Summary

Chiyo's assault on Kakashi was stopped when her brother tells her to look closer. Apparently mistaken as Kakashi bears resemblance to the White Fang of the Konohagakure, Kakashi's father, Chiyo alibies that she just pretended to be senile. Sakura begins her examination of Kankurō and discovers that the poison in his body is one that destroyed the cells after infiltrating the muscles. Meanwhile, Akatsuki continues their extraction of Shukaku from Gaara's body. Sakura, on the other hand, succeeds in extracting the poison from Kankurō's body cells.

Team Guy is sent as reinforcements. Kankurō regains consciousness, and informs the group that he took a piece of the enemy's clothing with which they could use to track them. Sakura is able to administer an antidote that should clear up any residual poison inside Kankurō's body.
