  • The group are armed and dangerous, and overpowering Chōjūrō?? Water Clone perhaps? Complete shocker that Shizuma took Samehada, and in other news, Buntan is the daughter of Raiga, making her at least 19?

    • I see a few ways this is gonna end.

      • A) Chojuro reveals that it's a water clone and proceeds to destroy them in a 1 vs 7.
      • B) Chojuro reveals that it's a water clone and proceeds to destroy them in a 1 vs 3, and Boruto / Sarada are saved by the arrival of either Chojuro or Mei. They then clean house.
      • C) Chojuro is actually stuck, and he's saved by the timely arrival of Mei / Suigetsu. They then proceed to destroy them in a 2 vs 7.
      • D) Chojuro is actually stuck, and he's saved by the timely arrival of Kagura, who was Talk-No-Jutsu'ed out of the coup. They then proceed to destroy them in a 2 vs 6.
      • E) Chojuro is actually stuck, and he's saved by the timely arrival of Boruto and Sarada, who have both defeated their respective opponents! They then proceed to have a 3 vs 3 where Chojuro is completely useless and Boruto / Sarada save the day!! /s
      • F) Boruto talks them to death!
      • G) Chojuro is actually stuck, and he's saved by the timely arrival of our one and only Naruto Uzumaki, the true protagonist of the series, who proceeds to show them true despair by knocking all 7 of them out almost instantly, saving Boruto, Sarada and his Kage buddy! You fools thought that because the title of the show had the name "Boruto" in it meant he was the protagonist?! Well I am delighted to inform you that the name "Naruto" is also in said title! Naruto is the hero we need, but not the hero we deserve!!

But I'm refusing to believe Chojuro is being overpowered. It's probably some sort of ploy. Right?

      RIGHT?

    • Chojuro's bleeding though, so it shouldn't be a clone.

    • ...RIGHT?

    • Chojuro better ends up trashing them heavily or i'll be very disappointed. Also it's BS that they will make Sarada defeat that girl who seems to be much older than her and who wields one of the more powerful blades. And she still has just 1 tomoe in her eyes.SMH.

    • So, let me get this straight. Raiga left his daughter for another child?

        Loading editor
    • She seems pretty salty about it.

        Loading editor
    • The one who should also trash these so called swordsmen probably should be not only Chojuro, but Suigetsu as well. They can be pretty powerful for their young age, but this episode has already demonstrated that these guys are mere brats.

True. We haven't seen where Mei is though, nor where Suigetsu and Mitsuki etc are, so it seems to me that Chojuro is simply playing the bait here and seeing what's actually up. IE why they chose to betray him etc.

Considering that all three charged at him with their blades yet the preview show him alive, it seems Chojuro is fending them all off with just his normal blade.

        Loading editor
    • Chojuro should be able to solo all of them, if he or Suigetsu aren't the ones to whoop them i'll be disapointed.

        Loading editor
    • I think it's time for the show to finally differentiate the discrepancy between ranks.

They've obviously never seen an actual Kage in combat, and are way too overconfident in their own mediocre abilities. They seem high-chunin level at best.

    • Lol, anime just gonna add in random kids and relatives for no apparent reason. Buntan being Raiga's daughter is random as hell.

Agreed, I wouldn't have minded if they were from the same clan, but all of them being directly related....

Also, these "new seven swordsmen" haven't even had their blades for a full day. I doubt they can use them to their full potential. Maybe Chojuro will give us insight on their possible weaknesses.

    • I disagree. I honestly don't mind them adding new characters relatives to old characters that died. At least it is not weird anymore for a character to die like it never had a family or without it having somebody to carry on on their legacy. Otherwise old characters would be like randomly spawned enemies.

I find this absolutely hilarious and I hope they someone make that canon.

"My dad left me to raise another kid."

"Wait what was wrong with you?"

      "I know rigth?!"

        Loading editor
    • I don't mind the new characters being the relatives of the old, famous ones, but I'm not sure how they can stay so devoted in their feelings to Kiri and the dream to return the "Bloody Mist" era despite the fact that these famous relatives of their were sceptical about this era or even betrayed it outright (like Zabuza, Kisame and Raiga). Plus, it's no wonder why their family names are wiped out from memorials, Bloody Mist ninja or not, but people like Zabuza and Raiga are still traitors who have gone rogue from the village.

        Loading editor
    • Shizuma's clan relation to Kisame is something more I prefer so I agree there. It's not a bad thing to add in relatives of relics but we've basically had all the infamous Kiri ninjas name dropped with some type of reference to them in someone. Yagura/Kagura, Shizuma/Kisame, Buntan/Raiga. The most natural connection is Shizuma.

        Loading editor
    • Meh. I really hope that Chojuro's gonna wipe the floor with every single one of them... they are only crybabies who took up the swords for the first time. It's already disappointing that Chojuro is being restrained by Hebiichigo.

