Please add new Jutsu to the list through List of Ninjutsu/list, List of Taijutsu/list, and List of Genjutsu/list not List of Ninjutsu, List of Taijutsu, and List of Genjutsu. The /list subpages are converted into those list tables by a bot. If you edit the pages themselves instead of the list page then the bot will just overwrite and remove what you added the next time it's run. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Jun 15, 2007 @ 07:28 (UTC)
- I've grown tired of adding items to the /list subpages after users place them in the wrong location. Please make the changes to the /list subpages yourself if you do not want the bot to remove the work you have done. I have added some information on new syntax and you can place dub names after a # after the English translation. I'll add programming to the bots to add that to a special area of the list pages later on. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Jun 15, 2007 @ 07:49 (UTC)
- Chidorasengan, please stop adding Jutus to List of Ninjutsu, List of Genjutsu, and List of Taijutsu. Add them to the /list subpage for each page instead. I have run the JutsuFormatBot to show you what happends when you don't add them to the /list subage. These three diffs show you what happens when you add things to the article pages instead of the /list subpages. Your work is still in the history so you can use that to help you add the content to the /list subpage instead of the article pages. If you and other users continue to edit the article pages instead of the /list pages I will half to protect the content pages so that only the bot can update those and users will only be able to edit the /list subpages. Thank you for your contributions, but this tool was created to help the Narutopedia members because they told me that they found using the tables in the list pages was hard for them. You strengthen this with the fact that when you were editing things into the page you broke the table.
- Also, please do not convert things to Original Japanese names, a long discussion has solidified the grounds of using Dub names for things in the encyclopedia. Any conversion of English to Japanese names will be reverted by the community. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Jun 15, 2007 @ 18:38 (UTC)
Because you have failed to follow the instrutions of editing List of Ninjutsu/list, List of Genjutsu/list, and List of Taijutsu/list your changes to List of Ninjutsu, List of Genjutsu, and List of Taijutsu have been reverted and the pages are protected. You are instructed to make your additions to the list on List of Ninjutsu/list, List of Genjutsu/list, and List of Taijutsu/list and the bot will add those new Jutsus to the page itself. These instructions were created and discussed with the entire Narutopedia community when they were created. I would like to remind you that this is a community site, and just because you like something better than something else does not make it the thing to to. Things are done here by community decision. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Jun 17, 2007 @ 08:11 (UTC)
I am so very sorry but you had brought that up during one of my edits. It failed to go through so I thought something wrong happened. I'm sorry. Also what are sub pages for that matter, I may have an okay Vocabulary but your being to complex for my weak, undeveloped, low attention spanded 11 Year Old mind. Chidorasengan.
- Subpages use the same name as the parent article with a / and text after it. So List of Taijutu/list is a subpage of List of Taijutsu. Kinda like a directory you see on your computer. Subpages link back to their parent pages to. If you hear to use the 'bar' subpage of 'foo' it means to use the page 'foo/bar'. In turn the 'foo/bar' page will actually have an automatic link to 'foo' if it exists. ~Dantman(talk) current discussion Jun 18, 2007 @ 00:56 (UTC)
