Team Kakashi, Deployed (出撃、カカシ班, Shutsugeki, Kakashi-Han) is episode 8 of the Naruto: Shippūden anime.

Synopsis

As Team Kakashi sets out for their mission, Yurika, a decoder heads to decode the message about what has happened in the Sunagakure. Deidara heads off before Kankurō can do anything, so he must contend with Sasori. Black Ant emerges from the sand and propels Sasori into the air. When Sasori's captured by Black Ant, Kankurō prepares to use his Black Secret Technique Machine One Shot. Team Kakashi receives their mission: coastal transport convoy, and as expected, Naruto turns it down. This easily infuriates the others, but before anything can be accomplished, the decoder enters and delivers word about the message from the Suna. Team Kakashi's mission is to find out anything and assist the Suna in any way they can. Black Ant opens and Sasori dissolves into sand. He makes light work of Kankurō's puppets, but when smoke bombs are shot at him, he still doesn't put effort into fighting back. Kankurō attacks with his Poison Mist Hell: Hundred Continuous Hell. Still, Sasori survives and his tail shoots forward, but it's blocked by Salamander, a puppet that has the strength of an iron wall (which would explain how Kankurō and some of the others survived that rock slide from earlier). But as Sasori points out and exposes for himself, Salamander has a weak spot. It turns out that the creator of all three puppets is none other than Sasori of the Red Sand himself, the very same. Sasori shoots his tail at Kankurō and injects the poison in him. Kankurō soon collapses due to the poison spreading throughout his entire body and blacks out. At the gate of Konoha, Jiraiya tells Naruto not to use "that technique" before heading off.
