Changes: The Results of Training

"The Results of Training" (修行の成果, Shugyō no Seika) is episode 3 of the Naruto: Shippūden anime.

Synopsis

Naruto, though Kakashi hasn't officially started the test yet, begins attacking Kakashi with his shadow clones to catch Kakashi, who has his Sharingan activated, off-guard. Jiraiya, Tsunade, Shizune who are shown watching the bell test, as well as Kakashi, have seen Naruto's improvement with its timing. Naruto's attempt to catch Kakashi off-guard fails and Kakashi officially started the test.

Sasori and Deidara easily enter Sunagakure after Yūra, Sasori's spy killed the guards on the entrance. Creating a large clay bird as transportation, Deidara proceeds to find the jinchūriki of Shukaku, Gaara.

Kakashi begins to attack using taijutsu, and he (as well as Jiraiya, Tsunade and Shizune) notes Naruto and Sakura's improvement as team. Deidara manages to incapacitate the scouts who watched the skies above Sunagakure with his explosive clays. Meanwhile, Naruto and Sakura are able to release themselves from genjutsu. Kakashi realises that his old tricks won't work anymore. Back to Sunagakure, Gaara finally faces Deidara, who thought that his infiltration was successful.

Before Kakashi even has a chance to say go Naruto attacks by throwing some [[Shuriken]] at Kakashi, Kakashi cunters with his own, but Naruto uses his [[Shadow Clone Technique|shadow clone jutsu]] to get out of the way and uses another one to get behind Kakashi. -As the battle continues Kakashi begins teaching Naruto and Sakura about [[Taijutsu]]. Sakura and Naruto are working excellently as a team, but they still can't hit Kakashi. Naruto creates a lot of shadow clones which he sends after Kakashi, and as usual Kakashi is amazed by just the sheer number of them. He manages to destroy them using Lee's technique, the [[Reverse Lotus|Primary Lotus]]. As soon as Kakashi had landed on the ground, the real Naruto jumps out from behind a bush and tries to get revenge for the first time they fought. Naruto attempts to use a thousand years of death on his teacher, but Kakashi dodges. It then hits Kakashi how easy it had been to defeat them before. He wants to end it quickly so he can get back to his book.
