Team Kurenai, also known as Team 8, is led by Kurenai Yuhi. Each member of the team specializes in tracking or finding things: the Hyuga clan's Byakugan; the Aburame clan's bugs; and the Inuzuka clan's dogs. When Kurenai becomes pregnant in Part II, the team is led by Kakashi on some of its missions.
Most of the missions Team Kurenai has been seen on take place in the anime. In Part I they locate the Bikochu Beetle, apprehend Gosunkugi, and go on a treasure hunt (which is actually meant to test their teamwork skills). In Part II the team is grouped together with Team Kakashi, first locating one of Orochimaru's bases in the anime and later helping to hunt for Itachi.
