The Various Mangekyō Sharingan

  • Say you could choose one between ALL the pairs of Mangekyō Sharingan to keep, and wield in battle (all Mangekyō's will be their respective eternal ones).

Itachi has shown proficiency with three techniques; Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo (which wields the Sword of Totsuka and the Mirror of Yata).

Sasuke narrows it down to Amaterasu and Susanoo, while his manipulation with the flames is far beyond what we've seen from Itachi, through Blaze Release, and has even show the two being used in conjunction effectively.

And well Madara, his pair is pretty much his Susanoo, which is very powerful and large.

Obito has Kamui, and a winged Perfect Susanoo.

And there's also Indra's and Shisui (the latter's Kotoamatsukami cannot be spammed though, and still would have its previous cooldown).

    • Kamui, easy.

    • What he said.

    • It's between Koto Amatsukami and Kamui for me.

If I had Koto Amatsukami, I could easily just look at someone and make them end the fight, or kill themselves, or make give me their credit card information. We've seen that Danzo was able to use it without even taking his bandages off, and so far it doesn't look like using the technique makes the user's eyes bleed.

Kamui, but only if it's both eyes. I can warp you away and you can't hit me, bro!

    • Okay, how about between Itachi's, Sasuke's, and Madara's?

        Loading editor
    • Sasuke. His Susanoo is the most versatile we've seen so far, constantly evolving, becoming more formidable and gaining more abilities. and his Amaterasu only keeps getting better. I seriously lost my shit when he put it on a Rasen-Shuriken. He's shown both long and short-range proficiency with it, and his genjutsu, while not on par with Itachi's, is still pretty effective.

Itachi's Sword of Totsuka could seal away anything, but he only used it twice and both of them were lucky shots. His Yata Mirror was said to be able to deflect any attack by changing its nature, but he never showed the ability. Safe to say, he was only decent with Susanoo and his Amaterasu was alright as well, even though it got countered pretty much every time he used it (Sasuke shedding his skin, Nagato using Shinra Tensei). His Tsukuyomi is unmatched, but you don't have time to stop and give your opponent lover eyes in the middle of a battle. Plus, it looks like his eyes bled more often than anyone else's.

Madara's only been shown using Susanoo, and while his is the most intimidating, it looks to be the most easily penetrated. Gaara was able to pull him out of it, and if we're gonna count Storm 3, Tsunade and A were able to crack it with brute force.

    • I would pick Sasuke because like Needlejizo said he's more versatile and even though his Tsukuyomi is weak, it still can be improved in time.

        Loading editor
    • I would pick Kamui, Current Kakashi. He has perfect Susanoo and both Kamui mastered. Extremely dangerous.

        Loading editor
    • i would pick itachi'susanno.with the sword of totsuka,i could seal d strongest of them all and with yata mirror,i could nullify and deflect any attack by changing its nature.trully powerful.

    • I'd pick Sasuke's EMS.

Susanoo is my all time favorite technique, and his is just glorious to behold. Plus I'm somewhat of a pyromaniac and I could really have some fun with Amaterasu.

IKR? Susanoo is awesome. Amaterasu too. The Kamui and Susanoo combo is pretty lethal too though...

    • Kamui.

If only because I can take out one eye and keep it forever with no fear of going blind and be broken as all hell.

Susanoo, Amaterasu all that jazz is overrated when I could just phase through literally everything.

I find your lack of violent tendencies disturbing.

    • Well, lemme elaborate on why I'd choose Obito/Kakashi's eyes.

Flying Susanoo with awesome scar on its eyes.

Warping to my own dimension with my lady friend.

Telling someone I got their nose, then warping it away.

      Intangibility.

They look the coolest to me.

Lol the question asks which I would rather have, but Why would I need super combat nonsense when there's nothing in our world to fight? In any case, Kamui beats Amaterasu anyways. Kamui is a powerful combat technique. Kakashi took an arm from the statue thing that I can't spell with it. Then Madara himself acknowledged Kakashi's eye. But I'd mostly take Obito's/Kakashi's eyes for the first list of reasons.

    • what if I tell you...a totsuka yata equipped winged susanoo that can phase through anything...

    • Itachi's Susanoo doesn't have wings, hell it doesn't even have legs. Its weaponry is too slow for it to take effect; the sword can be easily dodged from what I've seen and the shield only blocks. Besides, unless you work for the military or something, why would you use a Susanoo anyways? Too much collateral damage

Personally I would pick Obito's eyes. Super broken ability to make anything disappear or store things in the Kamui dimension or just walk through anything? So many battle and everyday uses, a definite yes.

    • Obito's Mangekyou; I don't need the Susanoo, when I die I could give it to Ten Tailed Fox. :p (for your violent tendencies) I just need his Kamui, both eye-style.

      Or:

Shisui's Mangekyou; Koto-Amatsukami is a powerful genjutsu type jutsu. I still want the option of using it regularly, not just once in a decade.

    • Kamui would about do it for me along with my own capabilities. Susanoo is cool but an overpowered thing and can take a big toll I just won't accept. Amaterasu is good but I could care less for it. Tsukuyomi, well I'm not really a fan of genjutsu. I'd rather fight instead of take the easy way out. Izanagi is cool but costly for your eye so no I'm fine. As for blaze release its completely stupid to be a kekkei genkai. He's controlling black flames its a kekkei genkai. That's stupid. So when he shoots black flames its not a kekkei genkai. I found that stupid. But I'll take kamui.

      Why?

Because it is of the majority of the choices.

I also feel as if without the abrupt Perfect Susanoo, the unique dojutsu was already OP. Kishi should have left the eyesight-deterioration rule-defying eyes with Kamui and Kamui alone. Susanoo is too much for me. :/

And when you think about it, it was VERY unforeseen, as it could have made its debut earlier, when Obito died by the ash killing bone whatevers. It wasn't even the skeletal form too. It was a PERFECT freaking Susanoo.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

    • Well Kamui is overrated but no more than Susanoo and Amaterasu. People say things like Susanoo is so durable you have to be kages level to break it. Amaterasu is instant you have to move light speed to dodge it and its as hot as the sun so you'll be imcenerated like that. Kamui is simple intangibility in a way which can countered with timing and reaction. Its takes time for teleportation of kamui around 5 seconds. Those two and even Tsukuyomi are badass techniques but definitely overrated. Some people forget the smaller things can sometimes prove the strongest.

Lol, ye. I was being facetious too.

    • On second thought, I'd like Kamui myself. Not so much for the intangibility, but the ability to just appear anywhere I like and scare the shit out of people? Oh, that would be most enjoyable.

Yea, but the only thing that bugs me is that Kakashi was so prone to the drawbacks of the over utilization of the eyes in the beginning, to make the plot be what it is, whereas Obito was using it like he was a minigun. And then, during the war, Kakashi started to alleviate the limitations without proper training, and then started spamming it like Obito, of course to be of convenience to the plot. THAT is what irritates me about those eyes. AND THEN you get an automatic Perfect Susanoo to resort to, should your intangibility be for some reason unavailable. Had Obito kept both his eyes, he would have been untouchable. They truly are cheat eyes :P

In fact, it is arguably more powerful than Madara's, Sasuke's, and even Hagaromo's rinnegan.

    • In my Left eye I would have Kotoamatsukami & Body flick(Shisui). In my right eye Sasuke's EMS, with a senju body of course...Pure Ownage....

    • Shisui... I mean, susanoo/kamui is great and all, but Shisui has some really weird and awesome abilities. I'll stick with his. Besides, I prefer his sharingan-design.
