The Tsuchikage (土影; Literally meaning "Earth Shadow") is the leader of Iwagakure and thus recognised as the most powerful shinobi in the entire village. The Tsuchikage are known for holding true authority, having their shinobi obey every command without hesitation. There have been three Tsuchikage. The Tsuchikage resides in the tallest building in the village, composed of rock, with a cone shaped roof. The building bears the kanji for Tsuchi (土; Literally meaning "Earth").

Trivia

  • Two of the three Tsuchikage have been known to use underhanded tactics to ensure prosperity for their village, in times of alliances and peace. Due to this, the remaining great shinobi villages frown upon Iwagakure and its shinobi.
  • All Tsuchikage have displayed the ability to fly.