However, I expect that we will several 1v1... what I think (and partially hope) we will see is:

      • Sarada vs Buntan - already set up
      • Boruto vs Kagura - pretty obvious, talk-no-jutsu
      • Iwabe vs Hassaku - reveng for what happened the first night of the field trip
      • Mitsuki vs Kyoho - as seen in the opening
      • Chojuro vs Shizuma - boss vs boss... hopefully Hiramekarei vs Samehada
      • Shikadai vs Hebiichigo - restraining wire vs kagemane no jutsu
      • Inojin vs Ichirota

The only one I strongly hope is happening is Chojuro vs Shizuma... because if it does not happen (and honestly I think is likey it will be a Kagura vs Shizuma), then probably Chojuro will do nothing for the whole fight.

      Some other comment:

      • Didn't liked the Raiga - Buntan relationship, both because I see it too forced and because by manga-canon Raiga is from Guy's father generation
      • I find almost all the swords dawn pretty badly, mainly Hiramekarei, Shibuki and Kubikiribocho
      • Am I the only one who thinks Samehada should have at least reacted a little by being hold by Shizuma?
      • Sadly, probably Suigetsu won't do anything

The vault was securely locked. Kagura had the key though.

    • I'm sure Chojuro has some kind of trick up his sleeve. If I were to guess, he first needed to see if they are actually willing to kill someone. If they had been shown hesitant about taking someone else's life, he would have treated them as children. Since they showed not to be, he isn't going to hold back.

I think that's pretty much 100% guaranteed. We saw set-ups with Suigetsu, Mitsuki, Shikadai and Inojin and even Mei, yet they didn't show up yet. So yea, i think Chojuro is simply investigating their motives etc and we'll soon get the cavalry charging in.

    • Well technically speaking he is the cavalry...

    • Man, those security robots or something should have came before the intruders get themselves a handful of village destructive weopens.Or else shouldn't they atleast make a measure strong enough to fight against those swords? It's like Naruto getting his forbidden Multiple shadow clone jutsu scroll all over again, lol.

Has anyone noticed Sarada talking? She said something like, she is disgusted by the act of the kage trying to think of killing Kagura( a boy who is emotionally/Mentally unstable, mostly because of his bloodline) for trying to start a rebellion.Saying that she'll never do that as a hokage.Interestinly, it matches to her clan history. That is the time when her clan got almost extinct for trying a rebellion, by someone who deems to be Hokage.

It seems to me they were designed against random intruders that may want to bruteforce their way to the swords. I think the Seven Swordsmen were called nationbusters before, so if the Mist had defensive puppets strong enough to defeat the Seven Swordsmen...why have swordsmen?

Besides, i think it's clear these kids trained with those weapons before since they handled them expertly. Considering Kagura's history with them, plus that this ninja group were known troublemakers, i think they simply locked the swords away for safety and cancelled the training.

      ?

If the Mist had puppets so strong that they could defeat even aspiring Swordsmen, why bother with swordsmen? Why not mass-produce those puppets and obtain an army far more powerful and numerous than seven people with overblown egos who have a tendency to defect.

        Loading editor
    • ...it was a joke... ;-;

But yes, that makes total sense. I don't even understand why every generation of swordsmen have overblown egos, especially at this point.

Should just replace them with automatic armored puppets/robots and call them the 7th Armored Puppet Division of the Hidden Mist.

Recruitment policy, mostly. It seems the Mist really doesn't care who wields those swords as long as they wield them. Konoha on the other hand seems to pick teams that force people to cooperate and thus learn to be better, while actively avoiding the worst.

Not that it always worked, but notably the Konoha bad guys all became disillusioned later. Unlike the Mist guys, who were basically a-holes from the start.

    • I wonder how this encounter would turn out if Sarada had the Mangekyo Sharingan.... But nah, she only has base Sharingan. I expect great things from you, Sarada. You either win in an epic way or lose dramatically.

        Loading editor
    • I want Sarada to show some good fight. I mean she doesn't have to win an epic way but like show her efforts in her training. Considering that she only awaken her Sharingan. And for Kagura and Boruto Im hoping they're gonna be a little fight but I think Boruto can still convince KAgura with talk no jutsu.

For Chojuro I guess for him he's like assessing the state mind of this so called new swordsmen. I mean as a mizukage who agreed with the alliance he has to solve it by understanding them. But honestly i'm a expecting a good fight with Shizuma with Kagura or even with chojuro just to show him or make him realize how crazy he is which in his opinion he was perfectly sane which I strongly disagree. LOLS

They are pretty strong for their age. But Zabuza's generation (The strongest) were all in their mid-20's, so the new generation would have a while to go before they got there too.

        Loading editor
    • The point is: they are not swordmen. They are just delusioned brats who thought that by stealing the swords they will became swordmen. They most probably never trained with the swords (see how Hassaku in episode 30 get tired after swinging Kubikiribocho two or three times)... the only one who may be called "swordman" is Kagura, but even him still has to train with his sword
