Re: manga chapter release schedule

There are a couple weeks a year in which there are no new chapter because they're national holidays in Japan. About the usual release schedule, what I understand is the following: we usually get a scanlated chapter before it is actually released in Japan. To make sure everyone in Japan gets it at the same time, the magazine which contains the chapter is shipped earlier to some locations, and those are the magazines that end up being scanned and used for scanlations. It all comes down to when those scans become available. We used to get them only on Fridays, but now we get them on Wednesdays. I don't know if getting chapters on Tuesdays will be the rule now.
