Who's stronger? Kakashi or Guy?

  • Now that Kakashi has a stabalized Susanoo like Madara and Sasuke, I think it's safe to say that he's stronger than the five Kage. Also, when Guy opened the 8th gate of death, he was also stronger than the five Kage. Yes, Guy was able to damage Madara as the TT jinchuuriki a lot, but Kakashi was able to damage Kaguya with his Kamui Raikiri. So who do you guys think is stronger? Which side would you pick if they fought?

    • The guy who injured a god.

Funny, technically both of them did injure a person with god-like power... but Kaguya is a god if you wanna get more technical, but you also said "the GUY..." hmm... I don't know, I'm fence-sitting here...

    • Madara was toying with Guy. and let him hit him to see what he was made of. Guy would be obliterated by Kaguya. with kamui and perfect susanoo kakashi is now better

    • As much as I love me some Kakashi and respect the hell out of Guy... I'm still stuck in the middle...

    • If Guy doesn't open the eight gates Kakashi would beat him. But if Guy does open the eight gates, he is stronger but Kakashi could pass through his attacks. Guy would eventually wear out.

So if they were to fight Kakashi would probably win.

    • Kakashi, because of his overpowered Kamui. Without it, Guy, hands down. Good question though.

Despite this, I'd would WAAAYYY rather watch Guy fight, because of explosions n'stuff. :D

    • Guy's main form of attack is to physically touch his opponents with a kick, punch, or a knee, seeing how Kakashi can warp through solid objects I don't think Guy could literally even touch him. Plus Guy's strongest attack literally kills him after he uses it without Naruto's healing abilities.

    • ya kakashi would win now. that being said, madara was unfathomably strong when guy fought him. and guy did almost kill him. there both insanely powerful

        Loading editor
    • Guy almost killed him, and if it weren't for Naruto Guy would have died, and Kakashi can also open the eight gates, so if they had both opened the eight gates I still believe Kakashi would win.

No, you're at a misunderstanding. Kakashi can't open all eight gates like Guy can. He can open at least one.

    • Even so, I still believe Kakashi would win, Kamui, Susanoo, his copied jutsu, his ninken, and his vast knowledge of many different techniques and jutsus, I just don't see Kakashi losing.

    • If there was some way to give Guy Sage powers to incredibly slow down the process of deterioration in his cells and tissue. I would put my money on Guy. This dude distorted time for a min with air alone...pfft..just amazing. If you think Kakashi can even think to catch him...naaaaaaa. I already know what your thinking Kakashi can just slip throw his attacks. By the time Kakashi is activating Kamui Guy will have ran up on him and snatch his eyes out lol. I choose speed over power anyday. This is my humble opinion though.

As of now, Kakashi is definitely stronger than five Kages, if not equal.

KAKASHI: injured Kaguya and disabled her arm, injured Kaguya's rabbit Shinju form, two MS: makes Perfect Susanoo, ultra broken Kamui, able to infuse it into weapons to instantly warp target/damage it. High intelligence.

FIVE KAGE: struggle against Madara and defeated, who did not have any powerups (even though Edo Tensei but still). Raikage only knows how to use lightning armor and punch while screaming, easily countered with long range and Susanoo. Tsuchikage has pretty powerful Dust Release but useless against Rinnegan (Preta Path) or Kamui (warp it away). Kazekage can control sand but not good against Susanoo nor for sealing, also cannot stand to Madara in close range combat due to stationary fighting style. Mizukage has two Kekkei Genkai but again ineffective against Susanoo. Hokage has medical abilites=super durable but is not really a fighter, super strength doesn't help if not fast enough.

Overall the battle instincts of the Kage are lower than the genius of Kakashi. Not only can he formulate a plan in a short while, he also has the dexterity to carry it out. Given his recent powerups, it is safe to say that he would stand a chance against normal Madara at the very least.

I don't know, I think Kakashi as of now would win by a lot. Kakashi vs Onoki: Dust Release gets Kamui'ed and Onoki loses like a quarter of his chakra. Kakashi would win with Susanoo and Kamui alone.

    • The five Kage had no chance against Perfect Stabilised Susanoo. Sasuke and Kakashi have that. He now has all of Obito's Sharingan abilities as his own including intangibility. He can use Kamui Shuriken and is fast enough now to run right through Kaguya and she couldn't stop him because of his intangibility. Kakashi is now above the 5 Kage. They would die against him. Gai has no chance of beating him at all now, 7th/8th gate is the only way he will be able to keep up and maybe hit kakashi.

