I can honestly not understand how nobody has praised the episode even once until now. After how much everyone harped about terrible fillers, this one was just plain awesome.
Naruto moved away from Dark moments sometimes after shippuden, but this episode was a huge surprise. The brutality in which Karin's mother and then her were treated was very disturbing. Especially with how Karin slowly, but surely, realized how she was going to die even younger than her mother.
I liked this episode very much. Even if the Kaguya clan staying alive gave some timeline errors, its actually pretty plausible. I never understood how Itachi killed the WHOLE Uchiha Clan, or how ALL the members of various clans were killed in the Land of Water. A clan contains hundreds and hundreds of members. Some Uchihas had to have been in the Anbu, outside missions etc. A coincidence that they were all congregated? Maybe.
The Kaguya Clan were never specified to having been official members of Kirigakure's Army, so its likely that the clan was scattered throughout the Land of Water, maybe in small pockets. But after seeing just how strong Kimimaro was, its not totally outlandish to think that even twenty-thirty members of his clan could create problems.
I give this episode 5/5. Just my opinion.
the part about Uchiha's being in the Anbu didn't one of the episodes about Itachi kinda indicate that Itachi & Shisui were the only 2 Uchiha's to be apart of the anbu? otherwise I feel like the Coup d'état would of happened much earlier.. I could be wrong though.
