Databooks contain hastily gathered information for a quick profit (the real world revolves around money). I'm not a Sasuke fanboy, but thanks for the unwarranted and unwanted title. I'm not "uninformed," you're the one who doesn't seem to understand (or are unwilling to accept) the facts about the Sharingan. The Sharingan is overpowered, true, but it exists in the world of Naruto--that won't change. And combining Sasuke's speed with the Sharingan make him able to beat Neji. And I have read the previous posts, what do they have to do with anything?
Let's keep it nice and civil like Rachin123 kindly requested. Remember the topic at hand, please.

The main purpose of the databooks is to give us extra information regarding the series we all love and it's characters. So you cannot rule them out just like that. It may be true that Sasuke is faster than Neji in terms of movement speed but in terms of hand-to-hand combat speed Neji is incredibly fast, capable of simultaneously dodging and striking hundreds of small high-speed objects from all sides back-to-back. I do agree that a CML2 would beat Neji, but a base Neji vs base Sasuke? I think Neji wins.
Databooks are fine, they do offer a bit of insight about the characters. However, relying on them and citing them for each and every argument you make is kind of silly. They were meant to give a general feeling for the strength of a character. They don't really provide accurate data. And I understand that Neji's speed seems impressive, but any repetitive short distance motion can seem like more than it really is (you google chain punching). Sasuke can definitely dodge whatever Neji can dish out with his levels of speed.

I don't think he'd be able to dodge everything but for argument's sake, lets say he can. What then? He sure as hell isn't gonna try to use taijutsu against Neji, so the only other options would be genjutsu or ninjutsu. As far as I know, part 1 Sasuke didn't use genjutsu so that's ruled out. As for ninjutsu, he knows chidori and some fire techniques, all of which can be countered by rotation.

he dodged narutos attacks and contered them, why cant the same be said in this case? sharingan prediction will easily keep up with nejis punching speed...
How Sasuke will dodge Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, or Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms in the close fight? A close fight is inevitable, because Sasuke hasn't techniques which can hold at bay Neji.
Because Neji fights a lot smarter than Naruto. Naruto's basis of attacking (for part 1 at least) consisted of telegraphing a punch and being surprised when it didn't hit. Neji on the other hand, wouldn't waste any movements and can turn defence into attack a lot quicker and a lot better. Granted, Sasuke does have the sharingan, but as QuakingStar pointed out a lot earlier, the byakugan has the same basic tracking ability. The main difference is that the sharingan can see muscle movements. And given that Neji has trained with Lee and Guy for at least two years, he should be fairly used to high-speed attacks.
I think Neji wins. Since some people have problems with the DBs I will leave them out. Two tomoe Sasuke is as fast as a weightless Lee but couldn't follow a Tailless Naruto who Neji is just as fast as, therefore he is faster than Sasuke. Seeing as Sasuke doesn't use genjutsu that is out. A lot of Sasuke supporters are also discounting 64 palms thinking that Sasuke can/will dodge them. However seeing as each set of palms takes roughly a second to finish that means the technique only takes 6-7 seconds averaging at roughly 10-11 hits per second. So while he may dodge the first 2/3 sets, there is no way he is dodging them all since they get exponentially faster. And why do you guys think that Sasuke has Three Tomoes and CS2. This is if Neji showed up at the VotE instead of Naruto meaning Sasuke starts out as Chunin Exams Final Sasuke not VotE, which means that Neji sh*t stomps Sasuke into the ground easy. If he was going for the kill Sasuke dies within 10 seconds of him showing up. But since this was simply a retrieval mission Sasuke is meant to be alive so all he has to do is 64 palms Sasuke before he realizes what happened and drag him back to the village. Case closed.