Exactly. Don't forget he has some of the Six Paths Power as well. It isn't "opinionated," Kakashi is more powerful than the 5 Kage. Back to the topic, people do forget that Guy is extremely fast as well. The only thing that could counter Kamui was flat out speed (such as Minato vs. Tobi, or Madara's TSB being fast enough to prevent Obito from teleporting). Yes, Kakashi can become intangible, but not for forever. And he hasn't shown the ability to apply the intangibility to his Susanoo. I wonder what Kakashi's Susanoo vs Guy's Evening Elephant and Night Guy would look like...

Ummm... you don't think we know that? We're judging from strengths here, not necessarily limitations. For example, in Kakashi's case, what would happen if he can't become intangible (because of exceeding the time limit of 5 minutes)? Then what Guy does to Kakashi's Susanoo is relevant (technically, Guy would have to break through the Susanoo, then deal with an intangible Kakashi).

    • Im not sure that Kakashi could keep up with guys speed, even with his Kamui. When Minato fought Obito during ninetails attack he was able to out manuever Obito's Kamui phase through techniques. Not saying guy is anywhere near Minato's speed or skill but with the 8 gates open he would pose a very real threat! Anyway those are my thoughts. Cool discussion! I would say Guy is stronger on any regular day, but after Kakashi got both sharingan and all the abilities of Kamui I don't see him losing this.

So this is how it goes.

Kakashi could go intangible but its all a matter of timing. He has susanoo but Guy has his power and speed. It's kind of hard to tell cuz they both have great skills and abilities.

Well, strangely enough, Madara opted not to use Limbo vs. Guy.

Throughout the Evening Elephant technique, Madara had the notion that Guy wouldn't be able to hit him. You know how that turned out, at least for the first four punches. The final one had been set up a defence for, that of in the Truth-Seeking Balls. Of course, the Uchiha thought that it wouldn't be teleported away. In a nutshell, Madara most likely thought the need of the shadow as excessive. And c'mon, using the Truth-Seeking Balls already denotes the fact that he didn't want to be hit by Guy directly. Using Rinbo I'd say is less of a defence, and a lot more of a makeshift one, being the ideal in per say prompt engagements.

Would'nt the damage dealt on the shadow recoil back on the real Madara? And why does Madara call it a shadow?!

Well, that's the question. Is Guy fast enough?

He might be, but I think Kakashi's reflexes would be fast enough to anticipate it. Reflexes don't mean he can act in time, though. It's tough. Kakashi's gonna be really hard to hit, but Guy's basically a one-hit kill.

        Loading editor
    • Guy was fast enough to overwhelm Madara, the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki. But one doesn't solely need speed to win, it is also a matter of strength, which Guy showed that he has plenty. Guy almost killed Madara, which is proof of how powerful he is when using Eight Gates Released Formation. I'm not sure Kakashi would be able to do the same kind of damage to Madara, so talking about raw strength, Guy wins. Now, I wonder if he is fast enough to touch Kakashi before he uses Kamui, because let's face it, Kakashi is done once he is touched either by Evening Elephant or by Night Guy.

        Loading editor
    • @NeedleJizo you mean Kakashi's Sharingan would be fast enough to anticipate Guy's speed. @Tudor iPhone are you implying that Guy would easily breakthrough Kakashi's Susanoo? Because you forgot to mention that Kakashi has that alongside Kamui. If it were solely Guy vs Kakashi w/o Susanoo, you have a point. In actuality, remember that Kakashi is a Susanoo user as well.

    • So, about the topic. I think that Kakashi's perfect Susanoo would slow down Guy's attack just enough for Kakashi to activate Kamui and phase through it. If Guy opened his eighth gate, I feel like this would happen:

Kakashi activates Susanoo while Guy opens Eighth Gate. Guy throws his first Evening Elephant Punch, which is slowed down by Susanoo long enough for Kakashi to activate intangibility. Guy keeps it up with Evening Elephant, throws the last direct punch, and phases through Kakashi. As he sets up to do Night Guy, Kakashi uses his double speed Mangekyou teleport to Kamui Dimension (it was fast enough to avoid Madara's attack, so I think that while Guy takes his stance, Kakashi could do it). Then Kakashi waits it out in Kamui Dimension til Guy burns out.

