This is all my own speculation about the nature transformations. I will only consider manga elements and I won't include Yin-Yang combinations, because I think they won't be present on manga history after all.

My ideas

  • Explosion Release: it's a combination of Fire and Lightning.
  1. The first unquestionable thing is the kanji used in Bakuton, as it has a fire radical. And along with that, there couldn't be an explosion without fire and heat.
  2. An explosion is only caused by a great energy release, along with high temperature. The only known elements that could to this are fire or lightning, both energy sources. But lightning, when it hits the ground, causes a great electrical discharge. It's not the same as a bomb hitting and exploding the ground. There's a little difference between these kinds of explosion.
  3. It was assumed by most people that Earth was a component just because Deidara had it. Who said a shinobi can't have a kekkei genkai and a third element? Kurotsuchi has water, fire and earth, but one kekkei genkai (Lava Release).
  4. Consider that not all villages have kekkei genkai composed by the most common element within it. Two exemples are Kirigakure and Kumogakure: Kiri had Ice (Water and Wind) and has Boil (Water and Fire) and Lava (Fire and Earth). Kiri's common element is water, and there is a least one kekkei genkai not composed by it. And Kumo had Magnet (Lightning and possibly Wind) and has Storm (Lightning and Water) and Lava. Kumo's common element is lighning, which is not a component of Lava.
  5. And for last, but irrelevant for being a game only jutsu, it's the effect of the justu Coming of the Lightning Fire Phoenix, which inspired me and fortified my idea.
  • Magnet Release: it's a combination of Lightning and Wind.
  1. I don't need to explain why Lightning is used. Magnetic forces are invisible and spread, properties that could be given by Wind's natural characteristics.
  2. Let's consider that Wind element is common in Sunagakure and there are another two advanced elements speculated to have Wind as a component: Scorch and Sand Release (supposing this element is really from Suna).
  • Sand Release: it's a combination of Earth and Wind element.
  1. Just like Omnibender, I think Shukaku could use this advanced element as a Tailed Beast Skill, just like the Four-Tails (it uses Lava Release) and the Five-Tails (I believe faithfully that its "steam" and Boil Release are the same thing).
  2. Like Omnibender again, it wouldn't be the first time a speculated element be reveled as an advanced element. Classical exemples include Explosion (Deidara) and Magnet (Third Kazekage).
  3. After all, there couldn't be another possible combination, considering that Shukaku has Wind element. But this is not a completely valid argument for me, as I don't see why a Tailed Beast can't use an advanced element without having its two components.
  • Metal Release: it's a combination of Earth and Lightning element.
  1. Metals are found on the earth (specifically rocks and soils) and are electrical condutors.
  2. Minerals are always composed of metals and are formed below the surface of earth by high temperatures and pressure, conditions that could be given by Lightning's natural properties. Ironically, this argument could be also used to affirm the old Crystal Release theory.
  3. The series used a lot of Taoism concepts, just like the Wood element. It is very possible that it will feature a Metal element too, and the most suitable combination for it would be Earth and Lightning, considering both Explosion and Magnet theories as true.

Thanks ShounenSuki for the icons and Omnibender for ideas and inspiration.
