Tanzō (タンゾウ, Tanzō) is a genin-level shinobi from Konohagakure. He is now called captain Yamato

Appearance

Tanzō had short black hair and wore his forehead protector around his neck. He also wore a high collared shirt that was half black and half grey along with a pair of grey pants with his shuriken holster strapped to his right leg.

Part I

Chūnin Exam Arc

He and the rest of his team made it to the second phase of the Chūnin Exams. While he was out hunting, Shibire and Minoji decided to open their scroll, the contents of which knocked them out. Tanzō returned to find them in this state. Unable to revive them, they were disqualified.

Invasion of Konoha Arc

He was also seen at the Third Hokage's funeral.
