  • I'm somewhat more convinced that Kagura is kinda Boruto's Gaara, just heavily toned down. In any case, seems like next episode is about Inojin and how drawing the Choju Giga in advance is a bad thing.

    • Well, it is funny how they referenced that day Himawari had her byakugan awakened. And Hinata's response wasn't very helpful xD

Well, that's actually an insteresting intrigue they've put into this episode. If Oro takes some actions soon, it opens the possibiliy for Mitsuki episodes explaning his past, i.e. an adapation of the Road Illuminated by the Full Moon oneshot.

    • This was a chill but really cool episode, but at the end not much development came through, but I am looking forward to Inojins spotlight episode and also if Orochimaru is plotting evil again or for the better this time.

    • This episode was pretty basic to be honest nothing much to think or talk about I'm guessing the next three upcoming episodes are going to focus one the Ino-Shika-Cho kids and families and I'm really excited about this hopefully tho once they're done with these episodes we can just move on to them graduating from the academy.

    • The most interesting and relevant part was Orochimaru's involvement with the whole thing, while the most heartwarming were Boruto doing the right thing and the grandma giving him the sweets.

    • Quite funny that boruto tried to lie his way out of it. Shows that he's still the pre-chunin kid he was in the movie in stead of the more post-exams shinobi he is in the Manga right now.

      EDIT:

Boruto: "She might kill me again with her Byakugan"
      Hinata: "That's right".
That's cold, hinata, that's cold. You smug hyuga you. I love it.

I thought it was somewhat uncharacteristic of him. We've seen before that he'd do anything to win and thought nothing bad of cheating or shortcuts.

Though it seems the Anime is setting it up more as a flipflop, IE he's a nice kid turned to desperating rather than a pampered kid who pushes his luck too far.

    • The only reason he cheated during the exams, was to impress his father and to 'win' since he would have lost otherwise. Yes, it seems Boruto has a kind heart and may opt to do the 'worse' thing for him if it means the right thing for others. I guess winning against the grandma by cheating would have felt bad.

He cheated with his game as well. I mean it's no huge deal since neither Manga nor Movie made it clear what kind of person he was without the pressure, i just expected him to go along with cheating.

Lol, but I mean at the end of the day he's still the son of Naruto and Hinata, with all the mischief naruto did he was pretty pure though, atleast by the end and also I think he was being honest maybe because he cares about himawari and making her happy by being dishonest would have made him feel a guilt.

I agree. The only thing I found good about it is Orochimaru. Wew, what's next? Orochi gonna perform some evil research? Sounds very Orochi.

That's probably the whole point, Boruto wanted to show he trained and improved so much that he's basically equal to Naruto (he never knew how powerful Naruto actually is), its the same ol' *notice me sennpai* concept boruto was going with

Except in this case it's not "Notice me, Senpai!" It's "Notice me, ya stupid Dad!"

I think Boruto's suspicious improvement with clones is what made naruto wonder if he was cheating in the first place. I mean he made a handful each time yet here he suddenly makes 20+

I think Naruto didn't 'suspect' it.He was impressed by Boruto's improvement. But he got suspicious with the thing that looked like the kote he saw before, in Boruto's hand.

It was the chunnin exams. And Sasuke was training him.Basically Ninja's improve drastically(especially prodigies like Boruto).Remember Sasuke's improvement?Improving your jutsus and chakra and such isn't gonna be that much of a suspicious act when the whole point of the battle and all was so they could train to improve lol.

And like I said.Naruto noticing the Kote was the only thing that gave it out.I think he's smart enough to know if it was too much clones(That would give out his act)But it seemed, it wasn't.

Anyways, about the episode.I don't think Oro's planning something evil. The anime obviously hints to that. But that's just to give it some thrill.Oro basically changed totally(Both by appearencs and personality)He doesn't even smile the evil creepy smile he does.It was an innocent happy smile he did with the mention suigetsu helping the kids. And thus foiling whatever plan he had.

    • It was most likely the number of clones, coupled with the fact that Boruto performed a 1 Handed Hand Sign (that was wrong) that tipped him off.

Boruto hid his Kote very well. In fact in the Movie Naruto asks Hinata to confirm it. Boruto had shown skill before, but nothing on this level. It seems to me Naruto suspected he was cheating when he used so many clones, and was looking for evidence since that point.

Not using single hand signs probably tipped him off. That's difficult even for Sasuke or Naruto or Kakashi for that matter.
