Alright, let's go step by step...
1. Here's kanji of Hagoromo's nickname: 六道仙人, Rikudō Sennin.
2. 六道 literally means "six paths". It's Buddhist term for six realms that people will be reincarnated according to Buddhism. Six Paths of Pain(as well as Six Paths Technique) are named after these realms.
3.仙人, while literally meaning "hermit", can also mean "sage". Here's meanings of 仙人 according to Denshi Jisho:
Denshi Jisho wrote: 1: immortal mountain wizard (in Taoism); mountain man (esp. a hermit)
2: one not bound by earthly desires or the thoughts of normal men
Sounds like sage to me.
So yes, Rikudō Sennin does mean "Sage of Six Paths".
Have a good night, sir. (^_^)
@Munchvtec Probably using Google Translator or just Translator... Which is why I can't take this guy seriously.

Yea i checked, Google Translate (EN ->JA) gives Roku Pasu no sēji
EDIT: If you put the kanji into Translate it gives Rikudo Sennin with no further translation. So i guess it's more of a concept than a real name, isn't it?
Just for shits n giggles: (via Google Translate)
Considering the context, a "hermit of six paths" seems to be the most logical choice of words. Sage: having, showing, or indicating profound wisdom. So Sage of Six Paths makes sense.
How about we all ignore the troll, ya? :)