No disrespect, but that would be bogus and cheap for anyone in the battle to leave the battlefield to go to Kamui's dimension. Whether it be Kakashi going there or him teleporting Guy there as a panic move. Please, let's have the battle on one battlefield. Kakashi can still phase through things, but I want more of a head to head battle rather than the leaving and appearing strategy Obito has used so much...

    • I'd say so. It'd be a cheap move for Kakashi.

        Loading editor
    • That make Kakashi look weak.

      Fight to the death!

        Loading editor
    • How is that? He can freaking go intangible anytime he wants and got susanoo plus I honestly don't care if Kakashi teleports. It's all if he can teleport Guy who is fast and with gates rather he has the sharingan we even make it hard for him to keep up with not saying he'd lose but I'm not saying he wins. There's too many obstacles to come about for both of them.

        Loading editor
    • I agree, it'd be pretty cheap and stupid if Kakashi did it. I'm just saying one way he could win in a fight to the death, and Kakashi would probably do what he had too.

In any case, Kakashi might either Kamui one of Guy's legs away, Kamui Shuriken one of them away, or Kamui Raikiri one of them away. Guy, without his mobility, I think would definitely lose.

Of course, Guy is still insanely powerful with 8 Gates, so I'm not sure if I'm not being biased for Kakashi. He's my favourite character. But I do think he would win this, but it'd be very close.

        Loading editor
    • I'm gonna say Guy would win. With Kakashi's power up I think him and Guy are about equals if Guy uses all eight gates again. Guy is insanely fast with the eight gates, so I think he can dodge Kakashi's Kamui Shuriken. And Kakashi's intangibility is pretty much the only thing keeping him safe from Guy's attacks since I'm pretty sure Guy's attacks while using all eight gates is more than enough force to break through Kakashi's Susanoo, much like Tsunade did to Madara's with her brute strength. Not to mention Guy's final attack distorts space which might come in handy.

Overall I think Guy wins this one, but him and Kakashi are more or less equals.

    • I've considered Gai stronger ever since he showed off Hirudora. Kakashi had no legitimate defence for that when it was shown, and he had no defence until he acquired Susanoo, which is likely temporary, and even with it, and I hate saying this, Eight Gates Guy still stomps him. He dies afterwards, but he wins as much as one can win using a murder-suicide tactic.

You do realize that Kakashi could just phase through, right? There's no stomping, it'll be a tough and close one.

Kamui intangibility has a 5 minute time limit. Kakashi could just stand and do nothing, but he'd get destroyed immediately after. And he if he did fight back against 8G Gai, he'd get blitzed.

Kakashi's only option against Gai is to stay intangible. If he tries to teleport or fight back, he has to solidify, at which point he gets destroyed.

His only option? Meh. Guy would probably knock down Kakashi's Susanoo, not sure about him totally destroying it like you're stating but... that's your opinion. Interesting.

    • I'm going to have to say Kakashi would definitely win in a fight. Guy can't use (or hasn't shown any skill in) any ninjutsu, genjutsu, fuinjututsu, kuchiyose, or ninja tools. He also lacks bloodline limits and comes from a line of minor ninjas. Kakashi has the advantage with his overpowered mangekyo abilites (susanoo, kamui, intangibility, foresight, copying) and incredible ninjutsu abilties (Raikiri, shadow clones, rasengan, etc.). This is not to mention his genjutsu, kuchiyose, ninja tool proficiency, healing jutsu, tracking abilities, and his inherited power from his father who was a highly proficient ninja.

    • the limit was 5 minutes pre sage chakra and only when he Obito had one eye. It's a most probable case that it is at least 10 minutes now with the different power ups kakashi has.

Well Kakashi has tunneled through the ground before. I'm sure he could just burrow so the technique wouldn't hit him anyways.

    • This battle could go anyways. IMO perrfect susanoo for Kakashi was unnecessary nevermind susanoo but he got it so whatever. I really like Kakashi but I know very well that power up was a definite ass pull.

    • Yeah. The power came out of nowhere. Though it still is absolutely glorious

Yea, I just wanted Kakashi to have both Kamui and that was it. The Susanoo was a bit much (yes it was an asspull, Rachin), but it was still glorious, and made the chapter euphoric. The Susanoo didn't come out of nowhere, Kakashi stated the Rikudou's power made his eyes stronger, and able to withstand a Perfect Susanoo without the blindness. But it was still a huge surprise.

