Team Guren is formed upon Orochimaru's orders, consisting of prisoners that survived a battle royale. Guren leads them and Yukimaru in on a mission to capture the Three-Tailed Beast. Their efforts are repeatedly interrupted by a group of Konoha ninja. After four of the members are killed and Guren realizes that Orochimaru has little concern for her, she defects with Yukimaru and Gozu.
