Konan lives for the last few memories of life with Jiraiya and his students and dies while having a red paper soaked in her blood fly back to their hideout to show that she has returned home with Yahiko and Nagato. Meanwhile, Tobi changes his outfit and declares it's time to capture the [[Nine-Tails]].

"The Bridge to Peace" (平和への懸け橋, Heiwa e no Kakehashi) is episode 253 of the Naruto: Shippūden anime.


Summary

Konan encloses Tobi in a chasm with a large amount of explosive tags that detonates in a wide area. Tobi, however, manages to survive the assault by sacrificing his left eye to use Izanagi, after which he appears behind a shocked and exhausted Konan and stabs her with a metal pipe. Noting that it was a favour to a former comrade, Tobi explains his technique to Konan. Konan refuses to give up and continues to fight Tobi. Tobi manages to subdue her and places Konan inside a genjutsu to force her to reveal the location of the Rinnegan. Tobi travels to the location and retrieves Nagato's corpse and then takes his leave. Trivia