    • I meant him getting that power not how he got it. And like I said I like Kakashi. One of my favorite characters. It was cool but glorious not for me. It completely like here's another unnecessary power up no offense but Kaskashi's still cool with me.

    • Against Kaguya I wouldn't call that power up unnecessary she is pretty much a god.

    • I meant now that Kakashi has it people are like oh he destroys him. Like its opinion but for all we know it won't last and after she's gone and the world of Naruto is safe enough his upgrade will be unnecessary. It doesn't seem right. Two sharingan/ms and kamui fine but I don't think he should that much mastery over it to keep the susanoo. Than it makes you wonder will he also get tsukuyomi and amaterasu. It would unnecessary for him to keep it IMO. He already was great and with both eyes and hopefully the ability to maintain is good but it'd be a total power up as it already is but for no good reason. Kamui I love!

    • I just hope Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi lose the Six Paths Sage power given to them. Nobody but a Ten-Tails Jinchuriki/Kaguya/Hagoromo/most likely Hamura/Indra/Ashura should have it. The rest got diluted(being descendants) for a reason.

        Loading editor
    • I also hope Naruto loses the other tailed beasts and only keeps Kurama.

        Loading editor
    • Exactly I agree.

        Loading editor
    • BUT, if he loses ALL the tailed beasts, and uses the Yin Power to save his own life and then loses the yin power and six paths power, that would be great too because then he we would have to rely solely on his own skill and powers alone such as sage mode.

        Loading editor
    • but that is wishful thinking..

        Loading editor
    • If that is so and I wouldn't mind Sasuke would lose the other half but wouldn't Sasuke lose the new rinnegan upgrade. We haven't even see the show off of it but I'm sure there is something great about it. I think it only seems fair if Naruto loses the tailed beasts even kurama they should take it away. These upgrades all of them got is the face the ultimate evil they happened to god like but it'd be irrational for them to keep it. It wouldn't seem right at all.

    • He was given Hashirama's chakra, and I'm positive Kabuto used Hashirama's cells on Sasuke to heal him, repairing his heart. Why else would they even bother mentioning the study of Hashirama's cells being used with Sasuke? So I'm 99% sure Sasuke would keep the Rinnegan either way.

    • But Naruto would still have Senjutsu and Sage Mode. So I would love to see that fight. Sasuke with only his own natural Rinnegan, vs Naruto with only his Senjutsu and Sage Mode.

You forgot that Hashirama gift to Sasuke was his chakra.Chakra Transfer Technique in Chapter 661

Senjutsu and Sage Mode are same thing.

    • No, Orochimaru can use Senjutsu without Sage Mode how do you explain that?

      True.

That why he can go to sage mode. Sasuke body could work because link to one of the Path sons.

    • Naruto will keep Kurama, that's basically a given.. so he would still have Sage Mode Combined Kurama-Link Mode

No they aren't. You can have senjutsu chakra without Sage Mode, but not Sage Mode without senjutsu chakra. For example, Jugo can use senjutsu chakra through Sage Transformation, but he isn't a Sage nor can use Sage Mode due to the fact that he hasn't trained with senjutsu chakra. Or how about Madara when he took senjutsu chakra from Hashirama? He wasn't in Sage Mode, technically the face on his chest was, Madara was just using the senjutsu chakra.

Why are we not talk about Kakashi vs Guy?

Good point. Because you brought up the subject of Senjutsu and Sage Mode? Back to the point, I cannot wait for this hypothetical matchup to occur in a Naruto Shippuden video game. Doesn't seem like these "OP" powers gained by Naruto, Sasuke, Madara, Guy, Kakashi, etc. in the manga will appear in Naruto Shippuden UNS Revolution. Possibly years away, but I can't wait to use each those characters' powers in a future video game, especially Kakashi and Guy!

    • Judging from the demo, Kakashi's moveset got a major overhaul. And it's about damn time! They barely changed anything from the first Storm game.

I always thought that Part 1 Kakashi should activate his Sharingan in his awakening, and for Part 2 he should always have his Sharingan out, but activate the Mangekyo for his awakening. Looks like that's exactly what they did! He's finally getting the badassery he deserves.
