"The Fourth's Battle to the Death!!" (四代目の死闘!!, Yondaime no shitō!!) is chapter 502 of the original Naruto manga.

Summary

As Madara moves towards Konoha, several characters feel the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox presence, including Kakashi, The Third Hokage, and Itachi. Madara, then summons the Fox causing chaos. The Third organizes Konoha to battle the fox, while wondering how Kushina's seal broke, despite all the precautions. Minato enters Konoha, on Hokage Monument, causing the Nine-Tails to sense him and fire a Nine-Tailed Fox Menacing Ball at him. Minato counters the blast with a Time-Space Barrier sending the blast behind Konoha, alerting the village of his presence. Minato is ambushed by Madara, who tries to send Minato away. Minato quickly using the Flying Thunder God Technique escapes. Madara follows after him, Minato realizing that Madara's strength and knowledge is too abnormal questions if Madara is truly Madara Uchiha, but states it is impossible, as Madara Uchiha is dead. With Madara state, " Well, who knows." Minato realizing with Madara's justu superior to his own, his ability to control the Nine-Tails, Madara is too dangerous to be left alive. Minato also realizing the battle comes down to speed. They charge towards each other, Minato throws a Space-Time Kunai only to have Madara phase through it and then form a Rasengan. Madara grabs Minato's shirt, thinking he has won, only have Minato disappear and reappear over Madara striking him with the Rasengan
