The Three Wandering Ninja were mercenaries who appeared in the third movie.
Despite being missing-nins, the forehead protectors they wore bears no mark, thus not signifying which village they originated from (if at all). They all seemed to wear wigs and specialized in close-combat, combined with a performance-dulling powder that confounds the opponent; other than that, they don't seem to know any actual ninjutsu. Shabadaba hired the three ninjas to kill Kakeru Tsuki, the king of the Land of the Moon, and then to kill the king's son Michiru and grandson Hikaru, so Shabadaba can inherit the throne. While successful in killing Kakeru, the three ninja were stopped from killing the other two, and the three were later killed by Naruto Uzumaki, Rock Lee, and Sakura Haruno.
