This toad notices that Kōsuke is no longer on the list of inhabitants of Mount Myōboku, indicating that he is deceased.

Trivia

• This unnamed toad makes an appearance on the cover of manga volume 49, The Five Kage Summit, Commences…!! and makes another appearance in the fanbook, Kai no Sho, winning the race.^[1] On those occasions, he was depicted wearing a yellow bow tie.
• He also made another appearance on the cover of the Weekly Shōnen Jump volume 26, alongside Naruto.
