Team Minato was a team headed by the future Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze. In the Kakashi Gaiden arc, set during the Third Great Shinobi World War, the team goes to Kusagakure and destroys the Kannabi Bridge to cut off supplies for Iwagakure. Obito is killed during the mission. It is unknown what happens to the team after that, but Kakashi remains the only surviving member.

- Despite Kakashi Gaiden being told during the gap in time between Part I and Part II of the manga, a team photo can be seen on the cover of chapter 16.
- The members of the team have some similarities to the members of Team 7.
