Synopsis

Having advanced his training enough to form a usable attack, Naruto prepared his new jutsu. Although Kakuzu was able to avoid the attack for a while, Naruto was ultimately able to strike him with it, destroying his remaining hearts and thus ending the battle. As the Konoha ninja returned home, elsewhere, Sasuke decided that he had learned all he could from Orochimaru. Uninterested in giving Orochimaru his body, Sasuke tried to kill him, although Orochimaru was still able to initiate the body-stealing process. However, through the use of his Sharingan, Sasuke was able to turn the process around, and absorbed Orochimaru into his own body. Freed from Orochimaru's control at long last, Sasuke began recruiting ninja who he had deemed essential in his plan to kill his older brother, Akatsuki member Itachi Uchiha. After recruiting Suigetsu Hozuki and Karin, he began searching for the final member of his team, Jugo.
