Name[]

Is that "Corrosive Gas" really a name? Isn't it just a description of what it is?--Kind-Hearted-One (talk) 12:41, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Actually this is unnamed. --Ilnarutoanime -NejiLoverr- 12:49, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
Then why put a name?--Kind-Hearted-One (talk) 14:09, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

It's a description, but if you check the infobox you will see that we still have it as unnamed. We use it simply because that is what it is called in the manga.--Deva 27 14:30, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

What Deva said. --Ilnarutoanime -NejiLoverr- 14:34, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Game Name[]

Seeing as to how we now have it's name from a game, and the name we have now for it is just a description, should we change it to the game name. It's the closest to official name that we have. However, it says Acid, doesn't Saiken use Alkali? Should we still do it anyway? Guy never said it was Alkali in this form.71.71.58.231 (talk) 18:16, February 10, 2013 (UTC) Yomiko-chan

Considering we already sort of have a name for it, I would rather wait until we actually have the kanji for the technique before renaming it. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 00:51, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
So, in one of the images released recently, available at the official game site, this technique's name is Acid Scattering (酸散, Sansan). We don't have any actual confirmation in the manga that the stuff Saiken spit was actually an alkali, so I think there's not much of a situation to be discussed, but just in case, anyone against the rename from the game? Anime Debut[]

So it was shown that Utakata already used the technique against Pain back then. While the technique was beige (I think) when Utakata used it, the preview for episode 326 shows that it is pink when Saiken uses it. Also, the technique appears to be slightly different when first shown. It seems to be a liquid acid while the large version Saiken uses is a gas. Worth to be mentioned?Norleon (talk) 17:48, August 15, 2013 (UTC)

I wouldn't stress much about it. They suddenly corrected Mei's lava colour as well to what it appears to what the manga intended all along. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 20:26, August 15, 2013 (UTC)
