc. I think that those stats thingies are very important. I was thinking it was kinda stupid having the debuts for the first time a jutsu is used in general, why not instead, have individual character debuts of using the jutsu in something like (example. _{(Ep#5;Manga#4)}) next to the character name, so that we can verify easier, and it would be more info to provide to people looking this stuff up. Something should be in these articles so they don't appear empty (red link signals emptiness, at least in my head). Hi Dantman, I've been editing many things of Naruto Wiki, however I am curious with the licensing portion. For pictures from the actual chapters that were on One Manga or by SleepyFans, what licensing would I use?
