He is the grandfather of Miina and Leo and also part of Tonika Village's local militia.
Personality
He appears to be very kind, spending time with his grandchildren and takes fun in hearing about the things they love. He could be very strict and authoritarian on the other hand, stopping Leo from teasing his sister with one dispraising word. He seems to be very brave and loyal towards his homeland, willingly fighting anyone who threatens it.
Appearance

He is an elderly, tall man with white hair and a beard that almost covers up his entire face. Normally, he is wearing a simple beige kimono with pants and dark sandals. In combat, he wears a simple plate armour alongside a dark headband and is wielding a sword. On his right arm is the complex tattoo of the village's militia.
Abilities
Despite his age, he is a powerful combatant, seen when he was able to hold his own against at least two reincarnated shinobi, using kenjutsu and taijutsu. He seems to remain calm even when cornered by lots of enemies and could use his experience to estimate his foes, allowing him to reduce unnecessary movements. He is also very strong, able to cut off a human limb with a single strike.
Part II
Chikara Arc
The grandfather leads the local militia to attack the invaders.
The grandfather is seen alongside his grandchildren in a flashback that begins shortly before the destruction of Tonika village. He talks with his granddaughter Miina about the melody she tends to hum and adjusts an argument between Miina and Leo over a drawn picture of their sensei Dokku. When Kabuto Yakushi's reincarnated shinobi attack the village, the grandfather is seen leading a troup of the militia to stop them. He battles two enemies at once and is greatly disturbed after finding out that his enemies recover any damage dealt to them.
The grandfather gives two bars to Dokku.
Shortly after that, he is found by Dokku. He gives two bars with unknown purpose to him and tells him to never talk with anybody about it. Since Dokku and the five kids he rescued are the only survivors of the massacre, it is highly possible that he died shortly after.
