  • Wow, I was not expecting that persona to make a comeback. Nice little reference back to Shippuden. In any case, lots of little bits with the other background students, which is nice, plus it cements the idea that not everyone wants to be a shinobi but going through the shinobi coursework gives you better job prospects.

    • Pretty decent episode. I really enjoyed the world building and the return of Kakashi's "Mr. Sukea" disguise.

    • Plus we get to relive Part 1 of Naruto with Kakashi being in charge of the graduation exams once again. :v

    • I noticed that before the opening, "Hako Kuroi", "Sayu Jouge", "Gen Katsugi", "Nitora Take" and "Jay Jay" was on Shino's Parent-Teacher conference schedule.

None of these characters have an article, so I advise some research on them and adding the pages.

      I never said I wouldn't

Why? They are characters in Boruto, we just don't know who has which name as of yet. There are many characters we've seen that so far has no name. My huess is that these were the names of the so far unnamed characters. Just a guess, but as far as I can see it's likely that the names refer to certain of the unnamed characters we've seen in previous episodes.

I liked it, both as a reference and the actual execution. I like that Kakashi still intends to strictly train students and never has grown soft in such departments, especially since he knows how badly it can go even for well-intentioned people.

Nelthro wrote: Why? They are characters in Boruto, we just don't know who has which name as of yet.

No, not really. So far they are just names. If an article is nothing more than a name and a reference to when we learned that name, there's no real point to it.

Few people ever know what they'll end up as. Most people i've talked to simply got there by circumstance.

Besides, being a mailman isn't that bad a job in such an environment. Safe, good hours. Better than being a child soldier.

Technically speaking, we do know more about them. We know that those are the names of students in Boruto's class and that they'll be taking the graduation exams. We can add trivia on their pages stating that, although we don't know which students these names belong to, we can be certain that we've likely seen them in several episodes by this point (including this one), specifically ones that revolved around activities in which the entire class participated.

It also helps that ninja training seems incredibly useful for delivering mail, as it allows you to get around the village much quicker than a regular mailman.

    • In regards to Boruto's classmates:
We have the names for all of them, and their voice actors too. What's difficult is to assign the voice actors to the characters. There are people online who've done that, but the legitimacy of it is questionable at best.

    • Because we're not creating articles for characters that we only have a name and a picture for. The entire article would just say "X is a classmate of Boruto". That's simply not enough content. Besides, we're not here to re-tell the anime and if an article only includes information that's obvious by watching the anime, then it doesn't really deserve to exist, anyway.

Face and name = article. That's how it's always been.

    • Well we know that -

Nitora Take - Is going onto the middle school curriculum.

Enko Onikuma - Is always seen wearing a large pair of gloves for some reason.

Hako Kuroi - Can control that freaky doll of hers like a puppeteer.

J.J. - Design clearly inspired by Japanese thug culture with his pompadour.

Gen Katsugi - Is planning to take over his family's business.

All of which is a lot more than we know about some Academy Student characters we have articles for.

    • I like how they are making up Mitsuki-Boruto friendship different from the typical Jiraiya-Orochi, Kakashi-Obito, Naruto-Sasuke friendship, Mitsuki is a more chill guy.

And alsolike the fact how they made Kiba look like a model for brands, just like Yamcha was given a star baseball player persona lmao

    • Honestly I can't wait to see the return of the bell training. Kakashi said that his test can be a bit hard. I'm figuring that means we'll see the return of the bell training. Anyone else excited to see that in action again after about a decade?

I've done all the research. From cross-referencing who's credited in what episode and who's clearly seen speaking. Each character bar one I have accurately pinpointed. The only exception is Sayū Jōge who is credited in both Episodes 12 and 25. In Episode 12 the screen is focus on two boys and Tora Buni (this new episode revealed her name), with Gen Katsugi already being credited in other episodes, thus leaving the remaining boy in red. However, in Episode 25 the Kakashi-wanna-be with the mask appears to credited as Sayū Jōge. In hindsight, it may be that the boy with the mask is in fact the one who was talking in Ep 12 just off screen. But here's all my work and research condensed into a neat little image. Feel free to ask me any questions.

Edit: Who Hako Kuroi and Nitora Take are I don't know yet as neither name has been mentioned in any credits thus far. If I had to guess Hako Kuroi would be either the boy with the tattoo on his face or whoever Sayū Jōge is not (red shirt or Kakashi mask) while Nitora Take could likely be the tan girl in the white hat as Nitora is an Indian name. However there's nothing to back this up yet.

Edit #2: So for some reason, the notification box at the top of the forum didn't show up saying I shouldn't upload images specifically for use in said forum... My bad. I don't know if I should remove the image or not as the it would be very useful to the creation of all these characters' articles instead of posting dozens of pictures with several captions... If the moderators wish the image to be removed, let me know and I'll remove it. I just to be of some help as my attentiveness to background characters tends to serve of no use most of the time.

It's not really that kind of fight though. Kakashi didn't pull out Chidori in the bell test either.

    • That's very true. But like I said before, maybe Kakashi has lost his touch after being away from missions for around 15 years.

The only reason why Kishimoto made her fat was because of how much she ate all kinds of dumplings. People occasionally poke fun at Anko that she'll get fat if she keeps eating as much dumplings as she does. And she was only as lean as she was likely because was frequently on missions. So that being said, since the end of the Fourth Shinobi World War she probably hasn't been nearly as active on missions especially after taking a position as an Academy instructor. But that's just a theory, a ... (I'll see myself out)
