Crystal	Earth	Lightning	Certain types of crystal-like glass called fulgurites are created when conductive minerals containing silica, usually sand, are struck by lightning, which alters the their molecular structure, creating a specific and precise spatial geometry. This is consistent with the creation of Guren's crystals, as revealed by a Kabuto-controlled Rinji.	Crystal Release is created through the as-of-yet not fully understood Yin and Yang manipulation of earth natured chakra. Also possible to be the earth equivalent of Blaze Release, being a stronger type of earth, in this case a class of minerals.
Dust	Earth	Wind	The mechanical weathering of rocks by air currents creates smaller mineral particles, such as dust.	None.

Blaze	Fire	Fire	A blaze is an intensely burning fire. Also the character for blaze (炎) is made up by two fire characters (火), suggesting added intensity. Amaterasu, whose flames are said to be as hot as the sun are manipulated with Blaze Release. It's possible it's a Mangekyo Sharingan skill.	Blaze is a combination of fire and lightning natures, both of which are Sasuke's natures. Both fire and lightning are composed of plasma, which is a very energized state of matter. Unlikely as the Sharingan isn't an element-combining kekkei genkai. It also can't copy advanced nature jutsu, as stated by Kakashi.
Dark	Lightning	Lightning	Dark Release techniques are said to be used to "absorb, manipulate, and release chakra taken from an opponent". According to our current definitions in basic element release articles, lightning is the only case in which chakra is actually converted into the element, other natures either change already existing objects, or take on specific properties depending on which nature is used. By extending that conversion potential, one can achieve greater, yet similar results, consistent with Dark Release jutsu. There's a small semantic connection via Kakuzu's Lightning Release: False Darkness. Also the most logical combination left considering the other options.	Dark Release is the result of lightning chakra which has been modified using as-of-yet not fully understood Yin and Yang manipulation, which is known to be the source of the Nara clan shadow techniques, though those are not consistent with the effects of Dark Release techniques. Yin and Yang might also be involved with similar canon techniques Chakra Absorption Technique and Blocking Technique Absorption Seal, the later being highly likely to have Yin and Yang involvement, as the Rinnegan allows the use of the six nature transformation changes, the sixth being widely believed to be some sort of Yin and Yang manipulation.
Steel	Earth	Earth	Steel is an alloy, mostly composed of iron and carbon, with varying qualities, created by the purification of raw minerals. It can be interpreted symbolically as a stronger type of earth. Earth natured chakra already accounts for "the ability to change the hardness and composition of all objects", allowing to "cause an object to be as solid as metal or soft as clay". Kakuzu's Earth Release: Earth Spear is an example, Steel Release could account for more varied and more powerful techniques.	Like Crystal Release, it can be earth nature chakra an as-of-yet not fully understood Yin and Yang manipulation. It can also be a combination of earth and lightning chakra, in an effect similar to the purification of alloys through an electrolytic cell.
Swift	Wind	Lightning	Air friction decreases the acceleration of fast moving objects, decreasing the air resistance allows faster movement. Lightning chakra has been proved to increase the speed of movement and reaction, as seen with the Ē's Lightning Release Armor, which vastly amplifies the effects of his Body Flicker Technique.	Either only wind or only lightning equivalent of main theory for Blaze Release and alternative theory for Crystal Release, with similar points to main theory for this advanced nature. Or yet the as-of-yet not fully understood Yin and Yang manipulation with either wind or lightning nature.

光 Light	Fire	Lightning	A Light (光, Hikari) nature, allowing Light Release (光遁, Kōton) ninjutsu. Heat and electricity are both forms of energy. Combining could produce yet another form of energy, that being luminous energy, in an process similar to photovoltaic cells and thermal collectors can change light into electricity and heat, only in the opposite direction. Techniques involving light are possible, since Hiding with Camouflage Technique involves the refraction of light using chakra.	A Radiation (放射, Hōsha) nature, allowing Radiation Release (放遁, Hōton) ninjutsu. Radiation, energy that has been emitted and can be absorbed by another body. Fire gives off heat and electric currents generate magnectic fields, which can also act as ionizing radiation. May branch into other forms of electromagnetic radiation. A Plasma (プラズマ, Purazuma) nature, allowing Plasma Release (プラズマ遁, Purazumaton) ninjutsu. Lightning is composed of plasma, and the gases that compose a burning fire can become plasma if they are sufficiently ionized.
颱 Typhoon	Wind	Wind	A Typhoon (颱風, Taifū) nature, allowing Typhoon Release (颱遁, Taiton) ninjutsu. A typhoon, like a cyclone or a hurricane, is a weather phenomenon, consisting of circulating wind currents.	A Vacuum (真空, Shinkū) nature, allowing Vacuum Release (空遁, Kūton) ninjutsu. Vacuum is a space devoid of matter. Most of the times, near vacuum spaces might have trace amounts of air. Removing said air could result in vacuum techniques. Unlikely as Danzō has shown two vacuum techniques, both of which were Wind Release. A Pressure (圧力, Atsuryoku) nature, allowing Pressure Release (圧遁, Atton) ninjutsu. The atmosphere pushes everything in it through pressure, but is usually canceled by an equal force with the same module and direction, but of opposite orientation, by the atmosphere itself. Damage such as the ones caused by blades, similar to Wind Release, are caused because too much force is applied in a small area. Pressure related techniques are possible, as seen with Kakuzu's Wind Release: Pressure Damage. A Sound (音, Oto) nature, allowing Sound Release (音遁, Onton) ninjutsu. Sound is also formed by the oscillation of pressure through a medium. Unlikely, as there have been sound techniques, none of which were the product of elemental techniques, though all of them were instrument based.

An ocean is an immense body of water. Could result in either a Steam (蒸気, Jōki) nature, allowing Steam Release (蒸遁, Jōton) ninjutsu, or a Bubble (泡, Awa) nature, allowing Bubble Release (泡遁, Hōton) ninjutsu, related to the steam and bubble techniques used by Han and Utakata. Unlikely, since they weren't mentioned as being advanced natures, can be the result of hijutsu, both appear to stem from equipment (Han's steam armor, Utakata's bubble blower), and can still be tailed beast derived skills.

Under the theory that same element combinations aren't possible, it is possible that there are natures which are simply stronger counterparts. This table includes my thoughts on what each basic nature, and each advanced nature (both confirmed and main theories of tables above) has as a stronger counterpart.
