Important question: If Itachi uses genjutsu on one of the pains, wouldn't all of the other Pains (including Nagato) be affected since they all share the same eyes and the same mind and the same field of view? Especially considering the fact that Itachi specializes in visual genjutsu. So for instance if Itachi uses a strong enough genjutsu (like Tsukuyomi) wouldn't he pretty much defeat all 7 pairs of eyes at once?

This is also possible to be honest. But its unclear if Itachi can really pull that off. But i wouldn't put it past him. He would stil have to have genjutsu all 6 at a minimum, and I don't think the real nagato would be affected, but it won't matter because Itachi can just go home after he deals with the 6 pains. But yeah, we would need more information on how the pains are connected. We know nagato can control their bodies but we know he doesn't experience the same pain they do, he just can see the world through their eyes. Each body has its own chakra network, so in theory even if you tsukuyomi one of the pains the experience won't travel back to nagato himself.

Doesn't work that way, Jiraiya used genjutsu on 3 pains and only those 3 were affected.
Once he gets rid of the chakra absorbing one and the reviver he can Amaterasu the rest except Deva Path.
Thats the only one he may have a problem with.
Yes, but Jiraiya didn't use visual genjutsu. He used sound genjutsu. And the paths of pain do not share the same ears. But they do share the same eyes. So what a path sees, the other do too. Itachi is a visual genjutsu specialist.
Yes, but Nagato wasn't directly affected by Jiraiya's genjutsu. Only the paths who heared and were around the sound of the genjutsu got affected.
Same thing should apply to Itachi's genjutsu. Only the paths who would see Itachi's eye would get affected, right? But all the paths are visually link. So if one path looks in Itachi's eyes, techically all of them do. So even if Nagato wouldn't be affected directly, the other paths should be.
We dont know how the other Paths or Nagato were effected by the genjutsu. Once Jiraiya killed the 3, Ma and Pa more than likely stopped casting the genjutsu. There was a pretty decent amount of time between when the genjutsu was casted, Jiraiya killing them, and the appearence of the rest of the Paths

Genjutsu affects the brain, the eyes are just the medium through which it is cast. So the other pains won't be affected.
to win, itachi would have to be as strong as a bijuu dama, faster than the raikage, no blind or unsafe spots, and most importantly, a lotta chakra. he doenst have any of those though, and these are only the minimal requirements just to defeat he deva path. multiply this by six, and he loses times 6.
