I know about them, but I still don't think he's alive. He would have be thousands of years old in order to be alive and Hagoromo couldn't even live that long. So it's still possible that his chakra incarnated throughout the years like Indra's and Asura's chakra did.
Guys guys guys! You are misunderstanding the transmigrance! It was said that Asura's and Indra's conflict was so big that their chakra transmigrated over generations to continue it, this has a base on the myth of "souls of dead people doesnt leave earth till they resolve something that ties them to their past lives".
What i mean with this is that the transmigration was caused by the "lack" of resolve, Hamura didnt had any major problem like that before dying(if he is dead) so he would not have any transmigrance at all.

The Senju and Uzumaki clans are distant blood relatives, so it makes complete sense that Asura's Chakra could go to an Uzumaki, since that would make them descendants of Asura as well. It never said specifically that it HAD to be a Senju, just a descendant of Asura. Granted, when we think of Asura's descendants, we think of the Senju lol.
On the original topic, while we can only speculate, I don't think Neji inherited Hamura's chakra. We know too little about Hamura himself to compare him to Neji. Also, Asura and Indra's chakra was only passed down throughout the ages because of the perpetual battle of hate they were intertwined in. We have been given no evidence to even think that Hamura would have had a similar situation, so I will have to say no.

That's basically what i said ._. You just repeated me ._.
Lol Sorry xP I didn't read through all of the comments, just wanted to put my two cents in xD
Plus I did work on that post for a while, doing a bit a research beforehand to make sure that I wasn't misinformed. You might of commented while I was double checking certain facts lol. Trust me, I re-wrote that post a few times due to facts I made sure to double check (mainly revolving around the Senju/Uzumaki thing).
We shouldn't assume much about Hamura.
Whether Hagoromo can do something or not, doesn't mean that Hamura is unable to do so as well.
For all we know, he could be stronger than Hagoromo.
Either way, Neji wasn't that big of a deal to be compared to Hamura, anyways... granted, he was strong... but not so much as to compare to Naruto/Sasuke/Madara/Hashirama.
So, it's possible that Toneri is Hamura's transmigrant... at least we know he's formidable.
That is by assuming that Hamura had some "unfinished business" until now, for Toneri to be his transmigrant, of course.
Well, tbh I want a transmigrant with the Byakugan if this is ever going to happen ... This dojutsu has so much potential and it wasn't explored nearly as much as the other 2 great dojutsu ... So, imo, Toneri is out of the question cause of his depiction w/o the All Seeing White Eye ...
